  1. It depends on who he falls in love with. If it's a WR I could see him moving down a little. Last couple years he moved up to get the guy he fell for. If it's a different position he may move up.
  2. We got Fangio over a simular situation. A position coach getting the HC'ing job he interviewed for. And Fangio was sure to make sure it was an actual HC interview this time and not a courtesy. The fact he hasn't ran off somewhere already is a good thing, and at least a chance he will stay.

    Pop quiz hotshot

Thats y Fangio must be signed

    Nagy's offense

Yes we need a number 1 Wr. Pace came from a system with no number one with the Saints. Kansas city and Philly under Reid rarely had one. The Patriots dont need a number one because of Brady. There's a big need for a number one but may be with a flaw that the new HC and Pace may undervalue.

    Matt Nagy

I didn't make it real clear what I was talking about. I hope the guy does good. He's a total wild card. He has 10 years with Reid including as an intern. He could be his next coming. He became a QB coach 5 years ago and is now a HC. It could be genius just grabbing someone on the rise. Personally, I like something more to go on. I'm not sure how he is with QB's. He was with Alex Smith as QB coach or OC every year he's been in KC, but Alex Smith's uptick really started under Harbaugh a couple years earlier. I won't be on here poopooing on the signing everyday. Maybe a couple years from now. I'd just like something a little more proven at such an important position, during the critical years of Trubisky's development.

    Matt Nagy

Run an offense for half a year, become a HC based of that. Another head ache. Edit: 5 games, my bad
  7. Shumur about ruined his career after his time in Cleveland. Deflippo is only a QB coach, with no proof he can handle a higher position and with Foles he's not a QB whisperer. Wilks didn't lead a dominate D this year. They can do better than these prospects. McDaniels bombed harder than any coach in recent memory that didn't coach the browns. Alex Smith had good years without Nagy. And if anything, Trestman proved that one year of high offense doesnt mean anything going forward.
  8. I dont like any of the interviews so far, I hope better ones pop up
  9. I figured he may be QB coach if they were keeping Cutler around another year. I'm sure Gase will be keeping the play calling, but good luck to them with Low Gains
  10. With no stars on D, injuries abound, the Bears were 9th in points per game, 10th in yards per game, and 11th in yards per play. I hope they do all they can to retain Fangio, outside of giving him the head coaching the game. I want him doing the x's and o's, and not busy running the team. Pay him, name him assistant head coach, do whatever they need to.
  11. I'm going to throw out a guy that may be too old to consider for HC or even OC. Carl "Tater" Smith. He'll be 70 this year. He has a vast coaching experienc, over 45 years, including many years as a QB coach, OC, and a few as assistant head coach. The HC or OC, and QB combo could be known as Biscuit and Taters.... And did I mention, Tater has been grooming Russell Wilson since Wilson entered the NFL. I tend to see a lot of Wilson in Trubisky, and it would be nice to see the guy that brought Wilson being in charge of his development. It's really more of on OC want of mine, but with his experience, he could be a head coach.
  12. None of the candidates are really standing out to me so far. I need to start doing some research. With McDaniels, it's easy to say it's because of Brady. However, Jimmy G turned out pretty good after the time he spent with him.
  13. Or you could argue the talent that Pace has brought in and his control of the roster would scare good HC prospects away. It just gives me a head ache honestly. The team is so bad you fire your head coach, then you give the GM an extension for his work building those teams. Hopefully it works out, and the Bears get a good HC and OC that is able to bring Trubisky along.
  14. I'd like to see Jordy come over and teach Trubisky some stuff

    Jeff Fisher

I'm still hoping they steal Harbaugh, and we get to keep Fangio. Not going to happen, but would be really excited if it did happen. And I vote D-Z all the things stronger than that no on Fisher.
  16. I'll defend Trubisky against anyone, I really think he has potential to be the next Russell Wilson or better with what he has displayed so far. That's why I will also be ok with John Fox being let go. I loved John Fox as a higher, as I thought he would be a good presence through the transition of a total roster rebuild. However, I feel he got lazy. His specialty is the D side of the ball, and Fangio has covered that well. Offensively, "Low Gains" has been inept. Fox hasn't shown the pull or interest in bringing in better offensive players, doesn't have the team prepared week to week, and the coaching decisions he makes are usually rather poor. I'll also debate Pace's competence with anyone that feels the need. It's pointless, but the talent level of this roster is based on him. His best pro additions to the team IMHO were Hicks and Trevathan, which were players from his old team or his HC's old team. He has no true talent at evaluating talent.
  17. It went back to his roots. He was a over the free agent signings and talent on the Saints. They had a horrible D every year, and weren't known for great free agent signings. I wasn't impressed. He gave me Trubisky like I wanted, so he was going to get a pass from me for the year. However, look at the talent he surrounded him with. There isnt a legit WR on the team, except for Merridith, a number 2 at best. The offensive line needs a lot of work. To top it off, Loggains is calling the plays. I could make a big list of why I don't like Pace, but I will say 2 things instead. How well was his evaluation Glennon before making him rich? Are you satisfied with the talent on the team which is built with mostly players he brought in?
  18. Is the team bad because of coaching or lack of talent? I'd argue both. If the talent is this poor after a few years and a total roster overhaul, then Pace himself should be first in line to the chopping block. That said, this is the McCaskey's. They will hold a press conference, fire loggins and everyone else keep their job or something.
  19. I'm fine if Fox goes or stays. Fangio needs kept. Jay Cutler's OC best buddy needs to leave. Pace needs to go for depleting this team of talent more than Emery and Angelo.
  20. I don't see how he is not seeing the field well when they only let him pass 7 times. He completed 4 of those for over 25 yards a pass, but the team is forcing him into only passing when it is expeted and not giving him a chance to get into a rhythm. The play calling is attrocious
  21. that time out after the Minnesota time out came back to bite the bears.
  22. The Bears will never need that time out....
  23. That first down pass was perfect on 3rd down to start the game.
  24. The Bears may not win, Trubisky may not set the world on fire, but tonight is his first step to greatness. As long as he stays healthy, I think he will be in the top 5 QB's in the NFL discussion in a couple years. Once he gets some tools to work with.
