  1. There has been a lot of crazy calls and no calls in games the last couple weeks.
  2. If the Bears can win despite this penalties, they are good enough to do something in the play offs.
  3. Crazy drive, but the Bears are back in it and some nice plays on that drive, and negated plays ( the jeffery run and forte's).
  4. I saw a foot fly in there some one, Kyle was getting pissed over something.
  5. Good feel in that pocket for a 9 yards.
  6. Or by the end of the quarter.
  7. I liked that they went right back with a pass to him (even for a loss) and a run right after. It keeps him in the game and shows confidence.
  8. That was a very nice long drive and mixing it up with the run and the pass.
  9. Nice of the Bears to spot them a few points. Give them some confidence, before you break it and blow them out.
  10. I think that is a bad comparison. Manning is like a frankenstien's monster of the best things McCown and Cutler bring. McCown has his ability to read defenses and work through progressions to exploit Trestman's system. Cutler has a great arm and good ball placement a lot of the time. That combination makes Manning great. McCown has shown in his games that he's able to make a last minute scoring drive against the Lions. He kept up in a shoot out against the Redskins. I know it's not the best defenses, but Cutler struggled against both. I just don't see why McCown gets relegated to Alex Smith.
  11. You're definitely in the majority over all and more importantly the team thinks like you do. Most likely he will be given the reigns when he is healthy, and will be tagged at the end of the year. It all is moot at this point. Honestly, I just think the offense as a whole operates better with McCown. Trestman doesn't see it that way, in the end that's what matters.
  12. Being that he is 4 and 4, and made big contributions to 3 of the 4 losses I wouldn't say it's a good year. Statistically he has been good as a hole. However, his play has contributed to 3 of 4 losses and Cutler is 4 and 4 on the season. I'm not sure his superior arm is making the difference. Minnesota he had 3 turn overs. The first Detroit game he had 4 turnovers. He went 3 for 8 in the first half before getting hurt with an int returned for a TD against Washington. The second Detroit game he was injured, but had a bad game also.
  13. I definitely don't agree with his reasoning, but at least he has some reasoning behind it. I felt he should have started calling time outs when they were near field goal range. When they were in the 5, that was just a crazy gamble, this is just not a defense that makes that stand 8 times out of 10.

    Josh McCown

I saw it off of a post I saw on another board. I had to steal it and finally have a sig on here lol, it was too great.

Lol yea that is a great quote. McCown talked up all the guys like it was going to be a huge moment in their life, because it was in his. I was listening to Bennett last week, and he said he doesn't have any thing football in his house, so his reaction to it fit lol.

It's hard not to like the guy. http://espn.go.com/blog/nfcnorth/post/_/id...s-bears-winning
  17. Isn't that a penalty, the runner isn't supposed to lower his head like that and cause a helmet to helmet.
  18. Why the hell isn't Trestman calling time out
  19. I think McCown audibled to it.
  20. If the receivers start catching and the refs start calling pass interference. A positive way to look at it tho, the Bears are up 13-7 since the delay.
  21. Wow, let's throw a flag on every play against the Bears, but not throw any against Baltimore.
  22. I'm not sure they can get traction to hammer it in.
  23. You're right, I shouldn't have thrown the last comment in. We do tend to have different views in general. I should have just stated what I did and left it at that.
  24. There were 4 or 5 Lions there. That was not going to be a TD to Bennett. It was at best going to be incomplete and most likely a pick. The one play was not a drop by Jeffery was not a drop by definition. Marshall had no chance at that ball. http://thebiglead.com/2013/11/10/jay-cutle...y-deandre-levy/ You can see the INT from 2 different angles there. The second you can see Levy following Cutler's eyes as he was staring down Bennett. The first you can see how many Lions were there. I couldn't find the other plays, but didn't look that hard. There's no reason to argue with someone who thought Webb did well last year, as we see football differently.
