  1. AP and Howard are similar backs both lacking in pass receiving so I say no because if you want a similar back draft Fournette. If you want a true young one two punch, Tennessee's Kamara or Clemson's Galman are 3rd day options.
  2. The reason for taking a QB in the first as a long term solution is because of the contract structure which gives teams the opportunity to sign the 1st rounder to an extra year(5?) which is the situation that presented itself to the Seahawks and Russell Wilson when his original contract expired. That should be the only reason why they would take a QB in round 1. That is why I'm on board with trading back into the first for a QB.
  3. We can find stats to support any cause! I wonder how many of those ints were pick 6's?
  4. The idea of "red shirting" players has always been something the Bears have done but, winning may have more of a premium than we think with this organization. I am also on the Jake Butt bandwagon. The problem is that the Bears need playmakers now. Selfishly I want all the Bears picks to be available on every Sunday this Fall.
  5. The second tier of prospects is where the Bears are probably targeting with Glennon as a 2 year window to this prospect. My second tier is Mahomes, Webb, Kaaya and Peterman are in this group IMO. Peterman because the staff worked with him and could see if what they showed him translated on the field at the Senior Bowl.

Clemson Steve Fuller 1st round for Chiefs Jimmy Claussen 2nd round Panthers TJ Yates 5th round? Texans Bust my chops if I'm wrong on Yates because this is off the top of my head.
  7. Agreed about Meredith and Patterson! He is Devin Hester with less stats on kick returns imo. I like the idea of adding a Zay Jones or Evan Engram by round 3.
  8. I will have no problem rooting for a guy sucks up to the fans and here's hoping he means it!
  9. This WR group has no one currently that scares opponents, so in my mind a wildcard pick at 3 would be Mike Williams but, I'm not on board with that! I do think that if we are patient as fans and a franchise, we are going to have a relatively young team that might mirror the 84 team!
  10. Damn Jason stop spying on me while I'm writing my notes lol! My only difference is Mixon at the 3rd pick and I'm hoping for either Obi .... and Zay Jones at this spot.
  11. How about take a draft pick and add him to Glennon and Shaw and bring in a an undrafted FA to be a TC arm and practice squad candidate.

You are respected by me for your research, so I ask find the Stanford front 7 player/s that have transitioned well to the NFL.
  13. Unless the packers spend some draft picks on o-line and RB they may be in for a unexpected fall from grace. Their defense is suspect also.
  14. I didn't realize he was a RFA but ,he is coming off his best special teams year which leads me to believe is where his current value is to the team.
  15. I keep seeing post with Leno being replaced but nothing about Massie who was worst imo. I say draft an OT 3rd or 4th round maybe Taylor Moton or Julien Davenport and let them all battle for the 3 line spots in question. LT, RT, and C.
  16. Yes! This is my preferred prospect at this position because his only flaw is stretching the seam!
  17. My fantasy idea is trying Langford at WR. He already changed from DB at MSU and has decent hands.
  18. I also believe the Bears may not have been willing to commit to a 2nd year for Hoyer.
  19. Isn't Hooker currently recovering from surgery?
  20. If he signs for what is being rumored, he undoubtedly will be the starter in OTAs. You also no what the veteran NFL personnel men say"if you have 4 QBs you don't have one. I like the idea of this move that because we have a GM that is putting his butt on the line with this move. When the Bears acquired Cutler Angelo went all in but, he mortgaged some of the future to get him and the team has been reeling every since. At least this move is not doing that!
  21. I understand all about health information laws but, they were hyping this guy right next to Garrett as a possible number 1 overall pick and I believe if his medical info was a problem that hype would have been tempered some. Those analysts all know what info is going around and they carefully say things like " There are some red flags about him medically" and they did that on numerous prospects.
  22. What intrigues me most is that someone at North Carolina State saw something in him(Glennon) that they didn't see in Russell Wilson causing the later to transfer to Wisconsin. Someone in the Tampa front office saw something in him to draft him early but didn't build a team around him and wound up with the number 1 overall pick which resulted in them picking Winston a no brainer. This relegated Glennon to backup which the Bucs liked him so much so that they offered to make him the highest paid backup in the league.
