I agree and as I posted on the poll thread, that will allow them to take the best player at 2 and come back and take a look at QB at 34.

I'm tired of falling in love with the backup journeyman Bears quarterback! That is Hoyer. Does everyone remember what was said when Josh McCown left for Tampa? He is heading to Dallas to visit and become the veteran caddie to Prescott. That's his 3rd team since leaving here! That's what journeymen do and Hoyer for all his careful low turnover play didn't convert red zone trips into touchdowns. This is the boldest move this team has made since acquiring Doug Flutie back in the 80's and spending a number 1 pick on Jim Harbaugh when they didn't need a QB in 87. I also want a quarterback drafted no later than round 3 regardless of Glennon being here or not and it will be clear he will not be expected to play on day 1 and can develop the right way. Potential QB depth chart Glennon Shaw Draft pick We went 3-13 with Cutler, Hoyer, Shaw, Barkley and Fales.Lets hit the restart button.
-
Shanahan was Hoyer's OC at Cleveland in 2014 and has offered him a chance to start because of his familiarity with the system.
-
True and he was allowed to play the whole game early on! This is supposedly something scouts are taking into account with Kizer as Kelly also designates certain series to another QB.
-
I think Shaw got a raw deal in college playing in Spurrier's 2 QB system.
-
Its Gilmore for me!

You don't need to trade for Glennon he is a FA.

Arthritis in both shoulders for Jonathan Allen DE

After watching the combine start to finish the only mention about Allen's surgery was that he went back to school to prove that he had recovered from the surgery and with him being heavily poked and prodded at the combine, I'm sure it would be public knowledge right now on NFL Network. None of the big 3 scouting experts Mayock, Jeremiah or Davis mention anything about his health. -
unofficial John Ross just beat Chris Johnson's 40 time.
-
Glennon would be an option that I could be on board with but if we are going fishing why not a 5th round pick for not Jimmy G but Jacoby Brissett? Young enough to be developmental and has taken snaps in an NFL game.
-
The fact that this GM is restructuring the roster his own way is not shocking to me and players acquired by previous regimes being launched is not a shock either.I will take a wait and see approach starting with FA and then the draft.
-
I say let the oft injured, cheater go and I once declared myself the president of his fan club when he was in college! Jeff Dickerson of AM1000 is saying that the Bears are not going to tag him which puts them in a position to outbid someone for their own player's services. That's not going to happen. He played 12 games and caught 2 TDs last year. Is that worth 17 plus million?

Mocks Pre-Combine are mocking fans fantasies. Those of us who have watched college football all year know that this mock is just to generate comments on their site.

Sources are reporting the Browns will release Josh McCown.

You're trade frenzied draft's 3rd round would a heck of a haul!
-
Thought I read somewhere that he was one of the best FA signings this past offseason in terms of value and production. 71 tackles from a d-lineman is awesome.
-
Some of the defensive players he has released have had moderate success with Jones, Wilfork, Seymore and Ty Law off the top of my head but when it comes to QBs different story. Bledsoe, Cassell, Hoyer and Mallett didn't do much after NE and Bledsoe was replaced by an undrafted free agent named Tony Romo.

If they are going to do that then base it on a fluctuating scale based on positions and sport because not all professional athletes should be grouped together because Golfers and Bowlers are professional athletes also. In the case of a football, lets use Tom Brady for an example a QB already pass 35 who has showed no signs of slowing down and gets injured in the SB if he played for the Bears and this legislation was passed he would sue and win because of how he is currently playing and the amount of money he could earn in the next couple of years as an athlete which he has indicated that he still plans on doing. I'm almost certain this isn't the first time this ownership has tried to get the attention of the state legislature. Back when Illinois didn't charge income tax to players from other teams and found out this was being done in other states, some of the owners of this states teams were trying with some of the player agents to see if they could avoid this but, instead got Illinois a new revenue flow and made it essential for all professional to fill state income tax returns in almost all the states they play their sport in.

With a lot of the medical plans changing for companies because of doctors and hospitals getting out of some of the group medical plans because of The ACA. The one thing I have heard along those lines that there may be some lobbyists representing medical professional spearheading that legislation. There has been a big push in this state for years to put a cap on the amounts that can paid out as a result of work related injuries that shouldn't have anything to do with the McCaskeys.

This is the year to add Secondary,TE and DL/ OLB help all draft but offensive players may get overvalued especially QB and OL.
-
I agree 100% and almost wish he could be added to the mix here but there are too many needs to address before WR. What did you think about Bucknell OT Julien Davenport? His body type reminded me of D' Brickishaw Ferguson.
-
His Combine showing will determine that. That is the kind of play making skills the Bears have lacked since Peanut, Briggs and Urlacher left.
-
Zay Jones WR East Carolina OJ Howard TE Ala Obi Melaifonwa SS U Conn Lorenzo Jerome FS St Francis Cooper Kupp WR Eastern Wash Julien Davenport OT Bucknell Haason Reddick OLB Temple
-
The QB/ WR or TE didn't work with Luck and Fleener off the top of my head.
-
I agree with you both on this player and think if you go this route he becomes that hybrid Safety/ LB player.
