Make a realistic trade
Finally, something we can disagree on. The fact remains; the Bears last winning season (10-6) was while Lovie was HC. Slice and dice it all you want. Until we return to the playoffs and/or return to the Super Bowl; he will be the last coach to have done any of that.

Make a realistic trade
I hate to say it but I like. Although beyond the first two names I have to say I have no idea who any of these guys are. I'm intrigued by the safety named 'Budda'. Or should that be 'Bubba'? Either way, I like the uniqueness. If he were Budda; I'd hope to call him the new 'minister of pain'.

What do we do with our 1st round pick
Ha. Yeah I'd like to see him try and pull an 'Eli' and say he won't play for a certain place. That would be a punk thing to do. But I think he's more saying he'd prefer not play in cold climates. Can't says as I blame him. Want to say Hester said that once too and he managed. Hell, they said this year was the first time Leonard Floyd had seen or played in snow. Being a cold weather resident sucks. But then if I were making millions to play football; I'd somehow figure out how to cope.

Cousins
Are they in a position to want to get rid of him? Do they have anothe QB in the wings? Your proposal has ghosts of Cutler in it. Is Cousins that high a commodity?

Redskins vs Bears Game Thread
One concern I have with Howard is his body frame. He's similar to Eddie Lacey in frame style and would hope he doesn't turn into a loaf like Lacey has.

Redskins vs Bears Game Thread
Nah. I think the answer is going to either be a starting capable rookie QB (Wentz or Prescott like) or Connor Shaw. If Barkley has more time to gel with the offense in the offseason and competes well enough in camp, he should also be considered.

Redskins vs Bears Game Thread
Most of the big catch plays have been whenever Porters been covering. He needs to sit and given his age possibly let go next year. I swear Cutler is dressing up like Barkley. He's really been looking less than stellar these last few weeks. And no it's not because defenses are 'figuring him out'. He's simply stinking it up. I really want to see Barkley succeed. He has the potential to make smart choices and looks great in the pocket - most of the time. *edit: one observation I do see is that Barkley plays much better under time pressure. Like in two minute offense situations. Is there a way they could develop their offense on that? Similar to what Peyton did?

Late round CBs?
Yeah but they're safeties. Sounds like Marlon Humphery is a top tier prospect. Although he's only a Sophomore. O

Late round CBs?
I'm sure there is someone with Alabama that would do fine.

Should we trade Kyle Fuller?
In another post I thought perhaps Fuller would be better suited at FS. After reading this and witnessing his ONE good year (out of four so far?) ... Eff him. Damn prima-Donna. Cut his ass.

Team Needs
QB for sure (and probably even a second one later on). But perhaps as many as two CBs? Reason is I'm not sold on Porter any longer and wonder if Fuller works out(?) If he does, wonder if Fangio would utilize him better as a FS? He seems to lack coverage ability.

Future bright
Pretty good write up and agree with most of it. One exception would probably be Porter. He's really started to fall off these last number of weeks and literally is holding on to keep up. Too many penalties as a result. Been a great player in the past but time for him to move on. Any chance we'll see this Banks kid play soon? Isn't it weird how Detroit is doing better without Megatron? I keep hearing that and it seems bizarre that it's true.

Dak Prescott question...
When you consider doing this think of Brock Osweiller. Nope.

Bears vs Packers
Next to seeing Rodgers go down in a heap a few times when he was sacked; this had to be the highlight of the game for me.

Bears vs Packers
I'd like to add that the team has a great future with these youngsters out there. LeBlanc and Kwitkowski are looking pretty good. Fangio really needs a lot of credit for what he's done. #7 defense is nothing to snort at. Except for a 50 yard pass near the end of the game. Ugh!

Bears vs Packers
Yeah Barkley ripped into Braverman after that last INT so there was mis-communication indeed. Thing of it is, similar to the notes of Pix and Chile; Cutlers been doing crap like this for years - year after year. Barkley has a smaller sample size. And he's starting to make amends to his errors as I type. (Notice how looking back into the sun the turnovers seem to be aplenty and since going back the other way, Barkley and Co. Are back on course.) I'm still a strong believer in Barkley.

Bears vs Packers
Ack!!! Did Jay Cutler sneak in and put on Barkleys uniform? What in the hell? BRING BACK the real BARKLEY!!

Welcome to the club! Lol. He's a sharp young man. Future looks good with him.

Mike Freeman Reporting Fox will be fired at the end of the season
Absolutely this. I'd probably denounce my Bears fandom if they were to hire a lout like McDaniels. I feel that Fox and Co. are owed at least one more season. Fox (and to some degree Pace) were stuck with Cutler thanks to the nimrod known as Emery. It's well documented that Pace had tried to unsuccessfully pass along Cutler to those that picked early QBs these last few years (Titans and Eagles). They should be given the opportunity to try and make it a go Cutler-free and see what comes of it.

Dak Prescott question...
Couldn't agree more. We already have a former NE QB on our team in Hoyer and back up QBs from NE don't usually translate to starter material for other teams. Prescott would have done fine here. He didn't have a spectacular line in Mississipi (32 sacks allowed last year). Dak didn't play under center as much and has said MSU ran a very NFL like offense. He has a similar skill set as does Russell Wilson (who was picked third round by the way). As I pointed out before once things settled down and the coaches finally were able to move on from Cutler, Dak would have been pressed into service and performed well. Just like how Howard is doing in the running game.

The Bears should draft an Alabama player
Another one to remember is CJ Mosely. Picked #17 by Baltimore. Three picks after our pick which was Kyle Fuller. -Ugh- Some other personal faves from Alabama; Derrick Henry, Landon Collins, Eddie Lacy (yes that one), Mark Ingram and Julio Jones. Of course one favorite we actually had on the team was Marc Anderson. He is probably the last one that was actually drafted by the Bears. Alabama continues to churn out a decent number of NFL caliber players and the Bears would be wise to at least look at one or two for next year.
