How long before he starts playing? And how long after that before he’s injured again? ??‍♂️

I was thinking he reminded me more of a Chris Conte who liked to lay wood but would be injured all the time because of it. Being a SS I thought Brisker would be better at run stopping than he has been. I didn't think he'd been going soft...maybe he has.

After looking up "Sam Howell" I learned he broke Trubisky records while at NC. Who knew? I see he was drafted by Wash in a more fitting place in the 5th round. You think they were hoping to find their next Kirk Cousins?

I would argue consistently mediocre. Edwards was/is the #2 overall tackler in the NFL (at least yesterday he was). Of course he's also on the field a lot...so there's that. And in another post someone mentioned that the much maligned Sam Mustipher was recently the 2nd ranked Center(?). Of course it was PFF. So maybe he's doing better because of better coaching? ?‍♂️ And to add to your thought, to me Ngakoue has been the biggest disappointment. He's nowhere near the advertised '8 sacks per season' pace. I get that Edmunds has been busy juggling a new scheme and playcalling so there is that 'excuse' for him to come along slower, but I mean Yannick's specialty is rushing the QB. And it ain't happen' much so far.

FWIW my wife likes watching Cole because he looks like Ashton Kutcher, but with more muscles. ? She would agree that he shouldn't be doing the sneaks either.

So the Bienemy transfer thing isn't working out so well for him?

I’d like to throw out an honorable mention to ESB too for his performance yesterday. He made a pretty sweet sideline catch and was out there doing his part on blocking. And as Adam pointed out, all on his bday. Much better production than Claypool.

He did well yesterday against one of the best cover defenders out there. Props to Justin too FWIW.

At the risk of digging on Justin, this goes to show you how the supposed draft “experts” are more inaccurate than they are spot on. They’re paid good money to hypothesize. Most of us could do their job as good if not better.

While the Bears prepare for Thursday night, it appears Claypool will not be with them.

My rant was a heat of the moment lapse. I edited the “quitter” part out and apologize for going off. This loss stung as much or more than the Parkey double doink to me. I still have confidence in Fields’ ability and think the coaches really muffed it. Yes I get your slow read concerns but he wasn’t doing that for a majority of the game. It wasn't until he fumbled the ball did the wheels start to wobble. And as Matt Ryan kept pointing out Getsy needed to scheme less of having Justin with his back to the line because that fumble was a result of doing that very thing. For now I rescind my total flush comment. I’d definitely be ok with them flushing Getsy and Flus and installing an interim right now. Maybe that will spark some better play calls on both sides of the ball and better efficiency from the players? I say stick to eight games to see how Fields does then let Bagent run the rest of the season. Even with an interim and assuming it continues to go the way it is, you’re still on target with getting Williams next year.

The Bears are this generation of Browns. Will have a team full of 1st round talent searching indefinitely for its “franchise QB”.

I was wondering what difference it made to do it now or wait . I know having a short week plays into it but the team won’t be really trying anyhow if they keep Flus or Getsy. Maybe a firing or two ASAP would make some incremental change? Poles did not look the least bit happy at the end of the game.

Might be a TD at the rate it’s going. At the very least Getsy needs firing asap. And probably Flus since his D lost this game (if they lose).

Welp, this will be the measure to how well Justin does from here on out. If he takes the team on his back and wins then yay…if he flounders…he may be done.

Justin looked good BUT on one play he called an audible I think into the teeth of a blitz. Didn’t see what the pre-lineup was. Otherwise Justin looked solid.
