  1. Caleb was on the St Brown Brothers podcast. He said he wants a leader of men, offensive guru and someone that matches his aggressive nature. Near the end he all but said he wanted Ben.
  2. I was pissed. Same thing a few years later with Arians.
  3. Nagy was never the driving force of KC's offense. Still isn't...
  4. The longer we wait, the less coveted our job will be. Interviewing so many people is just ridiculous.
  5. The problem I've seen with coaches following "high personality guys" is that the second act doesn't play the same. Vrabel is the only one from the Belichick tree to break through. Flores tried to be a dick like Bill and failed. Who off the Reid tree can match match his goofy swag? Who off of either Harbaugh brothers tree is there? Tomlin tree is non-existent. The only trees we hear about today is shamanism Shanahan and McVey. It was a lot of blah blah to get here, but if we hire Ben Johnson, there is no way we can imagine him having that monster personality of Dan Campbell. Can he learn fatherly lessons? Yes. Johnson will just have to do it his authentic way or it will come off disingenuous.
  6. I think it comes down to the OMG plays. Carter has them and Dexter doesn't. Carter seems to be much more explosive. Dexter is a big strong effort guy.
  7. I don't believe that at all. If he believes what we all believe, that George meddles, I would hesitate. There are monetary, personnel and power dynamics as well. He has Cinderellas slipper right now...
  8. My best friend's are Steelers fans. They both think his time has come but...
  9. He signed an extension recently. I think we'd have to trade for him.
  10. I heard they are interviewing the regional sales rep from Gatorade next. NFL record for interviews...🤮
  11. I think Brady will buffer the crazy out of Davis.
  12. Vrabel to Pats. Bears hibernating...
  13. Andy Reid recommended Nagy. Wanna swordfight...🤔
  14. Self deprecating humor aside, I am changing my coaching preference. I'm down to three coaches only. The only criteria for these choices are experience, success and culture. That eliminates Johnson. Vrabel-he's the front runner to get the Patriots gig. Add that Georgie it's probably afraid of him. Carroll - one of his personnel said Pete is a guy that makes everyone believe they are a huge piece of the puzzle. Gets maximum buy-in and effort out of everyone. McCarthy - I consider him because he knows how to build a culture and run a camp. Here's my choice, if all I hear is true. Pete Carroll evidently proposed to the Bears that he has a three year plan, while setting the culture and grooming a replacement. The replacement candidate would coordinate and be assistant HC. I can see our set of leaders doing a circke jerk with reach around with this thought process. I like it too. If the right guy is groomed.(Johnson anyone?). Pun intended...😝
  15. With a bum shoulder. I love the heart...
  16. It's lunacy. There's Vrabel, Johnson and Carroll and nobody else.
  17. Poles gave the list of the interview panel, pasted below. I have zero clue how they say Poles will have the final say, when Warren would not endorse Poles when asked if the potential coach wanted his own GM. It was almost like the "Rex is our QB moment". Bears GM Ryan Poles said that he “will lead a six-person interview panel” as the team works to hire a new coach, according to Jason Lieser of the CHICAGO SUN-TIMES. The panel will consist of Poles -- who will have “final say on the coach” -- President Kevin Warren, Chair George McCaskey, Dir of Football Administration Matt Feinstein, Senior Player Personnel Dir Jeff King and EVP/People and Culture & Chief Human Resources Officer Liz Geist.
  18. Honestly, why would Vrabel consider going anywhere but New England? He and Kraft already have a great relationship and he's a legend in the organization. Vrabel knows there won't be meddling either. I'm still on the Ben Johnson, them Vrabel bandwagon. Another reason to like Johnson involves Sean McVay. McVay traded for Matt Stafford because he didn't think Goff could get him over the hump. Goff is every bit of a franchise quarterback under Johnson. I love that Johnson predicates his offense on play action. It's literally the quarterback's best friend. Johnson has a creative/innovative side on a level that most don't. For his offense to be as good as it is, there has to be discipline. He's not afraid to get rid of people either. His RB coach Duce Staley was a distraction, as seen on Hard Knocks. He was always talking smack with Aaron Glenn. Even though their running game was great, he was canned. I just have a gut feeling on this one.
  19. Please watch the press conferences from McCaskey, Warren and Poles. OMG George is such a buffoon. He literally started his presser by thanking Matt Eberflus. Listen to Poles when asked about pressure placed on Caleb. Add the fact that we are interviewing thirteen HC candidates, shows that George is still involved, regardless of what he says. Vrabel and Johnson have to be scratching their heads. There are guys on the list I've never heard of. I'm certainly scratching mine. Shit show is our floor, while mediocre is the ceiling, as long as it smells like George...
  20. I picked him in a mock last night. Last year, I was enamored by Tvondre Sweat. Watching a human his size move the way he did at the combine is amazing. For now, I'm just doing five round drafts.
  21. Why the holy hell are we interviewing 13 freaking people for the HC position? The real candidates must be shaking their heads. Not a good look. Just stupid...
  22. Yeah, he's the new Clouney or Ngakue
  23. I'd trade him for a wet diaper...
  24. Yup, it's like when Lawrence Taylor was late for the bus. The guy walking in with him got the ass chewing. One better is that Michael Jordan would purposely let the person walk on the bus before him and the dude would still get the ass chewing... Lol
  25. And their WR corps and oline were decimated this year.
