  1. Halftime thoughts: Johnson is being too cute with the play calls. Where did Loveland go? Need more quick throws out and in. Where are the deep shots? Edit: Caleb Williams is a f@cktard. Two times, he's thrown away a ball and had no clue where his receivers were. Maddening!
  2. I don't think so. It would be in Braxton's best interest to be traded. Now, he'll go into free agency as a benched backup, instead of a marginal starter.
  3. Hard to trade a guy that's on IR.
  4. I don't know if I'd compare him to Davis. When you injure a hamstring, your body becomes out of tune from foot to neck. Sometimes another injury will pop up. In his case and it's a groin. Same thing happened with Johnson, as his injury was different than the one he initially missed camp with. Davis simply didn't want to play. Gordon seems to genuinely play with joy.
  5. I was looking at next year's cap and there is not much room. Players that probably won't be here are Edmunds, Kmet, Moore and Jarrett. I say this because the first three are cap friendly cuts without huge dead money. Jarrett is simply not a need and high salary. (Wasted signing so far). The 25 draft saw us select Moore, Kmet and Jarrett's potential replacements. That Dayo signing looks to be a bust as well, but I don't know if he's cut-able. I know this has all been discussed before, but I thought the 25 draft was cool inclusion. Who else? Kiran?
  6. And as the world turns, Jayden "RGIII" Daniels is already ruled out, again...
  7. I didn't want to start a new thread, but the debate is formally over.

    2024 vs 2025

Look at our 3rd down efficiency on O and D. It's a pleasant improvement.
  9. I can't put a finger on Caleb yet. What I do know is he is not Justin Fields. He can work the middle of the field. Caleb also shows the ability to work through progressions and stay in the pocket. What I want to see is quicker recognition and accuracy. IMO, the arrow is up and can't wait to see it ...
  10. I've been looking at the roughing the passer rules, because I truly don't understand how that penalty was called on Brisker. He hit the QB's arm while the ball was being thrown and the follow through brushed the QB's head. Isn't there a provision in there where you are making a play on the ball? Kinda like blocking a punt and blowing up the punter in the process... Jason, can you elaborate?
  11. Caleb is my guy, but really liked Maye before the draft. I think Maye is going to be the best of them all. Followed by Caleb, Daniels, Nix and Penix.
  12. Something in Caleb's corner; the Bears are the only team in the NFL to score 21+ PPG.
  13. It definitely is. I wrote validation protocols in a FDA regulated environment, so I can get pretty whacky. What about a Taser to the groin upon the thought of impropriety?...🤪
  14. The only thing that would help is making the refs pass a polygraph before taking the field.
  15. That was for play balls. Then they had K balls for kicking. Kickers said it was like kicking a brick.
  16. I don't like the onside kick, as it removed the running start. The reason you are seeing monster field goals is due to the NFL letting teams break in the kicking balls.
  17. Agreed on offense. Who knows on D...
  18. My buddy had a testicle hit up into his pelvic cavity. They had to pop it out through his colon...🤯
  19. Something I forgot to say on the week 6 thread. Johnson not only replaced Braxton Jones, he sent a loud and clear message to Darnell Wright by doing so. (And anyone else on the team, for that matter) We don't care. We will replace you with a UDFA if you don't do your job. We don't Fn care and I love it.
  20. I watched the replay several times and it looked like he shot the gap, which is legal. It's pretty gray area that I don't fully understand. I'm gonna dig into it. Here it is. In the NFL, a long snapper is considered a "defenseless player" during field goals and extra points and cannot be contacted in the head or neck area while his head is down. The defensive team also has specific formation restrictions to protect the snapper. However, unlike college football, the NFL does not provide a mandatory time delay before the long snapper can be engaged.
  21. Last night wasn't a perfect game, but it has me feeling it was the perfect win for the moment. A prime time victory on the road, Williams over Daniels, our D stopped their #1 ranked rushing attack, we ran the ball, came from behind, have the tie breaker and exercised the demons of the fail Mary. Great win!
