  1. Garrett wants traded. Who would blame him? He's 29 coming off a 14 sack season. Do we trade the #10 and a future pick? And go!
  2. Regardless of anything, we have to upgrade from Mr Biles.
  3. I'm not so sure about this. Swift was sent packing by the Lions, then the Eagles let him go to us. I was never a fan. Still not.

We don't need 4 first round picks to fix the OL. Elite OL prospects go in the first round, while solid starters go in rounds 2-4. If you live there, you win there. We have the QB on a rookie deal for the next few years. It's time to invest in the trenches. Thayer mentioned weights and conditioning. What does he know that hasn't come out? He's definitely an insider. Maybe the boys haven't put in the work.
  5. I read a post from Shefter saying he was the leading candidate.

That's a tough route to win. The percentage of the field goes to the defender. He was killing on inside routes, which a slot tends to run.
  7. I'm waiting on pins and needles and hoping he nails it...

I'm watching Kyle Williams out of Washington State. I'm not seeing him show up on the rankings, but he had good production. His release of the line is excellent. May be a decent pick up for the slot.

Jordan Mialata is 6'8 as well. If the hips dip and swivel, it's all good.

A couple of unheard-of names to look at. Gray Zabel and Hollin Pierce. Zabel was a tackle the senior bowl coaches moved inside and excelled at C and OG. Pierce is a monster at 6'8 with almost 37"arms.

This is a solid approach. Draft EDGE early and the IOL and DT's are deep to follow. If you have solid veterans and bring in studs to push them, it's the best of both worlds.

I was watching Walker today. In another thread, I mentioned he may this year's T'Vondre Sweat. Not close at all. He's terrible. Plays upright and slow as molasses. His stock is falling. However, there were four 3 techs that looked very promising. We'll have our chance at getting our fill of IOL and DT in this draft.
  13. It should have been Jim Harbaugh. And it absolutely could have been. I'll take a proven top five coach over Ben Johnson any day. I'm happy we ended up with Johnson, but he is far from a sure thing. Harbaugh was the sure thing and leadership didn't want him...
  14. Even though I would do a backflip, teams rarely, if ever, draft three OL. My guess is they'll sign and draft two each. After that, sign UDFA with crazy measurables.
  15. Our HC, GM and QB have been out of contract balance for how long? At least Jax is tied together with all three. Now, if Poles lasts three more years, we finally have the stability we have craved. As of now, we remain in the spin cycle until we prove otherwise.
  16. It's not any different than what he's witnessed here. Sometime you gotta shoot your shot and go get paid.

Big dude for me last year was T'Vondre Sweat. I called him, Big Sweat. Absolute freak at the combine. Deone Walker looks the same so far...
  18. Interesting. Both coaches are DB and passing game. Never saw this coaching duty combo before...
  19. That's actually a smart play. This is a guard rich draft. His longevity could rub off with better conditioning techniques. His experience would help the young guys and OL coach...
  20. This crap has to be demeaning to black people. This token shit has to stop. Hire the best, period. That's what makes everyone better.
