Not as impressive as I would have thought. He disengages far too quickly, too often. Whether or not this is by design I can't say - sometimes it obviously is - but it's not something I like. He seems to be looking for the next guy far too often, instead of dominating the first guy. I hope it's just their scheme. He also seems sort of slow laterally.

Rolle is injury prone, old, and in the way of some rookies with potential. His salary was just a cherry on top. I get what the FO is doing with the athletic, versatile safeties they're trying to get, but I wonder if it's a partial mistake. There is something to be said for the traditional slobber-knocker S who can destroy a RB in the hole or murder a WR going across the middle.

Am I surprised? Yes. Do I like it? Not really, because I think he was still pretty good. Am I upset? Nope. I can't believe anyone is, to be quite honest. If they can cut ties with a franchise workhorse RB with almost injury history, surely they can do the same to an FA OG with an injury. Looks like the OL is Leno-Whitehair-Grasu-Long-Massie now.

My hope is Leno-Slauson-Grasu-Long-Massie. That would mean Grasu got better and is not a wasted pick. Then when Slauson's contract is up, Whitehair squeezes in at LG.

The one good thing is, out of the three teams, green bay drafted the worst in my opinion. Lions: Decker, Robinson, Glasgow, Killebrew, Dahl, Antwoine Williams, Rudock, Zettel, Jeremy Landes, Washington Honestly, I love the Lions draft. They definitely solidified their OL, and did it with attitude. They got two probable defensive starters (Robinson / Killebrew), and two guys who could push for action (Williams / Zettel). Although, it's odd they passed on WR. Vikings: Treadwell, Alexander, Beavers, Brothers, Boehringer, Morgan, Weatherly, Kearse I like the Vikings draft, but not as much as ours or the Lions. Treadwell is going to be a nightmare. Period. Add in the potential of Boehringer and Morgan and the Lions may have some scary weapons soon. Meanwhile, Alexander should have gone in the first round in my opinion. He starts for them immediately. And I'm a huge fan of Kearse; he'll shock people and get some playing time. I think Beavers and Brothers have the potential to start for them as well.

I sure hope you're wrong and they don't plan on moving Long to LT. I really don't like that move. He's a potential HOF OG. They shouldn't mess with that. Also, this is the kind of scenario you end up with when drafting too heavily towards BPA. There are four guys (Long, Slausson, Grasu, Whitehair) who can start for three positions, and there is one guy (Leno) who can start at LT.

Oh, I noticed. In fact, I hoped he was being thought of as a LT. I said it after he was drafted. The video, however, is from someone in the Bears organization - scouting director? - and they said he is not playing OT. He's definitely playing OG or C. I don't feel great about a competition between Leno and an UDFA. Smells a little like Webb/Omiyale.

Guys I wish they'd grab: Vernon Adams, QB, Oregon - A QB who had intangibles. Leader. Kyle Friend, C, Temple - Three time team captain, weight room monster, bull in a china shop Eric Striker, LB, Oklahoma - Too much playmaking ability to go undrafted. Jeremy Cash, SS, Duke - Huge hitter, great in run support, drops bombs.

Just watched a video where they said Whitehair was definitely playing inside at OG. Maybe C. I'm not sure about this pick now. Is he a Slausson replacement? Is he a Grassu replacement? Doesn't matter the scenario, there is one problem remaining... No LT to push Leno. Leno may end up being the worst starting position player on the team this year, and that's not something you want in your LT.

HAHAHA! Correct. Braverman is shifty. I remember that game vs. OSU and I came away thinking, "Who the hell is this guy?" He juked OSU players all over the field.

ABSOLUTELY. The 7th round is where you take risks. That's a minimal risk and high reward pick. Better than a guy with 7th round skill who won't make the squad anyway.

NFL.com grades have been pretty damn consistent with the spot players are being drafted. It makes me feel good to think Pace is finding value. Other than the 4th round, the Bears are easily above the average. 6th round: DHC from W&M. Based on the talk of versatility, this one isn't a huge shock. Converted CB as a S.

You may be right in terms of trends, but Scooby is highly underrated. That guy was the best defensive player in ALL of college in 2014.

Jerrell Adams one pick before the Bears. That hurts if they were targeting TE.

If Bush is thought of as a FS, I wouldn't mind seeing one of the next picks used on a SS. Cash and Kearse are both still available. Either would be very nice.

I didn't even want a RB, and I'm cool with this pick. Great value, way later than he should have gone, and he's a good complement of power to the guys currently on staff.

Interesting how this draft is playing out. Do we even need another S or LB at this point?

Interesting. I mean, his youtube highlight is nicknamed "The Hitman". I view him more of a guy who can hit but has trouble in coverage at times.

Deon Bush - Solid S pick. Not my favorite, but it's a need. He's definitely not a FS, so he's the presumptive SS of the future.

Need is debatable I guess, because I don't think RB is a need. I don't really want to see a RB. The need a SS much more, still have a question at LT, still need a solid CB, and could use another rotational 5T DE.

That's a sound strategy in my opinion. Better than picking an OLineman in the 7th, starting him for years, and letting him kill your QB.

Like I said, he's targeting players specifically. I don't know where Nick Kwiatkoski was projected by the Bears - saw him from 4th to 7th in various mocks - but he's a guy I've liked for a while. He's a ball player. I don't know the Bears need an ILB since they just signed two, but I think he's a good player. Would rather have had Scooby though.
