    10 Wins

David Hagh has a good article (at least IMdO) ovr at the Trib: http://www.chicagotribune.com/sports/footb...,4206126.column I particularly liked what he said about Lovie: a good pre-game coach, but not a good in-game coach. And that Lovie has surrounded himself with "yes" men. Ten wins, though, will make him look alot better, given all the prognosticators at the start of the season that had us below the Lions!
  2. Agree. All we can do now is win out, and that is not going to be easy, as everyone is now jumping on the Texan's baandwagon. Then we have to hope the Queens do their part and lose out. Either way, win out and either make the playoffs or build for next season.
  3. Every time we give up a third and long situation I want to yell at Lovie to get a clue. And we finsih up this year at Houston, where they have one of, if not the, leading WRs in the league. It's great when our D puts other teams in third and long, but then so demoralizing when they convert. Yes, I am no fan of Lovies system.
  4. Smith is showing, more and more, that he is not a "think out of the box" head coach. He seems to stick to players when they have shown very little ability. And he is definitely NOT a teaching coach that knows how to develop talent. Finally, he's not a very good judge of caoching talent, tending more to surround himslef with "bus" rather than "studs". Starting to think the Super Bowl season was great INSPITE OF THE COACHES, not because of.
  5. 21-0 in the first quarter! How 'bout a little help Cards?
  6. Jerry Jones really fixed his team when he brought TO and Pacman on board. Now they are reaping it. If TO can't get on in Big D, he's probably only got Oakland left. No way would I want him on my team.
  7. Don't waste a post on him Bears4Ever. Christ himself could not turn Bears 88.
  8. Our coaching staff have played almost every guy on the D side of the ball. They know what everyone can, and cannot, do in game situations for the D. On the O side it seems as thought decisions were made in TC and that is that, come hell or high water. I think we all have been frustrated with the lack of any kind of attempt to check out different guys, WRs and some of the OLs. And with the total lack of production from the WRs, you'd think they's take a look see, now wouldn't ya?
  9. You know it! Let's just put the finishing touches on their dismal season by stomping them in the frozen ground of Soldier Field!
  10. I'll join the Dump Turner Club. You've got the lead, it's cold and you have Forte, AP and KJ. Why save the clock for the aints?
  11. This is probably why KJ was activated and played (and played well) on ST last night.
  12. Good call! So, Swami, what's your pick on the Puckers game?
  13. And t o think we dumped Bradley earlier this season. Davis has turned out to be a bad joke.
  14. Kyle is earning some $ this game! And Forte is showing he can play dinged.
  15. KJ on special teams?!! Filling in for Wolfe?
  16. Manning must have been jacked too! TD on the kickoff!
  17. And to think that some here have implied that you are no the sharpest knife in the drawer! Stay in, grab a toddy and watch it on the tube!
  18. I don't care how big your "optomistic stick" is, the way this D has played this year, Madlith is right to be disappointed and not expectant. They were supposed to be the heart of the team, and they have not produced.
  19. I hear ya jason. But then agian, in this wacky league, the playoffs mean that you at least have a shot.
  20. Every game now is a must win. Bears 27 - Saints 17. Gould gets tow FGs and Forte puts on another fine show. Orton plays for the money, getting the ball to Hester, Olsen and Clark.
  21. Bingo!! Now, if the coaches can get their heads out of their butts we've got a good shot. Then again, that is one hell of a big IF!
  22. Cooler heads will prevail. After calling for Boldin yesterday, and thinking about all the other holes we've got, I just don't think Boldin is cost productive for us. And you know that JA will not give up the house for him. So, let's solidify the O and D lines first. That's my dO.
  23. Couldn't agree more. If Lovie & Co. ever thought he was going to be a no. 1 or 2 WR, they are no judges of talent.
  24. Three points is better than a TD for the Jags on the next play, ala Minny. But It really sticks in my craw that we can't punch it in when we get down to the 5 yrd line. No push from the Oline in these short situations.
