  1. What's frustrating for me is that it seems that Lovie's laid-back, passionless attitude has turned up in the players on the field. Especially the O. I only watched the first half last night--yeah, I know, but it was around 12:30 when I went to sleep--and the O, and Lovie were just sleep walking. And Lovie looked like he had no clue what to do. And forget about his Defensive accumen--how many third and longs did the Puckers make? FRUSTRATING!!! BUt, they won!!!!! That's good. But I hope someone puts some uppers in Lovie's cheerios if we make the playoffs.
  2. To paraphrase Forrest Gump, evil is as evil does! what if it rains the day after Christmas?!!
  3. Hey, come on down, and bring the family!! I will say that it is tought to get into the Christmas spirit with weather like this. But then again, it saves $ on Xmas gifts!!
  4. Bundle up! And run out on the field with a big Bearstalk sing so I can see you since it will be telvised here! Like bowlingtwig, I'm a puss when it comes to cold weather. It is about 85ยบ here and I'm going to the pool! So you guys have a blast and try to stay warm!
  5. I agree Pix. I think Atlanta will be ready to play and the Giants will be looking for momentum for the playoffs. Now the brain fart element worries me. All boils down to win these final two games of the season and see how it plays out.

Good point Mongo3451. If we don't get some youger, but capable players for the OL, WR and D (See Mike Brown, Urlacher and Hilly)we are going to be on the way down. It's too bad, when Lovie first arrived I felt he'd be a developer of talent and a teacher. He is not, and we are not bringing in FA that can fill the voids that are emerging.
  7. I gotta agree with Nfo that Loyd will be gone. He'll get an offer some antoher team and move on. And I don't doubt that he has grated on the coaching staff to the point they don't want him.

Think you're right. Except for the Puckers' and Queens' games, it seemes like we came to play this season. But Lovie has to shulder the blaim if we don't make the playoffs. Though I can see everyone, outside of this board, saying Lovie did a fine job considering the outlook at the start of the season.

David Hagh has a good article (at least IMdO) ovr at the Trib: http://www.chicagotribune.com/sports/footb...,4206126.column I particularly liked what he said about Lovie: a good pre-game coach, but not a good in-game coach. And that Lovie has surrounded himself with "yes" men. Ten wins, though, will make him look alot better, given all the prognosticators at the start of the season that had us below the Lions!
  10. Agree. All we can do now is win out, and that is not going to be easy, as everyone is now jumping on the Texan's baandwagon. Then we have to hope the Queens do their part and lose out. Either way, win out and either make the playoffs or build for next season.
  11. Every time we give up a third and long situation I want to yell at Lovie to get a clue. And we finsih up this year at Houston, where they have one of, if not the, leading WRs in the league. It's great when our D puts other teams in third and long, but then so demoralizing when they convert. Yes, I am no fan of Lovies system.
  12. Smith is showing, more and more, that he is not a "think out of the box" head coach. He seems to stick to players when they have shown very little ability. And he is definitely NOT a teaching coach that knows how to develop talent. Finally, he's not a very good judge of caoching talent, tending more to surround himslef with "bus" rather than "studs". Starting to think the Super Bowl season was great INSPITE OF THE COACHES, not because of.
  13. 21-0 in the first quarter! How 'bout a little help Cards?
  14. Jerry Jones really fixed his team when he brought TO and Pacman on board. Now they are reaping it. If TO can't get on in Big D, he's probably only got Oakland left. No way would I want him on my team.
  15. Don't waste a post on him Bears4Ever. Christ himself could not turn Bears 88.
  16. Our coaching staff have played almost every guy on the D side of the ball. They know what everyone can, and cannot, do in game situations for the D. On the O side it seems as thought decisions were made in TC and that is that, come hell or high water. I think we all have been frustrated with the lack of any kind of attempt to check out different guys, WRs and some of the OLs. And with the total lack of production from the WRs, you'd think they's take a look see, now wouldn't ya?
  17. You know it! Let's just put the finishing touches on their dismal season by stomping them in the frozen ground of Soldier Field!
  18. I'll join the Dump Turner Club. You've got the lead, it's cold and you have Forte, AP and KJ. Why save the clock for the aints?
  19. This is probably why KJ was activated and played (and played well) on ST last night.
  20. Good call! So, Swami, what's your pick on the Puckers game?
  21. And t o think we dumped Bradley earlier this season. Davis has turned out to be a bad joke.
  22. Kyle is earning some $ this game! And Forte is showing he can play dinged.
  23. KJ on special teams?!! Filling in for Wolfe?
