  1. Nothing new there. Every time I watched the Bears on TV, Lovie WAS a Zombie. I sure hope that Marinelli is a hands-on guy. We sure need one!
  2. From what we've seen from our staff in "developing" young talent, I beleive you are dreaming Pix. Though I agree, if Kyle can stay healthy.
  3. Yes, great read. Agree with most, except I just don't think Hanie is ready to be our no. 2 QB. So we need a competent backup for Kyle.
  4. It definitely will make things a bit easier for Url, Lance and Roach, as well as the DBs. And yes, glad he pick Lovie's squad.
  5. Come on Bobby! Let me remeber you for throwing a TD with a broken wrist, not calling for Tebow in a Bears uni! No way!!
  6. Lovie IS Tampa 2, so you just forget ever changing the scheme as long as Lovie is the coach. And yeah, Marinelli and his son-in-law had a crap D in Detroit. What's new? Detroit would only get better if GOD himself werethe coach, and then it would take a lifetime to get them up to speed. So I'm in favor of bringing in Marinelli-he did a great job at Tampa with the DL. We've got the pieces to have a great DL (need another DE, though) and Marinellli can get it on track, IMdO. So count me in favor of bringing him in. Look, if we don't get him, who, then, are you suggesting we get?
  7. That means you're okay with Hanie being the no. 2? I like Hanie, but I don't think he's ready for the big time just yet. And I'm not sure who we should bring in as the no. 2, but we do need, IMdO, a guy at no.2 that can be serviceable.

    Hass gone

Man, talk about motivation to play. If Hass gets on the field against us he's going to be motivated out the wazoo! Too bad our "teaching" staff hasn't made any attempt to develop the younger WRs.
  9. I'm still ano (I think I was back then, too). The guy is a fumble machine. He had a good year, but our OL will leave him wide open and the ball on the turf all season long.
  10. What's the law, you know, like Murphy's, that says you get promoted to the point of your incompetency? Perhaps that is Marinelli's case. Hey, Tampa certainly did not have DL problems when he was the coach there. And he did go directly from DL coach to head coach. I don't have a problem with him coming in. His son-in-law, though, is another matter. This strikes me as a deal that reunites the old boys from the Bucs and Marinelli agrees 'cause his son-in-law gets to stay close and is employed. That I don't like.

  12. He can run, but he can't pass. And yea, I'm a dong owner and lover, and I definitely will not be inviting Vick over to the house when he gets out. Serving time when you are caught doing something does not mean you have changed your mind about what got you in trouble in the first place. No to Vick, not that I think there is any real substance behind this gibberish. Just some journalist wanting to get a story in the paper, IMdO.
  13. Found that to be damning for Lovie also. So many in, and no one can get the job done? Hmmm. Seems good evidence that Lovie has no clue.
  14. Get ready to puke, along with most of the board. If they havn't pulled the trigger yet, they probably aren't. They are hoping to land Marinelli and get the DLine in order and let Babich have another shot. Not what I want.
  15. Back at ya! It was alot of fun. I'll be in Tampa for the Super Bowl--but not to attend, but visit my mom and Siter who ives there. I hope to take in some of the free festivities, if those exist! And I'll wear my Bears' stuff just to show I'm a fan of the greatest team. I look forward to beating you next season, if Pix will again make the sacrifice!!!
  16. I'd love to see Brown retained as a DB coach. Normally, though, newbies do it on a volunteer basis, see Rivera. But still, he's got the knowledge for it.
  17. Looking at the numbers, and our depth at Dback, they will keep him. Probably as a nickle back, unless he shows that this year was off due to the injury.
  18. Just read that with some interest. And Babich, Turner and Marinelli have the same agent. So how does Babich see all this? Keep him ad DC and make Marinelli Dline coach/assistant head coach? Just dump Babich, please.
  19. Yep! But you know that Babich is going to be made the scapegoat and Lovie, once agian, dodges responsibility. I don't trust him either.
  20. Agree. Favre is a sorry-a$$, self-centered butthole. The Jets got just what they deserved with him. Good for TJ! There, I have ranted and feel better!
  21. Agree with you on this Jason. I got to watch the game (only the Rose Bowl and the championship college games are shown here). It was a big time hit, and he did lead with his helmet. And yes, all the sissy penalties have made a violent game into a near-flag football sport. I agree with protecting players, but this is FOOTBALL. Violence is part of it and players are now worried about protecting their wallets and owners want to favor big time Offensive games, so these rules have dilluted the game, IMdO.
  22. Ah men to that! Url is being eaten alive because the DL is not geting the job done and our DBs acts like they want to leave the stadium when the ball is snapped.
  23. That should pretty much be the mantra for the off -season: "Everything starts in the trenches. We need OL and DL help." Repeat: "Everything starts in the trenches. We need OL and DL help."
  24. Fix the OL. It all starts in the trenches. And I'd expect Marinelli, when Lovie gets him, will bring some umph to the D line. Keep grooming Beekman to take over for Kreutz, keep St. Clair to push Beekman at LG, get a solid sub for Tait and get us a RG that can bulldoze for Forte.
  25. No to Mike Martz. He won't get it done here.
