  1. I agree. Bring in experinced OL and then grab BPA on draft day.
  2. Crabtree is not getting out of the top 10. Supposedly he played all last season with the stress fracture and it is relatively simple to repair. Smith probably will be there at 18, but I can't see JA getting him. I wouldn't be surprised to see him fall to no. 32 or to the second round.
  3. I don't have any problem with the offer. St. Clair was adequate last season when Williams went down. He has been healthy, versatile and he knows the system. I do thin he'll test the market on Friday, but I'm hopefull that he signs with us. Then, if we could get Barnes we'd be in good shape at T and could draft a G to develop.
  4. I'd go for that as well. Trade up and grab a top OT or WR. But I think there's a snowball's chance. . . for that happening.
  5. Solid arguement MLWBear. I think Barnes should b on JA's radar.
  6. Oher--we gotta get the OL in working order and, hopefully, for years to come.
  7. I'm all for picking up one of the released RBs, with Taylor being my preference right now. Keep AP on STs and get wolfe more involved. Use the FA RB in case something happens to Forte. And I'd also focus on OT for our no. 1 pick. I just don't trust Sanchez to have enough experience yet to be an NFL QB.
  8. Hey, as defiantgiant pointed out, JA did this with Keven Jones, so why not Taylor, unles Jones is going to be retained, and USED.
  9. Oh, and I'm not adverse to using the first two picks on OL, if solid players are present when we're on the clock.
  10. Agree totally. Fix the OL, then we can worry about the rest. Without a solid OL we are going to struggle every game.
  11. Gotta agree. Hate to see him go, but then again, he may well be brought back later. Given his injury history, I doubt many teams out there are going to offer him a deal.
  12. Woa, Pix! Thinking outside the box, aren't you? I love the idea, but don't see JA even approaching the outer limits of "the box". I think Hanie has shown he has the moxie to be a no. 2, and we really won't know until they actually try him. But, I'm not gonna hold my breath on Lovie or JA going for it.
  13. Oh yeah. St. Clair now is in the driver's seat. I say sign him, he's got experience, can play T or G and he knows and works well with the other guys on the line. And I guess that Tait just realized it was time to go. I wish hm luck.
  14. PFT reports that the Bears have released Marty Booker. Not a big surprise. Now we need to bring in some WRs. DUH!
  15. Exactly. Now JA doesn't have to throw away a late round draft pick for camp fodder at QB. He can waste it on another position!
  16. I thik you're right on this one.Wale has one more year to serve us, while JA is praying tha Marinelli can light a fire under Anderson to eventually take over the spot.
  17. Agree. More catches also means we might have better field position for the RBs to punch it in the endzone from a few yards out.
  18. As a Bear fan, I can agree 100% with all that you say nfo. "Hope for the best, Expect the worst". To be positive, it did happen when they brought in Ditka and Ryan. This season I am expecting a return of the D to some measure of dictating the game. If not, Lovie is gone for sure. And oh how I wish for an upgraded Oline and at least one quality WR brought in. Now is that too much to ask for?
  19. You know it! From now till TC that's all we are going to get from him.
  20. Read the article and I agree that it could mean we will add a big gun on D, and, if so, the DL would be the most likely spot. And peppers would be my first choice. But I think we've already got big $ tied up on the D side, so I'd look for JA to spend more on the O side--OL and WR are on my wish list, as almost all of us here agree.
  21. Sounds great to me. Let's get Harris earning his $ this season!
  22. I like http://www.hailredskins.com/MockDraft.htm They give you a plethora of links to other draft sites.
  23. And he gets to be on a team that will once again be ranked one of, if not the best. Oh, and he gets one more year of being one of the Gods in warm, sunny Southern Cal!
  24. Well said, Pix, and I do share your optimism. Afterall, I am a Bears fan! I just hope Lovie is not saying this now as a result of the comments coming out that he's not a hands-on guy. But, of course, I'll be rootin' for the Blue and Orange forever!
  25. I don't think he'd beat out Kyle, but I would be in favor of adding him. He's got experience and yeah, maybe he has learned something from being so close to out of the game.
