This would go with what Robbie Gould said about Cutler. End of story, Trestman is in waaaay over his head. Emery tried to get cute. It didn't work
-
Agreed. Phillips doesnt need to be fired just football operations responsibilities need to be taken away. I would think a new director of football operations would want his own GM in place. I really hope George makes the changes needed!!!!

Right there with you.... Can't wait for Monday..... All I want for xmas Is a new ceo/GM/ coaching staff......is that too much to ask???
-
First good news I've heard about the Bears in a long time.
-
There are drives were is he perfect, then whole games were he sucks. My big problem with him is the when he's good he is real good and when he is bad he is real bad. Like Romo I think if you take pressure off of him you can win with him. It will take : A well coached team Offense, run first not pass first , create short 3rd down not long 3rd downs. Cut down on stupid penalties creating long 1st and 2nds and 3rds, better scheme and play calling. Sp Teams= better field position Defense= not always playing from behind would eliminate Cutker from always pushing too hard Cutler has proved that he is not an Aaron Rodgers type QB but I believe you can get him to be more consistent like Romo is this year by doing exactly what Dallas did. Build the oline up, provide better run blocking, better pass protection and better play calling and Cutler will play well enough to win a bunch of games. Right now the Bears are poorly coached on all 3 phases of the game. His offense is predictable and undisciplined, the online sucks.there are many problems, it's not just jay cutler.

Can you admit you have seen Cutler play well?? Have a great game?
-
I laughed when he said is was an accident. The tape shows he was trying to hurt him. What an asshole.

Later on the score had a beat reporter on(not sure which one), he confirmed what Robbie said and added that very early on there was grumbling coming from the players about Trestman. He pretty much blasted Trestman and said we will be hearing a lot more once the season is over. To sum it up, Trestman is the big reason for the failures this year. With poor leadership, poor coaching, poor play call, poor everything.

Austin has only been a DC in the NFL for one season. He has a talented group to coach as well. His Defense didn't really impress me against the Bears this past weekend. If the Bears were to hire a DC or OC I would want this guy to have more than one year of being a DC or OC. I would rather have a former HC before this guy. At least Arians had a year of HC experience with INDY, not sure about the rest of his experience looks like.

Chances of us winning just went up. Cutler is back in

You don't need Cutler to inspire or lead anyone to win games. You need him to not throw INT's. No one of us know what type of teammate Cutler is or what type of leader he is. All we see is his body language on game day. There is more than that that goes into being a leader. I get that he is paid to be a franchise QB, the fact is the Bears made a mistake with paying him this type of contract. All Im talking about is that I think you could win with Cutler in the right situation. Things that need to be in place: 1. well coached team= the bears are clearly not well coached. 2. Run first based offense= creating 3rd and short instead of constantly being in 3rd and long 3. by being in 3rd and short it will take Pressure OFF Cutler, may not force stupid throws 4. decent SP teams and Defense, creating better field position and taking more pressure off Cutler. 5. Good Oline to give Cutler time to throw the ball, we all have seen that Cutler does poorly when pressured. Well most QB's don't do well when pressured, see Andrew Luck yesterday. The less Cutler feels he has not do the less pressure would hopefully help Cutler not push or take stupid chances. The Cowboys took pressure off Romo and they are winning But you are right, he is going to be 32, the Bears need to start looking for his replacement even if he plays here beyond this season.

Congrats on making it into the championship......I just made it into both of my leagues Championships!!! Please sweet baby Jesus bring us a Bear loss next sunday against the Vikings...... Talladega Night reference....lol If you're not first your last!!!

I guess Youngs injury may not need a full year to recover....May not be as bad as I thought
-
I am about in the same boat with Cutler.....which I had hoped would not be the case......... If you get rid of Cutler it will be a total rebuild, part of me thinks with a well coached team you could win with Cutler. Look at Dallas......they haven't been able to win with Romo.....Romo is a good QB but always came up short....This year they run the ball, take pressure off of Romo and they are winning. Romo is not a Rodger/Brady/Manning type of QB but he is a good QB......If you take the pressure off Cutler you could put him in position to win. Dallas built their line up the last 3 years. Now they run the ball at will and give Romo tons of time to sit in the pocket. Garrett was on the chopping block before this year. Now he will be signing a contract extension. The fastest way for the Bears to be in the playoffs would be to try to fix this with Cutler. Starting over without Cutler will take a few years.

If you guys can listen to it online I would...... Robbie pretty much called Trestman out with everything he said about Cutler and the Bear way........
-
Jay Cutler should not be the scapegoat, not jays fault, he should be starting. Gould hopes Cutler is back next year to lead this team. Also said this year is not the Bear way, being a Bear for 10 years this year is not the way Lovie had taught them concerning things getting out of the locker room people throwing others under the bus...etc.... Some points I thought you guys may have been interested to hear

http://www.cbssports.com/nfl/writer/jason-...-coaching-staff 1. Lot of the Cutler stuff is stuff we already know 2. Shanny- keeps a close relationship with Cutler and its says would be interested in coaching Cutler again. 3. Emery has told his staff he may retain his job 4. Harbaugh may be too expensive for the Bears and the control on final say on roster moves would have to shift for Harbaugh to come. Does with have to do with Phillips?????
-
NOt sure how I would feel about this DC being our HC......Not saying it would be a bad idea. Shanny........Hoodie Bill hit a grand slam on his 2nd HC job. Holmgren won a SB with GB and got to another one in SEA.....it can be done. Shanny has seen what works Denver and what didn't work in WAS. From some of the articles I read Synder stuck his nose in a little too much which caused a lot of problems. Most likely were his comments about coming back to coach, it would have to be the right situation and be a contender.
-
agreed 100% Chicago has a lot of MEATBALL fans. Clausen is a great backup to have.
-
Dude, please stop.........You were right about Cutler. He is not a franchise QB. You don't need to talk Clausen up to make your Cutler argument sound better. Clausen looked good for the first time starting today. You have NO clue on what plays were called with Cutler and what plays were changed by Cutler. Trestman is the only one to blame for never running the ball. He said it every week, didn't do it until this past week. Even if Cutler changed a run play to a pass play, Trestman is the HC, he should have went to Cutler on the sidelines and said do not change any plays, we are going to run the ball. Trestman chose to not run the ball all year. There is no arugment against it. You can blame Cutler on the turnovers he created, but you cant blame Cutler for play calls week in and week out.

This sucks big time. Not only Lamar Houston but now Young....Two of the pieces that were added this season probably will not be ready for the start of next season. Houston, maybe will be able to play at the start but probably wont be 100%.

I've never wanted the Bears to lose so bad. Lol
