What encourges me is BJ always played well against the Viking D. He scored 31 points in both games against that defense last year. In 2023 scored 30 points each game. 24 and 34 his first year as the OC in 2022.

Im not sure until we see preseason games they actually will hear who is the leading canadate to start at LT, they are dividing the first team reps. With Kiran hurt, Im sure it takes him out of that competition.

One of the beat writers said that the rookies were intentional listed out of starters roles to create position competion. Loveland was the only listed starter because Kmet was hurt. I seen a CHGO post that said Cole's injury was not serious and avoided a long term injury. Has anyone seen anything about that?

The most physical day of practice all year. On a downer note, Kmet left with an injury and he was visable upset, so it may not be minor. 4 fights broke out and Brad Briggs said this is the most physical practice he has seen since Lovie took over as coach.

Just seen where Jordan Addison just pleaed No contest to a DUI charge and is suspected he gets a 3 game suspension to start the season which makes him not available for our first game. I would have to say that helps our cause to have a win.

My two favorite ex Bears personalities are Dave and Olin. Respect their opinions. As much as its a roller coaster ride in the preseason, I think BJ will pull back and does game plans according to what Caleb's strengths are and slowly expand that as the season progresses.

I think the next few weeks where we practice with other teams will show our progression or how much we are lacking. Its a work in progress and BJ expected this at this time but he is pissed on the pre snap penalites which should be gone by now.

If you want to look smart you need to show more consistency. I bring up cap space and salaries, you say they dont matter. Early this summer you were pushing we should trade Cole Kmet because he is getting paid to much and we could use the cap space. Braxton, Edumunds, same thing. It either matters or it dont. It would have been simpler to just agree, it's not going to happen but that's not good enough for you, you write your little 500 word essays on why you think it's a good idea. Okay explain it to me how his 24 mil salary fits our cap space of 13 mil we have this yr? Teams normally keep 8 to 10 mil for operating cost over the season. 41+mil; next year puts our cap underwater for 50 mil. So now we have to start cutting assets to make room for a high end pass rusher. Kmet, Edmunds and Swift only gives us 30 mil. Plus we need to add the draft budget and operation capital for next yr. So at this point we are still 35 mil in the hole. You got me on that one, the contract and Cap doesnt matter. Dayo is on the team and has guarranteed money, I never said we shouldnt trade for him because we have Dayo, you are back to putting words in my mouth again. Just like anyone elses opinion, IMO, I dont see any chance of it happening. If I feel strongly about something, I am now suppose to use certain words?
