Last year we had the least dead cap space in the league by a big margin. Say what you want about Poles but he has did a good job and managing the cap so far. People got paid and after a yr or two, those contracts look team friendly in comparison to contracts handed out currently. JJ may end up being a problem with a I want to pay more but it wont happen this yr. His contract ends in 2027.

Adam is there a way to switch the MY TEAM SUCKS team to Mike Gretsy at ranordoorguy@gmail.com. I put both under my name 2 yrs ago when he was in that motorcycle accident and was in the hospital. Then paid for it and got it back from him. I tried to switch to his email as a preference and it also changes my team email preference. We are listed as co managers on his team. It would be a lot easier if these were just separate instead of a co manager situation on team SUCK.

Poles has already set the core players up with the contracts he gave out. We don't have a lot of cap space for two years. Our improvement will be from players they drafted and roster players improving. We will get to see first hand if his roster development are winners. If we have a winning season, probably would say he did a good job. If not we now have a great coaching staff to get player development and it will take another year to fix. These are my opinions, I don't pretend to know what Poles and BJ think. The fact I need to say this every time I post now seems condescending to the members of this forum but we do what we need to do to try to get along.

I don't agree with every point they make but a lot of them.

I am happy to have helped you expand your vocabulary . Talk about whatever you want but now I am not allowed to have an opinion. I wish you were in a BJ press conference so you could ask the coach about (if Burden plays well, if you would want to trade DJ Moore?) Does anyone want to suggest what BJs answer would be to that question? This is a football discussion forum and I disagreed with you so you want to talk about how I form sentences and what proper words to use. Normal fans just disagree and state their point but not you . You always want to get personal instead of just leave it to football. Mongo could not have said any more relevant words( that fools want to argue) of which applies to both of us instead of just trying to get along. Maybe one day you will just try to stay on football subjects and get off your personal attacks.

We are on the verge of having something real good here and people want to talk about getting rid of people. Let the season play out and it will be clear at the end of the year what is next.

I seen on X that we are trying out Isaiah Foskey/DE that played for the Saints last year was a second round pick but hasnt did anything in the NFL.

Butthurt is not name calling it is what happening when someone whines about something. "butthurt" an excessive or unjustifiable feeling of personal offense or resentment.

Swift is not a top 10 RB type in the league but last time he played for BJ, he had 99-542-5 and 48 rec-389-3. I also think we are discounting any effect Eric Bieniemy may have had in the RB room. I think Swift will be just fine for our run game. The key to the game will be the game calling of BJ vs the DC . BJ has did well against Brian Flores.

I didnt bother reading your post after the jerk statement. It's actually very simply, neither you nor me have any personal contacts in the Bears organization so when we say something, its ALWAYS an opinion. I have been posting on here since 2009 and up until you started the ( I dont like the way you say something), I never really had anyone question the way I say things. Mongo did once but he doesnt bring it up every time I give an opinion. Once someone told me "some people play checkers and some people play chess". I now understand what he meant.

You voiced your opinion and I voiced mine but of course your butt hurts because of the way I word statements. You just never stop. By suggesting that we trade DJ or before you said Kmet, you appear to be in BJs head with those statements. Poles is the GM but clearly BJ influenced the draft by the Loveland and Burden picks. Do you think his idea was lets draft these players so we can get rid of assets? He wants more weapons and has mentioned that in several interviews. Offensive minded coaches aren't even thinking about getting rid of weapons in his first year. The way Poles handed out contracts , everything is coming due when its time Caleb needs a contract. As far as future roster building , I think its thru the draft and cheap FA pickups. When you want to trade for huge contracts, you would have to dump assets, and they arent doing that . (IMO) You are going to say next year is different but this year is not a SB run, next year could be and no one is going to do that by dumping assets. You are assuming LT and pass rusher are a problem and you may be right, but they are going to let it play out and go from there. Neither of us know what will happen next year but we both have opinions.
-
Burden will eventual replace BJ but it wont be this year and if he plays well next year either. BJ isnt ready to dumb assets when he is trying to get this offense up and running. 2027 is a different story,. You acquire all these assets and then start dumbing them right away? Offensive coaches want weapons that's why we drafted Luther and Loveland.

Anyone ever listen to Steve Rosenbloom on the SCORE on Saturdays usually but on today. Im an optimist and it is the opposite of positive in the name of being realistic. I get critizms with a lot of things up in the air but there has been lots of positive moves this year and arrow is pointed up. I can only stomach him for 5 minutes and today his was talking about Bagent should start over Caleb because he performed so well in the preseason. He's a total debag.

Bearswire had a story showing what national press picked for our record this year. Adam Rank who works for ESPN or NFL.net picked 11-6 and some other guy pick 10-7 and the rest picked 7-10, 7-10, 7-10, 7-10, 8-9, 8-9 . The national guys always blow us off.

I dont remember ESPN ever viewing the Bears in a favorable light.

I definitely think he could still play LT and think it was more of a mental rep to play him at RT where he is more comfortable to boost his confidence. Usually stories are developed a week before they post them. I think it is pretty current in a time frame. BJ is very demanding and why all of this is still up in the air.

This video has a little different take on the Parsons trade. He talks about roster cost and the results of paying big contracts and how it affects teams winning SBs. Its 26 minutes long but has a very interesting take on the trade.

Caleb is obvious to having the keys to the car but from the progress I have seen with working with BJ , his floor , to me , has raised quite a bit. We base so much on his rookie year with a lousy coaching system and lack of accountability. He got in to bad habits. He's got a big arm, smart, moves well. He works hard and appears to love the game. Has all the signs of a top 5 type QB. Goff was a good QB but performed top level under BJ. He picked the Bears because of Caleb and I trust his judgement. This is just the beginning, it gets much better and have very few doubts it blows up. We are Bear fans and has a poor team trust on doing the right decisions. This year is different. As far as having a LT , of course we dont know yet but have 3 options after the mediocre Braxton is done here. A rookie, 2nd year player, and rising UDFA. It would be easier if we just drafted a top 10 LT but that is no guarantee for success either and didnt do that. Eagles won the SB last year with a 7th round pick at LT. I think we have a coaching staff now that can develop prospects but that isnt going to be instant mash potatoes. We need to let this play out. Pass rush questions? The Eagles won a SB last year with no stud pass rushers. What they had was several average ones that the DC used to be successful. 8 sacks Was the most anyone had. We have a new DC in Dennis Allen who has a reputation of being aggressive. I think the coaches will raise the level of success. Sweat had a good first year with 12.5 sacks, last year he had a bunch of nagging injuries and only had 5.5 sacks. Which one will we get this year? That will be the key to our pass rushing wows but I trust DA to use him wisely.
