  1. We have to rev up our offense and run the hell out of the ball to control the clock because our defense will be hurting with 3rd string LBers in there. its not going to be pretty but we still can win the game. I say 30 to 23 and of course we win.
  2. I always got the animosity towards me, after he went to name calling I pushed back but he seems to attack members for no reason at all but just to be an asshole. Your point was correct and he always twisted things I said to butt heads with me. I always tried to reason with him on our discussion but he always took it to fight mode. I always felt bad because 95% on here are always reasonable and still can have disagreements. He calls you out for no reason at all, I think he likes conflict and pushes conversations to that point. Mongo can be stirred up but he always goes back to reasonable conversation. It just comes down to name calling and he always went there first with me and then I got involved in calling him out in the same manner. I dont see his responses and he still pulls me into stuff and Im not even part of the conversation. He did commit 80% of the conflict and I am sorry I went there because you guys dont deserve the chaos it created.Β Β

      Pixote

Thanks. No apology needed. BTW, I banned him for a weekβ€”just a shot over the bow. Let's see what he does when he returns. I can and will increase the ban if needed.

  3. I see both Edmunds and Sewell are both DNP designated. If they dont play, third stringers up next? Take Pitt RBs this week in fantasy football.
  4. I think JJ is pressing this to come back. Reasonable people will probably say wait another week, but he is so focused on what he wants, he may push his way back on the field sooner. His grit and dedication made him an ALL PRO, give him what he wants.
  5. He must be giving you a hard time for any support you may have given me. It's okay , you can never have a discussion with that type of person. I'm not seeing anything he says anyways, so it just doesnt matter. . Let him say what ever he wants. 6. I dont see PHX posts anymore but by your post he is still whipping on me. He always took a comment I would make and twist it to be able to jump on me. He praised , look at tape as the guiding light ,and I just bring up Caleb's lack of accuracy and now I am labeled a Caleb hater Im sure. Read my posts and dont let his opinion create a Caleb narrative that doesnt exist. Thanks for reminding PHX that attacking someone for a different opinion does not deserve name calling but of course he cant change who he is. As I said before I dont get to see his posts so he gets to expose himself without my normal stimulation.
  7. I also dont see Kmet going anywhere. This is BJs first year of building an offensive power and getting rid of offensive assets doesnt make sense to me. They will concentrate on the draft to fix our weaknesses. As much as Theo needs to grow quite a bit, I see him as the LT starter next yr. We still have Trapillo and Kiran for prospects to potential get better to ascend to give him competition. Like you said, by getting rid of an asset , you create another spot you need to replace in the draft. Burden will find more time once Zaccheaus is gone. I do see then asking DJ to redo his contract to create more money. Swift is one player, they could get some Cap relief with if traded or cut but there again they could ask him to redo his contract. We would save 7.5 mil if we let him go but then again we would have to replace him. They could decide to go with Monangai as the lead back and add a Swift type RB in the mid rounds to take his place. As much as people talked about getting a big trade in this season, example Hendrickson, they said to find money, they would restructure contracts to fit in our Cap. I think to find more money, they will go to players like Kmet and Edmunds and redo contracts to add more Cap space. They are the only two players that dont have a lot of money that would not create dead money on the books. This team is changing over from a good defensive team to an offensive power house and they are not to add big contracts to the defense as far as free agents. For better or for worst, we are stuck one more year with Jarrett, Dayo, Sweat. They will site injuries that hurt our defense. JJ, Dayo, Shemar Turner, Kyle Gordon, Terrell Smith, and expect them to be better. Also growth in young players example Booker for the defense to get better. I havent looked at draft stuff yet but this is a mock draft that I think will be similar to what we do with several trade backs to get more picks. 45. A.J. Haulcy S LSU 56. Anthony Smith EDGE Minnesota 66. A'Mauri Washington DT Oregon 91. Jadarian Price RB Notre Dame 123. Jalon Kilgore S South Carolina 129. Austin Barber OT Florida 167. Zion Young EDGE Missouri 181. Arion Carter LB Tennessee 241. Ricardo Hallman CB Wisconsin 245. Ernest Hausmann LB Michigan They will draft a pass rusher, S, and fill our needs on defense with people like G-Johnson and expect players to improve. Brisker and Byard have finished their contracts so I think G-Johnson and resign Byard to be our safeties next yr. Brisker will be offered a team friendly deal, but his concussion history will be considered. The FA part of our off season will not have any big signings. Draft is the key to our team improving.
  8. Its not the end of the season have to win game but it would show the team is making progress.
  9. I see what everyone else sees and I am not the glass half empty guy on here. He has some great traits but I am disappointed he is not getting the simple passes down yet. Below 60% is not a good look to me. I have never said we should bail on him, or am I a Caleb hater. I asked a question about if he still hasnt progressed a yr from now, what does that do for BJ's confidence in him ? I guess now its okay to be the blind homey. I have been many times accused of being a clueless homer and wearing binders when I look at players on the team. I am not going to pretend he's great until he actual shows more consistency.
  10. Everything that wasnt working seems to be working now. It was a Cloudflare problem which a lot of the internet sites must use. These routes would seem to be open every time to me. We have had more TE involvement over the last few games. Need to do more.
  11. Im all in on Caleb as being hopeful for the progression of all players on the team. The question I am asking is ; if Caleb is throwing below 60% next year at this time, and making the same mistakes, (holding the ball to long) overthrowing WRs) at what point will BJ consider another QB? This is Caleb's first year with BJ and this offense, Im not expecting a top 5 QB this year but if we dont see progress? Example is Tevor Lawrence, a fist player taken and he definitely did not deserve a 275 mil extension? Of course one year from now that will depend on if we are winning . If we are still winning besides Caleb's mediocre play, he will stick with him but for how long? My history was I was all in on Justin and hoped he would get better, he didnt and should have accepted that sooner, and now that a ask the same question about Caleb, that's the wrong comment to make? It will be his 3rd year. I have seen many pundits question Caleb's body language at the end of the game when he seemed upset that BJ did not rely on him to win the game for us when he ran the ball 3 times and kicked the FG? If that is true, will that be a problem going forward?
  12. I agree with most of your points. I think with going for it on 4th down, you should never do it beyond the 50 yard line unless your behind and time is running out. Its situational and depending on who your playing when in the red zone. We are starting to identify as a power running team as our OL plays better so once we can get a signature short yardage play, I would understand it more but we havent established one yet. I think losing LaPorta will have a large effect on their offense and the center position has already shown problems. Playing the Eagles is an outlier. Decker and Sewell both had some injuries' issures going into that game .
  13. I remember after the first two games on X people were saying Byard was slowing down and people complaining about his play and our S choices in him and Brisker coming off an injury. Then brought up how we should have drafted one high. People just have to let the season play out when judging players. You cant go by one or two games. Poles will make him an offer after the season and why would he not want to stay on a up and coming team and play for DA. At 31 I dont see anyone offering a big contact to him.
  14. Playing Pitt will be a physical game and will take advantage of mistakes much like we do. They have been Minny-NE-Colts which arent considered bad teams. Only two teams have went over 120 rushing against them this year. Their defense is much like ours, bad stats and make big plays. Offensively they (if Rundolph) will be throwing a lot to RBs and their TEs. All under stuff like we seen against Minny. We need a better game from Caleb and we will be in the drivers seat.
  15. I predict right now, every game is going to be close and we have not seen the last of the late game win scenario.
  16. I think you are speaking to his need to be the hero, ego drives him. In college they called it hero ball. If you look at him at the end of the game, he seemed mad and not excited when Santos won the game. At this point in the season when his inaccuracy should be getting better, a lot of misses. He had some drops but on several of those it looks like he threw fast balls when he should have thrown change ups. Last week we won because of Caleb, this week he was just along for the ride. He has some outstanding traits but if he doesnt start being more consistent all of those great traits will not matter. He's not going anywhere anytime soon but at what point does BJ quit trusting him? Half way into the season next year is my guess.
  17. We have the chance to have JJ, TJ Edwards and Kyle Gordon all back in a couple of weeks. We may be able to play better defense and Aaron Rodgers got hurt today.
  18. I'll take ugly but we didnt play well on the road again. They keep winnings so I am not going to complain at this time.
  19. Another thing I forgot to mention. Our LT (Theo) is now third in the league (all Ts) at win rate at run blocking. We are now the 7th ranked OL in the league, third in pass blocking efficiency. As much as there are legitimate arguments that we should have drafted a first round LT but a UDFA may be our LT of the future. We have given up 14 sacks this year compared to leading the league in sacks last year 68. As much as 1/3 of the sacks were because Caleb was holding the ball to long last year, his pocket awareness has helped him avoid sacks this year. Everything appears to working.
  20. I agree with the C+ grade on Poles. All GMs have hits and misses but the key to any organization, are they winning ? Poles said he needed 5 yrs to rebuild this into a consistent winner, we are in year 4. He will be remembered for drafting Caleb and hiring BJ, not all the third round misses. Shanahan traded a bunch of picks to draft Trey Lance in 2021 which would have got a lot of people fired. He didnt get fired because he is a consistent winner. Belechek is known for being the best coach ever and his history is littered with mistakes but always won. BJ has influenced Poles picks , just look at the Loveland and Burden picks but it still falls on Poles shoulders. You build a team successfully thru the draft, free agency, and C G-Johnson type pickups. The only important question , are we winning? It appears to be right on Poles schedule in a 5 yr rebuilding plan. He came in here with a terrible Cap situation, and a bunch of expensive older players without many good ones. Condemn Poles all you want on his mistakes but do we have a team now that can win the North (tied for first place) and become a playoff contender? So far so good.
  21. I never really like Phil Simms but I agree with his ranking.
