5 games is not enough time to judge a player in this season when he will have at least 5 more games to look at him. The whole purpose of this year was to see if Fields is our long term answer and the injury will confuse that judgement. No intelligent GM is going to say (, we dont need to see anymore and blow off the rest of the year.) Why would they? The rest of the year will determine his fate. Let's say, he thinks like you and thinks he is terrible and trades him in two weeks, for a 5th or 6th round pick.(injured QB) Then he goes to Atlanta and balls out for the last 5 games. That would tell us how stupid Poles may actually be. The stats only show he is not as terrible as some people suggest because he has similar stats as the best QB in the league. That doesnt make him great but at least deserving of the rest of the year to judge him. Truthfully the injury has already probably sealed his fate. Poles has to judge what his best option is and that includes the rest of this year. The rest of the year will also determine who the best QB in college is, it may not be Caleb Williams. I'm still trying to figure out how you read my mind and knew I would trade for Fields if I were the Chiefs GM. Those are very private thoughts.

Injury history and age always comes into play. The winner could be Drake Maye from Duke. No one knows yet.

Unfortunately we don't know anything and then when we do know, will they give us all the facts? Bagent will play at least the next few games, and they will keep it simple for him and he will do okay. Brock Purdy 2? I doubt it, but may be the intern with a drafted QB next year. The defense is starting to play better , so if can establish the run and put Bagent in a decent position to succeed we still may win a few games.

No matter how well a college QB does its hard to translate to the NFL. Its traits, good coaches, the right situation , many variables that go into the answer. A new coach will have a say in the next draft, what if he wants to keep Justin with an up and down rest of the year? or we draft a QB and doesnt think he should start his fist year? So many things to play out, just t early to figure it out now.

In 2009 Seahawks were 5-11 , Pete started a rebuild and went 7-9 in 2010 also had 2= 1st round picks. , 7-9 in 2011. He brought in Cris Cleamons (11 sacks) and M Lynch (1024 yards) 2011. In 2012 he drafted Russel Wilson and started winning. He has done very well in Seattle but didnt win until his 3rd year. He is one of the best examples of a good rebuild similar to ours, lots of teams didnt do so well. The key he drafted a QB. Carroll had the best organization in college football before he came to the NFL, Flus was a DC with a GM that never did it before. The point is , its to early to fire everybody.

We hired a new regime at the beginning of 2022, not 5 years ago. Poles actions dictated a complete rebuild that experts say takes 3-4 years. We had the worse roster in the league last year but for some reason everyone should be fired less than a year and a half into that rebuild. I am probably the most optimistic fan on here , disappointed as I am, its not even 1 and a half years into it. This year was the year of seeing if Fields is a franchise QB, so far it doesnt look he is and the injury will confuse that choice. Poles will decide at the end of the year, not 6 games into it. The report on coaching is headed to a change at the end of the year or maybe sooner depending on the continued losing. Getsy gets most of the criticism on play calling and its justified, more bad than good. Flus is over his head but not sure if most coaches succeed in this situation. People want an offensive mind hired but so soon forget we did that Nagy, top aid OC at that time. Losing brings out every narrative you can imagine , so nothing looks good but Poles has added talent, mostly young players that need time to develop that no one wants to give them. he has brought some vets in, some good and some bad. The truth is DJ Moore and Edmunds are the only new players getting paid. Poles has fixed our cap hell and got us DJ, Wright, Stevenson, 2025 2nd, and probably a #1 pick with one pick. We didnt have a 2022 first round pick. What will he do with 2 first rounders? Our future is not set in stone it will change for the better in 2024. We are basing our opinions on everything happening now, that was just high expectations. Reality: maybe 3-4 wins and 2 top 5 picks, great cap space, a new coach, probably a new QB or more draft capital from a trade. This was never going to be the climb to the top of the division year, I just dreamed it would be. Poles isn't going anywhere.

Not sure if it's that long. I suspect 2 to 3 games. Its just about gripping the ball. I smashed my thumb with a sledge hammer and a fracture. It was almost normal in one month.

This is going to be a rough year but lots of high drafts picks is coming soon, that doesnt really make me feel good about this year though.

It is easy to see a defense that is getting better a little bit every game, take those TDs away from the TOs and the defense played okay. The OL played better last week and couldnt handle the blitz today(some could be line calls, coaching) so our offense struggled. Until we either upgrade or get hurt players back, we are going to struggle. Whitehair was bad today, he will be gone after this year. Probably with a Brock Purdy type QB , we wont have anymore OL struggles. OLines dont have to block when your QB has rhythm.

An injury may derail any progress Fields may have had this year, and then clearly we will draft a QB in the next draft. Poles doesnt owe Fields anything, he has the rest of the year to fail or improve. Bagent may prove to have some value, but 2 TOs in your first game aint a good start.

You're right, Caleb Williams threw in rhythm last night 23/37 199 5.4 1 3 55.7 and looked great doing it. Do you do online football watching classes? do you take credit cards?

Some players need time to be developed, and some come in and fumble and throw an interception in their first game but look good. Got it

Fields is trying to make some big plays when he didnt have time, the difference with Bagent, he just looks and throws.

I think Fields is injured, just doesn't have good reaction time to plays. He got hit in the head on one of those runs.

With ESB and Claypool not playing they lost their height at WR. I can see Mercedes Lewis taking a lot of snaps today. If they go heavy 12 personal that means they will be rushing a lot. Should open up Mooney on slants and Kmet in seams. Passes to RBs?

He had a broken bone in his hand, I dont think it slowed his workout time down, just playing in a game. Not sure how that works in IR, dont remember hearing people say he was around at practices.
