  1. If we ended up with Harrison and Boyers, i would be elated.
  2. FAgency doesnt have any top tier centers but may get one and a rookie. Poles drafted Kramer, I would like to see what he has got. Apparently not resdy yet.
  3. Saints are similar to Raiders except with a better defense. Just establish the run and go from there.
  4. Its obvious we will need a new OC next year. We didnt draft one this year and the only one that had started was John Michael Scmitiz and he has been hurt for 4 games and not played well at all. According to PFF the 32nd ranked center. Joe Tippmann was drafted as a OG-OC and is starting at OG and has good grades. Last years group drafted may end up being good players but not one them has shined in their first year. I think Whitehair will be let go and Patrick is out of contract. Doug Kramer hasnt seen the field yet so we have nothing to judge him by. The best OC in the draft ( Sedic Van Pran )is rated a second round pick and we no longer have a 2nd round pick. He may last until the 3rd round but may not be an instant starter. Only a few have done that over the last few years. There are a few in FAgency this year under 30: Andre James/Raiders 9th ranked on PFF Evan Brown/ Seahawks 23 rd ranked Lloyd Cushenberry/Broncos 13th ranked Tyler Biadasz/Cowboys 18th ranked Connor McGovern and Ryan Jensen will be available be are going to be 32. I would say go after Andre James at 27 and playing well this year and have Doug Kramer as the backup and still drat one later in the draft.
  5. When you work with other coaches, you don't necessarily know their personal side. Flus will speak later but I dont think they are aloud to speak to these matters in detail. You would thing maybe him hitting on a employee, or something more lewd. Flus recruited the coaches and Poles hired them. Chances are it was hidden behavior before that they didnt know about I doubt if it is something that just popped up. I think overall all of these are more prevalent because of their losing these past few years.
  6. It will be interesting to see if it is related to the other firing.
  7. Its very odd having 2 coaches fired in season. I wonder if they are related to the same situation. Dont see Flus being our coach next year just by the disfunction of the coaches he hired. Will have to say that this year has lots of story lines making this season interesting. Not all good thou.
  8. If Chase Young plays well, he will seek the top dollars for an edge rusher. That would be 25+. We can probably get Sweat sighed in the 20-22 range. On the Washington DL he was 4th on the pecking order. Here he will be the top dog. No reason to not expect Poles doesnt get him resigned before the end of the year. Having the highest cap going into next year puts us in the position to sign players other teams cant.
  9. As much as we have been losers, other teams have major problems to. I think we end up winning enough games that there will not be an in year firing.
  10. Walker the RB coach got fired yesterday. What's up with that?
  11. The DL got better today and Sweat is a better run defender than Young. Its a high price but that frees up our top 2 picks to not have to grab a edge rusher. The top pass rushers will go in the first round so the second round pick may have been a pass rusher anyways. Sweat will be a better player than anyone we probably could have drafted. Also Minny and GB are worse today. This is going to increase our win total that will lower our picks, so that high 2nd round pick may be 10 spots lower anyway. As far as age , he is in his prime. Our window to win is the next 2 years by the moves Poles has made. Next year will be the year that Poles will be judged on, not this year so he needs to win. I totally expect Poles to get extra picks with one or both of those high picks so that will minimize the loss of the high second pick.
  12. That sucks. Watch he ends up being a stud.
  13. Hard to say on blue chip players, who would have thought Von Miller would be going strong at his age. Some last and some don't. I would say 2 strong years then no one knows. I would the next two years are our window if we keep Fields, otherwise we will see what his plans are.
  14. If you're referring to Justin Jones, he is a UFA after this year.
  15. I found this tweet to be funny. Greg Braggs Jr. @GBraggsJr23 · 38m It's crazy how many NFL teams are searching for a good GM when there are so many readily available on Twitter.
  16. This move tells me they plan on winning next year. The team is better today than one week ago, I dont think that's a negative. He will trade for more picks, you add a OC, another edge, Marvin Harrison, and another Safety. Also Sweat has 27 pressures which is a great stat.
  17. Brian Mitchel, a Washington sports figure said that Sweat is more signable than Young. Young is a me me player and will ask for the moon. Sweat has only missed 6 games in 4 years for injury. Young has missed 23 games in 4 years. No one knows on how all of this plays out. We need more time to see what Poles actually builds here in his third year not at 1 and a 1/2 years. It would be dumb to think Warren didn't sigh off on this. Poles isn't going anywhere anytime soon.
  18. Combine numbers on Sweat 6056 - 260 - 4.41 speed, 35.75” arms, 7.00 - 3-cone, 36” vertical, 10’5” long jump. That’s what a DE looks like
  19. Nothing matters if he plays well, if not, same thing as Claypool next year.
  20. Maybe this is why they arent giving JJ 20 mil a year.
  21. We have to see how it plays out Claypool was a bad deal . Seen where he had 4.41 speed coming out of college and has 27 pressures so far this year. This makes the whole line better.
  22. Im good with that. I am sure they have a contract already done. ^.5 sacks so far this year and only injury history was 2021.
  23. I agree with that, rumors said they were offered a 3rd.
  24. He said when he got here, he wasnt going to overpay for FAs. So many teams have over paid for vets and got themselves in cap trouble and release that player 3 yrs later. Once you overpay and get bite, its a long road out of that. I heard he offered to match Montys contract last year, but Monty didnt feel wanted here. Last year we were in on M. McGlinchy and he made 17.5 per year and has been bad. How would that look if we gave him 18 mil? Not good.
  25. I agree with that, rumors said they were offered a 3rd.
