Not in any particular order: 3T, edge, swing T, OC, FS, WR, TE, QB prospect
-
Jones is a clear bust but not sure you can say that on Tyler just yet. Some take time to develop.
-
When he threw 16 completions in a row, I didn't realize those were all broken plays. I get he lacks consistency but to say he can't do something is a little far fetched.
-
We have all of this conversation and if we don't get either of the first 2 picks, totally a different story.
-
I question his conservative play sometimes on O .Not sure If Getsy has full control of play calling or if he gets involved. With all the losses, his team hasn't quit. Imagine being worse in the league in run defense to be first in one year, that's amazing. I think if he wins 3 or more games, he will end up staying.
-
If they bring someone else in , it wont be someone that wants to change the defense to a 3-4. It will find regression in building a defense and then have to redo the defense again. they will bring in a like mind.

The NFL draft is April 25th. They will have work done on the draft and if they dont get there guy, then they can pick up his 5th year. If they trade Fields it will during the draft. Then if they dont will surely give him the option. They could target a QB , not with the first pick and if they dont get the QB prospect they want. just bring Justin back.
-
They have a cheap LT, DBs once Jackson is gone . ( If JJ) doesnt come back. They have the room to keep him if need be.
-
Those are all good names. Walker is one of our better lineman and I think he should stay. Jones, Green and Yannick are gone. We cant gut the DL totally that will be regression.

My history has rock and roll littered all over it.

It's OK to have different opinions, we just have different views on what may be best for the Bears. It's not about being right or wrong, Poles is the ultimate say on who will be and I will support what he decides, we are just not finished with the season yet, and I view my team with hope.

I get it, he doesn't do everything right but a handful of plays doesn't define any QB. He will never be Burrows or Mahomes Not sure he will be as good as Curt Cousins as seeing the field but that doesn't mean he doesn't have value. Several QBs have not looked good against the Vikings pressure defense, they are ranked 8th in the league. Also the first winning team we beat in their house. As several former QBs have stated , they see improvement, I am not sure he is growing fast enough to save his job. You did a great job of proving what you are trying to show but the short coming he has are improving. to go along with his good traits. Maybe in your mind , he needs to be a top 5 QB, but he is not a typical QB that can still have growth happening. When condemning Justin they want to say but he lost all those games. It's a team sport, it started out with a bad roster and inconsistent coaching. Of course some of those loses are on him but the key question is can he get better? I think he can but it may not be enough to save his job. The second question is there a better QB prospect than can be a top 5 QB ? That is what GMs get raises for and fired for. It still has to play out. This whole scenario is very complex, it's just not as simple as he didn't make his first read or see an open WR in a certain situation. If Poles moves on, just like Justin is our QB, I will support the new QB with as much passion as I did this one. It's not the blind Neanderthal just supporting any team player, I see things you do, it's just the season isn't over yet. Chase put the tape out but he did not end up with the same opinion you have, why is that?
-
Pick any player in the league and you can do a highlight film and find enough tape to do a lowlight film. Fields isn't there but to ignore good plays isn't realistic. There is such a thing as players get better. Fans have tons of opinions, but former QBs opinions carry more weight. They have been there and done that. Are they all idiots claiming Fields is getting better? I think they know what to look for , everyone is entitled to their opinions.
-
We could only pray for that.
-
I dont think I said he said (he's the man) just that he is playing better.
-
Adam is a stats guy and a big IF we win out, its a math thing. . If we end up with 7 wins I would be over joyed, that is what progress is. Even last year I always rooted for us to when every game, after we would lose, I would say at least we have a chance at the first pick. I never root for us to lose. I can always find something positive to say about our chances, but the Bears seem to always find stupid reasons why they lose. hard to not think about that.
-
He was just on the SCORE and repeated everything I stated . His biggest attribute is he sees him getting better which is all my point was anyways. He never did say he was totally all in on him.
-
In the far past we have butted heads many times but since the new regime has taken over we seem to be on the same page. Kudos for being well spoken on this issue. I think you make a lot of good points.

Fans go either way on their opinions. Some people only notice the mistakes and some just see the good things Fields does. I pay attention what former QBs say , they are in a better place to see how a player is doing on the field. Fields has the intangibles to play the position , leadership, hard worker, tough player, totally has the respect of his team. He is accountable when he plays bad. Everyone worries about arm strength, and no one questions that. His biggest complain is his decision making. He appears to be getting better or that's what the former QBs notice. Remember last year the NFL players voted him the 86th best player in the league coming off a bad year. They voted him ahead of Trevor Lawrence, that is clearly respect from your peers. So we're going to bring in a rookie and they have to diagnose all of his traits not just his passing skills. Lots of questions about Williams attitude already stated he would only play for 3 teams. We are not on that list. His size will bring questions about durability issues. People throw around the word ( generational) way to much. Mahomes was never mentioned in that context. Was Burrows? I don't remember. Do we have to go back to Luck to say that? I dont think NFL people have any idea what that is.
-
Aikman for the first time questioned the moving on from Fields. If you listened to him earlier in the season, he was totally (move on). But like many former players, he seen some good in Justin . Can players get better? The answer to that is yes.
-
Im on X and man is this a hot topic and vey evenly divided. Someone did a poll of 4000 fans and 60% want to keep Justin. Lets face it fans opinions dont count , its what Poles does. What is best for the future of the Bears? the question should be, what gets us more wins next year? Continue building the roster, then the big questions, new coaches, new QB? Im glad that I dont have to make that decision.
-
God coaches adapt to their talent, that's what good coaches do. Fields plays in the pocket much more than on the move. Unfortunately. If he goes somewhere else, you're right it wont matter but what if he is playing better than our rookie QB? will that matter?
-
If we change the coaches and QB, we could look at another few years of growing pains. IF we go 4-1 or 3-2 does Flus save his Job? I could see Flus staying and just changing a OC. Getsy has had some good and bad but a better coach will make whoever the QB is better. I would like to see Todd Monken , the OC for Ravens. He adapts to the talent not push schemes over players. I get not looking at Fields favorably , lots of bad tape but to assume a rookie QB is going to ride in on a white horse and we become a playoff contender is naive. If good it will have a couple of yrs of growing pains. everyone looks at Stroud season and think that will happen, that is rare; more bad examples than good. Stroud lost to the mighty Panthers 2 weeks before we played them, Stroud was 16-24 for 140 yards no TDs. That's a Fields type game. He had a 4 interception game a few weeks ago . Everyone wants to just remember his couple of great games but not his bad.
-
QBs never play flawless games. this an example of a generational QB that doesnt always plays well. He has a great coach but his OL and weapons arent as great as they once were, so now he makes more average play. That is why I think building a team to support any QB is important. Had Mahomes been with the Bears these last 2 yrs, he would be very average. Fields has more bad than good ,but just lately you are just seeing some flash traits. Lets face it, players and coaches are measured on wins. Let's see what the last 5 games show us. I want Flus gone but if he wins his last 5 games, he may still be here. If Fields shows you enough growth, Poles may decide to keep him . In the NFL , its about what have you done for me lately.
