As I listen to it again he DID NOT make a direct commitment but he did say a lot of good things about him and said he was pulling for him to do well. I would not take this conversation as (move on from Justin). He never states that and says Poles is going to have a tough decision to make.

I understand your addiction, post which one is your favorite, not sure with 50 posted. I would love the lastest one your posted, know nothing about Travis.

He was on the Score with Dave Wannsted in an interview and said it would probably be best to bring him back next year. If I can find it, I will post it later today. My doctor okayed my neck Thursday so I'm working today, will have time later.

Bears just gave Santos a 4 yr extension. 19.5 nil

Your choice may well be the best answer. LV keeps changing regimes, it's getting down to, one year to proof yourself. No way that going to promote stability. Everything will be clear once we figure out our draft position. If we don't have 1 or 2, I think the conversation changes. Fields is not a top 10 QB in the league, nor is he bottom 10. I think the more choices we have to play QB is the best chance we have to start winning regularly. Fields this year will be cheaper that a top 5 pick. Fields is a mature man, no way he's going to hold out if we draft another QB, he will take that as a challenge. I'm not saying not to bring in a QB, more in the mind to have both. The GM survey said all you will get from other teams is a third. Is that worth the rookie QB risk of regression and a risk of JF1_going off on another team?

Look at all the injured QBs in the league, Stroud, great prospect is not playing now, injuries attack rookies as well as vets. Burrows is the best pocket passer in the league, and he seems injured all the time. Unless a player has an injury history, I'm not sure the (potential) injury comment applies. More reason to keep Fields and draft a QB, IMO. Do you agree that our coaches doesnt put JF1 in the best position to succeed? If you notice that when he runs now, instead of getting more yds, he's sliding to prevent taking more hits.

Like you stated, most said PROBABLY the best choice would be to bring Fields back, not one of them were set in stone on that opinion. I'm not sure on my opinion, if a QB in the draft looks great at the combine, pro days, I may be out on Fields. I want what's best for the Bears future, I'm tired of losing. Imagine if a rookie comes in and plays like Young and Fields goes to Atlanta and balls out? The fandom would instantly want everyone fired. I try to offer a chance to do both and prevent that.

What's your opinion on this subject? If you posted it, i dont remember it. They're just opinions but , I was trying to show I am not alone in my opinion. Smarter people than me have similar thoughts. Some of these people only job is to analyze football players, therefore they put more time in it than me. GMs get paid for their choices and get it right 1 out of 4 times a draft. If you get sick, are you going to take a friend's advice or listen to a doctor with 20 years experience? We all acquire information and try to think what would be best for the Bears future , I was actually out on Fields after the last game and listened to so many of these guys, It flipped me again. Dave Wannsted has the best idea, IMO, keep Fields for next year, maybe 2 , build your roster up, draft a prospect and develop him. Then you can decide who you want as a QB of the future. If Field's gets better, and wins you games , you can trade the other prospect. It eliminate the chance you regress with a rookie QB for one or two years. Just look at last year as an example, Young was most people's choice as the best QB, several teams tried to trade up to get him, Houston got stuck with Stroud. He is the better QB at this time, no one was saying Stroud was the next great QB, but there you are. For me, if Fields didn't show signs he was getting better, I would be rooting for someone else but a rookie brings risks to. Change the OC, design an offense to fit his strengths, put better people around him, and see what you got. Baltimore did it with Jackson. ( not saying Justin is as good as) . This thought is based on Poles brings Flus back, if he lets him go, then we might as well bring a new QB with him. This is my opinion, you can sort information out and decide for yourself. Why are we on this site if not for throwing out opinions and discussing them?

Brian Baldinger Tim Jenkins Chase Daniels Mike Florio Hub Arkush JT O'Sullivan Dave Wannsted Troy Aikman Matt Bowen Kurt Warner Jimmie Johnson Terry Bradshaw Herm Edwards Adam Rank Peter King Dan Orlovsky This is a list of people that said if they were GM of the Bears, they would bring back Justin Fields. Now to be fair, some said they would draft a QB to develop over the next 2 yrs also. These are recent videos and interviews, they may have different opinions after the yr is over or before last week.

A few things, he offered Brian Allen a contract for more money than the Rams paid him but he stayed with the SB champs. Patrick was his second choice at center. Some say Terrell Smith was playing better than Stevenson at the beginning of the year. I think he ends up being very good. Justin Jones has been playing well, and i think they bring him back. He's not a star but since Sweat got here he's been balling. \ Nate Davis was very good before he got here, so i just think the beginning of the yr derailed his season. Remember we still have a second rounder (2025) coming in that original trade with Carolina. That trade was so good with the roster building. That's why I think he may do it again. If he does trade pick 1 and gets a future one from another bad team, we could be rolling a top 5 pick in 2025. That would be amazing.

Chicago Bears 10 Positions of Need in 2024, non QB edition
Stinger226 replied to Pixote's topic in Bearstalk
Hw will draft a WR so that makes Scott a 3rd WR that is still a rookie. Mooney would be WR #4, so if he thinks he can upgrade he will. Mooney produced for one and a half yrs before he was injuried. Depends if he thinks he can improve. Remember V Jones is still on the team, he hasnt done anything and has kept him around. -
I go back to Poles original plan which he sold to the owners. This a 4 yr rebuild and we will start to win in yr 3. He stripped the roster to redo our cap hell so no way an owner thinks that happens in two yrs. That is why he may keep Flus around for another yr to see if the progress continues to grow. Of course fans are tired of losing so for two yrs they are all over changing anything. We have never seen a complete rebuild since I became a fan. This is what it looks like. Lots of losing, to think some fairy tale is going to happen in yr 2 is something only an optimist like me would think. Now there is problems with the play calling , sometimes it looks good and most of the time its problems. If he keeps Fields, he will find someone that designs an offense around Fields special skills, otherwise if he brings in a pocket QB, he may even keep Gesty. The team is sold on Flus and are totally behind Justin, that will come into play with his keeping Fields. I still thinks he keeps Fields and brings in a QB to develop. 31 mil for the next 2 yrs foe Fields is not a big expense for QBs. The top drafted QB will cost 18 mil in those two yrs and you have no idea what your getting. If Poles likes Williams he is going to draft him. He said ( a QB to blow him away). Not sure that is the guy.

Chicago Bears 10 Positions of Need in 2024, non QB edition
Stinger226 replied to Pixote's topic in Bearstalk
If you only could fill one position , center is the most obvious. Your list is spot on. If we have 2 top 10 picks, those will go to impact players. MHJ, Bowers, Dallas Turner, J Newton. If, I dont believe he will, draft a LT, ALT, or the other guy. He can fill other spots in middle rounds and still add quality. I think the center and Saftey spot can be upgraded in FA. Several young centers available in FA and you can always find a S there. I think he may bring back EJAC on a reduced salary, if he cant find one. He will concentrate on both sides od the line for depth more than starters. I think he may bring back Justin Jones, he has been playing well of late and wont demand a big salary. I also thinks he may brings back Mooney if Fields ends up being here. -
The fans will give him 2 yrs to align with Poles contract. If fails, everyone is fired.
-
I think it's every one stays or everyone goes. The only other scenario is get rid of Gresy and Flus stays, no matter what he does at QB. For Poles is an admission that his plan didn't work and that reflects back at him.He will probably give Flus one more yr.
-
No GM is going to make his decision known until draft time, let alone with 3 weeks left in the season. It would give him less trade value if he does. I see him more praising him for obvious reasons. So many people have inside information to then be wrong. I think Poles is smart.
-
Evaluations of QBs always has its up and down side and Poles has totally been silent on what he's going to do. He did say a QB would have to blow him away to drat him. So, if he does draft one high, I suspect he will be sold on him. I cant remember, did Cutler get this type of traffic when we traded for him? Its amazing the mileage this subject has gotten, not only on a local level but nationally also.

Kill what's your opinion on Xavier Legette and Malachi Corley? Corley seems like a Deebo Samuel clone.

After you call me a pedophile and I say I'm not going to take that crap anymore and that I am going to start rattling your cage. For some reason you think can say anything you want and that I have no right to respond. Your evidence I'm a pedophile because I travel to Thailand ? Most people would be calling a lawyer for a defamation suit and I just thinks its funny when you say stupid shit. Because I am responding back yo you , Im starting trouble and wont stop . Its funny how that works. I would love to see you try to convince a judge that I savagely attacked you with the words( nice try) You tease everyone by saying your done with this site and here you are.

So what school did you play at? You might have mentioned it before? Friends with some coaches?
-
Adam just look in the thread you took down and go back a few days and you be able to see who's attacking who. He tried to say that defenses have caught up with Fields and he can't run anymore. I showed him the stats he is third in the league for rushing for QBs, and said ( nice try) and he blows up saying I'm attacking him for ( nice try) . But every one seems to be ok him calling me stupid a moron and a pediaphile. Funny how that works.

Go back and look at all the posts, read for yourself. The proof is in the posts. I can't remember what I did yesterday and you think I remember what I did 3 yrs ago. Amazing. Just take one thread , anyone, and look at our interactions.

If everyone agreed on Bears subjects, I wouldnt be on here, that would be totally boring. I like to see other views to see where I am wrong or right with my thought process.

You left this site and were all done with it. I'm still here and I'm not stopping making comments. Just go away.
