  1. He interviewed after the game and was fine. I think he most have did it working out, to do both calves. Maybe his body was still fatigued from playing and the next day, did it lifting.
  2. Fortunately we only have one injury that will bleed into the season opener. I know its a long list but we have avoided long term injuries. They stated from the beginning that they would be cautious with injuries and Im okay with that. Would rather have them for the start of the season and maybe not enough practice than not at all.
  3. Wasn't there a St Louis Cardinal S that played a game with broken bones in both arms? Long time ago.
  4. It remains a question but we still have time to figure it out. Borom and Carter has played well in reserve. Are they as good as the starters , no. Patrick had a bad year last year but had a couple of good seasons before that. Throw his worst season and best season away and he is an average starter in the league. We still have two weeks to get healthy. Dont know of severity of Wrights injury , we just have to wait and see.
  5. Not to compare but they said that about Tom Brady when he came out. That is why he dropped so low. We just dont know until we see more tape. He's calm, makes quick decisions, and has a strong arm, we just havent seen the long pass yet.
  6. I think he had a injury at the end of his college career which may have affected his training. OR I may have mixed that story up with another player.
  7. I agree he may pickup someone but the first game will be an in-house player until the new OL player is up to speed.
  8. They are going to play their best 5 OL. I suspect they think that is Whitehair to LG and Patrick at OC. (if healthy) Patrick didnt play well last year but his history was he played well at OC in the previous two yrs in GB. If Whitehair has a hand injury (OC) this makes sense. We are having injuries but they are non long term.(feel lucky) no one is out for the year. I suspect if Whitehair is ready for game 1, Carter will take over the LG spot. Jenkins is great when he plays but always has something going on with his body. I think when you have back issues , it shows up in weaknesses in other areas because of the compensation for protecting the back. I think they may just put Carter in and let him win the spot instead of the oft injured Jenkins in the future. Is it better to keep putting in Jenkins or to go with potential with Cater? Remember we picked up Logan Stenberg. Not sure if he figures in the mix but he has starter experience. As much as this isnt idea, we do show depth this year with players getting better in development.
  9. I paid today but tied my bank to the account so it is pending until Friday.
  10. Heard that Tevin Jenkins has a leg injury and may miss 4 weeks at the start of the season. They havent been official with that news but Brad Briggs reports his sources stated that.
  11. Pickens is shining before Dexter because Gervin still has a low pad issue. Pickens doesnt. I watched tape of Matt Forte and R Johnson has similar running styles. Forte- 6/1" 221 Johnson- 6' 220
  12. I think P J Walker is going to have a mysterious injury very soon. Clearly is not playing well, Bagent would not clear waivers to put on the PS. Just do it. Who does R. Johnson remind you of as a runner? If you watch Matt Forte tape ?
  13. that's a nice stadium, the only time I was there was for a Big 10 championship game when Iowa played Michigan State (I think)
  14. Leatherwood and Carter are holding his own but Kramer is struggling.
  15. As I watch Bagent, as far as standing in the pocket, he physically looks like Tom Brady. Tall in the pocket, calm. Not suggesting anything but the look.
  16. Greg Gabriel said all teams get the tape on the bears preseason games but the practice is not shared with the league. They worked on what they needed to see, and not put stuff on tape for the rest of the league. I guess that makes sense.
  17. The only Bulls game I went to to see MJ, was the last game of the year and he only played the first quarter. Sometimes it works that way.
  18. Anyone know what happened with Jackson? Someone said he got hurt but can't find anything about it.
  19. Dave Wannsted always said you need to throw at least 2. deep passes every half to keep the defense honest. With our WRs , I suspect 5 or 6 a game.
  20. OG Nelson against our rookies DTs
  21. Seen a video where QBs in the Shanahan type offense in their 2 nd year averaged. 4100 yards and 33 TDs. There was 3 of them. Matt Ryan was one them, don't remember the other rwo.
  22. Another nail in the coffin for PFF. They had Justin Fields rated 69.3 grade in the Tenn game. How do you throw the ball 3 times (100%), 129 yds and two TDs and get a low rating?
  23. None of these additions are killing our cap and could be early cuts. Since injuries will happen, Poles is prepared for good backups. I totally think, the regime thinks this could be a sneaky good team. Over 10 wins. He acts like it's a good team preparing for a run. M Walker, YN, and move will be brought in.
  24. There is a couple of statements made when these draft picks produce. Poles can identify talent and the coaches are developing players. As much as fans have been here before ( optimism) , this regime seems different. In another year, we will start to see Kramer looking like he belongs. Boron played well also.( shock) From one year to the next, look at the upgrade of the roster. RB room, WR room, LB room, DB room, OL room, and I believe we will see it in the DL also. I can't say enough how things feel different. Was excited when 2018 hit but didn't have the same optimism with Trubisky and company. The majority are young guys.
  25. Dylan Cole is supposed to be a ST stud. There will be a few players kept because of their ST play. Hosmer is another keeper for ST. This roster is going to be tricky. By cut down day a few players are going to be an injury issue.
