These are boring days. https://twitter.com/DeeksViewOG/status/1672339005789073408?s=20

I always liked Durkin, was wondering where he ended up, started at the SCORE
-
What matters is who's there when training camp opens. Having a soft tissue injury isnt giving him a ticket out of Chicago. He is fairly cheap so he will be here to prove himself. If we get his rookie season year, he's all good. 62-873-9.

you can go to the league website, pick last years standings and then look for draft results. It normally shows 2023 which has no results.
-
The fact there will be some injuries pop up that will change some spots, so having hard decisions to pick from will work out. Maybe he drops a RB to keep an extra WR.
-
With Velus and Tyler Scott on the roster, Pettis is similar where ESB is a big WR and a good blocker. I would say Pettis is gone but we can keep two vets on the practice squad. so maybe they stick him there. I see both being able to contribute.
-
The more I read the more I think Dexter will be a star. Listened to his Dline coach out of Florida, he was one year removed from coaching with the Giants. The best thing that I liked he said was , put him in a phone booth and he was always come out alive. He never takes a play off and says sir every time he talks to adults. He said his daddy taught him respect. 55 tackles last year as a IDL is a lot. Jalen Carter had 32.
-
Possibly but still thinks he gets offers from contenders. We need to convince him we're A contender.
-
I think after two drafts, Poles appears to know what he's doing. I still expect Velus Jones to step forward this year and show us he was worthy of a third round pick.
-
Not sure that is who they bring in. He clearly wants to be on a team that is a SB contender, a long term contract. Both of those wont happen here. I think they bring in someone but not a game changer. Last year Justin Houston 9.5 sacks in 33 % of snaps. Plus cheaper.
-
Heard a Under Center ( NBC Sports) podcast and they brought up a good point. With a more talented WR room and our Defensive backfield having lots of good prospects, they should make each other better.
-
I think when Eddie Jackson came into the league, he carried an injury concern. In his 6 years, he played at least 64% of the snaps every year and that was last year. The point is no you take care of your body, you be able to play the majority of games. I think Jenkins is learning to take care of his body and mentally is in a better place.
-
Appears more mature, always had the physicality. Now just have to wait and see if his injuries are in the past.
-
We had the worst defense and a lowly offense last year and won 3 and lost 7 in one score games. if we competed in 10 out of 17 games last year, what will an improved roster do? It's a need but Poles did add some new players. Is it ideal, no but to think that they will allowed QBs a lot of time to throw is a little premature.
-
I don't think the fact we don't have a star edge rusher, that means we can't be good. This defense will get done enough to be in the middle rankings. A push from the middle will push the QB into pass rusher lanes on the outside. Are we better with one player with 12 sacks or 5 with 6 sacks each ?
-
I agree with everything you said. If we don't add anyone, I still think the defense won't be in the bottom 10 this year. That could still put us in double digit wins.
-
The preseason will determine who's here. I would like to see them add Danielle Hunter. IF it doesn't cost to much.
-
I'm in , I vote yes for both new rules. For now I'll keep Tony Pollard and lose my 5th round pick.
-
Everyone mentioned good names. my potential pro bowlers. Mine: Jenkins-Davis-Kmet-DJ Moore-Fields Velus Jones as a P +KR Edmunds-TJ Edwards-Brisker-Danielle Hunter(futre Bear) All Rookie team- Stevenson-Wright

I dont think Poles is not getting a DE because of the margin players on the squad. Robinson was a draft pick so he will give him every chance to succeed. He brought in Green and Walker , they arent going anywhere. Gipson is the one to watch, he has to show something or whoever comes in will take his place. The marginal players of Terrell Lewis, D'Anthony Jones, Jalen Harris will have to show something to make the final roster. All 3 could go to the practice squad if Poles wants to keep them. If Gipson gets cut he will only cost 81 thousand dead cap and save 2.7 mil on the cap. Last year they kept 8 DL on the roster , they also always kept 2 to 3 on the practice squad. Remember they changed the rules for that that can include 2 vets.(not just R-1-2 yr players Billings-Justin Jones-Dexter-Pickens will be the four DTs. I think he hides Travis Bell on the Practice squad unless he shines in the preseason. Walker-Green-Robinson I think are for sure. Gipson-Lewis could fill the last spot unless he brings in a vet DE. Jalen Harris and D'Anthony Jones could be put on the PS or cut. One name of interest is Jalen Harris. He played DE in college and some call him a DE and some call him a LB. Poles gave him a 3 yr contract for an UDFA.
-
I never paid attention to him before but Swifty did a video on him awhile back. It would be nice to have a surprise nobody emerge as a somebody. He has the traits.
-
Honestly it might take more but I would have no problem giving the 2025 2nd round pick from Carolina to them also. Keeps our own picks.

Justin Jones just became one of my favorite Bears because in an interview today he said Packer Fans were Shitty, Obnoxious and half of them dont know anything about football.
