As much as I like all those players, there's no way we are drafting 3 DL with our first 3 picks. The first 2 picks are awesome but I think they pick an OL with pick 41. A RB instead of a WR at 47 and they may wait until 72 for that. I do like Martinez as our power back.

I am trying to guess what Poles does, my personal projection means nothing. If they think the top 3 LT prospects are potentially better than Kiran and Braxton, they will take one. Campbell and Banks have both been projected as guards. Simmons have never been mentioned inside but has the injury concern. If you're taking one they have to have more upside than Kiran at 10. I don't think he will see that. I think an above average DL will be more attractive to them and grab a OL prospect in the second round whether LT or fitting in anywhere. I expect them to extend Thuney, that will solidify the IOL for 3 years. I think AZ was right saying the first round won't be about drafting a backup. A second rounder can sit a yr or two to take over if an OL fails. Depth will matter on a good team since injuries happen all the time. Who's the backup center? Is Bates staying for that? He hasn't been cut yet and they will know about his health. Murray was resigned to backup the guards.

Their offensive line was already built and they added the final pieces to finish the offense. Signed Monty and had 2 first round picks, of which Gibbs was one of them. Their team was farther along in development than we are right now. What I find interesting is, the player comparison for Gibbs was Swift.

The best RB in the league last year only had one contract. Between injuries and contract demands, they never stay with one team for a career. Jeanty would be splitting carries with Swift, just look at Detroit and snaps. We don't have a premium roster yet to add a last piece. Trade back is the only scenario and add picks and then take a RB. The RB from NC is rated higher than Jeanty by some pundits. Seen a draft review of Banks. He was playing great his first 5 games last year, then broke something , came back and played bad. Who you getting the before or after Banks?

This talks about everyone to pick at 10. https://www.youtube.com/live/h2hn0VMLF4U?si=x-ktAseJPUb4md36

Last year Kiran A was the 60th rated player in the draft. Late 2nd projection. The injury obviously dropped him down. If he came out this year he would be a late first round draft pick. He has all the traits of a good NFL LT. Strength, quickness and 36" arms. I would say Banks, Simmons and Campbell would be rated higher but he has great traits for LT. We are underestimating his potential. He has one 1 year of adjusting to the NFL even though it was a disaster, he should have never been on the field. That wasn't his fault. He is one step ahead of any rookie we would draft other than maybe Campbell.( Who I thinks ends up inside) . He definitely is the competition to Braxton this year that makes me think we don't draft a LT at 10. I would like us move back to the back of the first round and take Zabel. He could back up every position on the OL and be a future starter if something fails. We would get extra picks that could add to DL, RB, TE, S and WR. We add enough picks to add another prospect on the OL later in the draft. ( Joshua Gray) Is an upside prospect rated around 160 position.

I listen to a podcast and they talked about getting a high end WR would slow development of Odunze. I think if we didn't have Allen last year he would have shined better. We have 2 #1 type WRs that you are taking the ball out of their hands. Feature DJ, Odunze and Kmet and we will be a successful offense.
-
I agree, is Jeanty better of course but would the # 10 be used to upgrade a weaker positional group help the team more? Johnson runs a 2 RB system to keep the defense off balance all the time. We need to feature Caleb in our offense not a load back.
-
My only problem with Simmons is how much will he be available during training camp? Olin was talking about Kiran A, and stated after training camp, the teaching aspect is over during the regular season. When he made that start that he looked bad, it was like walking off the street and thrown into a game. Training camp is necessary for rookies. I fear the same scenario for Simmons as Kiran. I would have no problem with Grant at 10 either.

If it really is BPA, likely it's not a OL at # 10. With all spots covered as starters in the OL (assumed they let Braxton/ Kiran play out), it's probably DL ( Jarrett is 32, Billings has one year left, Pickens hasn't shown up yet) . Will Johnson should be there and Stevenson has questions and Gordon has one more year left. We need to draft one quality OL in the top 3 that is multi positional. We have to add to the OL room every year. That's how you sustain success. DE is always a possibility but a couple highly rated Stewart and Williams leave me with concerns. I would be okay if we took Grant at 10. I think a Landon Jackson could be a perfect fit but 10 is too early.
-
If we stay at 10 BPA seems more than likely. I think Membou is the second OL off the board, then Banks- Booker. I don't think Pearce fits Allen's defense so would they grab Grant or Nolen, the next best DTs. It could be Jeanty or Warren but I don't think they will do that. There's a few WRs slated top 10 but we have 2 star WRs, are we going add a third to detract from them? I don't think so. The CB Will Johnson may be the wildcard and replace Stevenson that still has something to prove.
-
The draft will determine if those positions have new starters. Braxton and Kiran will attack the LT position untill they prove they can't get better. If we draft Jeanty then that explains itself. My point was they are done with big contracts and will bring in a few vets but doubt any as starters. What they pick and where will tell it's own story as to if they think they will be our new starters.
-
Since we signed Jackson to extra years, I thought he would be a one and done and figured him for that spot next year. I'm not saying to take him at 10 but with trade backs, in the 20s. He could very well end up at LT also. All we need is one starter to go down to throw the OL in chaos. A potential starter at any spot is still a good idea. I heard Olin Kreutz talking and the eagles drafted Cam Jurgins to take Kelce s spot 2 years before he did. All the OL is basically here for 3 years minus Braxton but what if every year has one major injury, he fill in anywhere. He won't be there in the second round.
-
As far as starters, we can roll out with no more additions. Everyone we add now are backups. OZ, Scott could get us by. Samon Toure, john Jackson are still on the roster. Could Ian Wheeler be our 3 rd back? Wasn't he going to be a kick retuner before he got hurt? We have draft picks to add. Every position could be upgraded but nothing is a must do. As of now we have 3 primary weapons, Kmet, Odunze and DJ, plus Swift and Johnson.

OTC shows 12 mil for 25 and 26. Don't see 17.5 anywhere. Not sure what's accurate?
-
I think they must trust he stays healthy. He's younger better for the future with the team. With Thuney, they could tag him next year to get another year out of him if playing well.
-
I think someone like Zabel that could literally be fit in any spot on the OL would be an ideal pick. Someone that could play at least a couple spots. As much as we a solid front five, if someone gets hurt we need upgrade of backup that replace a starter in a year or two.
-
I think this year we are more likely to take BPA than in other years at 10 . Since the Dline is a strength in the draft, probably Dline and OL at 39-41. The first round is up to who drops. I expect we move down to add picks.
-
Just an addition to the room that Ben can play with. I suspect either him or Scott make the team, probably not both. I just woke up, during my nighttime I keep checking to see if we have additions and first time I sleep for 3 hours we add someone.
-
To be honest, I would be happy with any of those names. They do the most research and I trust them to make the right decision.
-
I think they know what's going on and will target S in the top 4 if they think to big of a risk. Plus with an abundance of FA SsI think they may well bring one in for backup if they can't trust Brisker's health. Actions will show the faith.
-
I don't think we draft Simmons because of injury. We got Kiran last year and just don't think Poles drafts that type again. I would have no problem with Banks or Membou or Grant. Although I think we could move back and still get all of those choices. I think Membou is the second T off the board. Booker will be high but Membou can play OG also if needed. The second round is where a lot of our fits will be drafted. Pundits say it's not top heavy with blue chip players at the top but above average in the next tier.20 to 50. i would even move out of the first round to get extra top 50 picks.
-
Unless Graham or Campbell drops,I see them . moving back makes the most sense. Actually I would a couple of trade backs to 20-30. I would target Zabel in the 20s He literally can play any spot on the line. He can fill any spot that isn't working out. Braxton or Jackson gets injured. With extra 2nd or 3rd round picks. DT, Edge, RB, WR, S can be gotten. Joshua Gray played for our assistant OL coach and can be gotten in 4 th or 5 th round. Was best OL at the Shrine Bowl. I think we target him in mid rounds. 3rd will be the sweet spot for RBs, I like Skattebo there. Dennis Allen likes big DEs, that eliminates most higher rated edge players. Landon Jackson, Nic Scourton , Shemar Stewart, Jordan Burch all fit that mold . I expect one of them.

We surely need another pass catching TE to back up Kmet. Smythe was brought in as blocker. Kmet has one of the best catch rates among TEs. 55 targets - 47 catches, 70% success rate.. He just needs to get more targets. Sam Laporte caught 60 of 83 targets at a 53% success rate. If Cole gets 83 targets,bo one will be complaining about replacing him . They need to add a rookie prospect to the S room but it's not a weakness at this time. We have excellent CB depth, Terrell Smith, Blackwell, and under a new coach that will demand accountability should help Stevenson. The new coaches will evaluate the roster and if we draft a CB high then we will know what they think of Stevenson. They will add some more free agents but at cheap prices that will fill some of these spots. Every position could use more talent but I think they still need to add to the trenches for future stability.
