  1. Anyone else think Thumey could play out this year and go back to KC? I can see that happening.
  2. There's a certain group that always goes top 10 regularly. 90% only have Campbell going top 10 but teams drafts are much different than actual projections . Banks could be next to move but have seen a lot of Membou as the second OL off the board. Top 20 usually has Campbell, Banks, Membou and Simmons in them. Booker is the other name that pops up. You only need 1 team to like someone. The key to top 10 is QBs. Is it 2, I've seen 3 pop up. It seems one player always drops and one always rises. Banks could be that player.
  3. So good players go for 4th and 5th round picks. It's better to have a 6th or 7th round pick than quality depth? You make the team OL better by giving it depth on a cheap contract. I only said to being back Jenkins if on a team friendly deal but they traded for an all pro replacement, not needed any more.
  4. That was his only bad year ever. I'm sure they have evaluated his health. As as contracts are becoming, I'm sure instead of waiting until next to extend they think their saving money.
  5. Why they traded Braxton? He would be the swing T. They can move Kiran A to guard for depth .
  6. Explain why it's trash? Proven return guy , speed with some WR potential. They don't have the money to chase an expensive free agent.
  7. If they deem he can be a quality LT, I think they will take him. Most draft mocks have him mid first round not top ten. I totally expect a trade back which creates a better value to take him at. The injury always needs to be considered. 3 big boards have him 17-17-18 with Banks and Membou in front of him.
  8. I just seen where Vegas has our first choice odds of a RB at the best odds. +125
  9. That's why the bears valued Edmund's so much. 6-5 in the middle of the field . The problem with a poor pass rush, the underneath is open to much and where most teams attacked us. That's why Brisker was valuable because he could play that well, when on the field.
  10. I would say 1 OL, 1 or 2 DL and 72 will be the wildcard pick. Our free agent additions were not all young guys, so I see high picks adding to our trenches that need depth and replacement players. I still think trade backs will add a couple picks for other positions.
  11. I think if Stromberg is healthy, he could be sitting on the practice squad if needed.
  12. I'm referring to coach Johnson playing 2 backs Swift and drafted player.
  13. I'm referring to coach Johnson playing 2 backs Swift and drafted player.
  14. If Simmons wasn't injured I think he would be the clear #1 LT but he was and many teams will move down board for that factor. Risk factors come in to play that high. Banks looked great his first 5 games, and when he came back very average, risk factor. Membou has the charm of playing great for 4 years but was never a LT, it wouldn't bother me if we did draft him. If I could pick our path and choices, I would move back once or twice and choose Zabel in the late first round, then the DT that drops or TJ Sanders and then Landon Jackson. The extra 2nd or 3rd round trade back pick would get me Junkins or Skattebo. My is 4 picks scenario.
  15. There is a handful of sure top 10 by most pundits. After that every team has a different board. I still think trenches is the priority moves early. Campbell is a top 10 pick and if available a strong possibility but I think he's gone by 10. Edge and DT fall in line next. After Carter Pierce seems to be the next choice of which is possible. DT has several potential top 10 choices Graham, Nolen, Grant are our most likely picks for us. Thuney is still a one year deal. Jackson has some injuries to have risks. Jarrett is older. I think we double down somewhere there. Since LTs are limited I think the BPA will be a DL guy. It's fun to think RB, TE and WR but I don't think we do.
  16. I'm a gambler, I would bet money no WR. No one knows what Poles will do, but risk factor for me is very small I lose money.
  17. I think it may affected our season in some small way.
  18. Another Pickens that appears out the door for us may end up staying. I heard he did the same body regiment that Dexter did but with the injuries affecting him showed nothing last year. If healthy he may very taking a leap forward this year. I think because of the bad year, we look down on all our rostered players coming back. I think we get a few surprises on people playing well that we wrote off. Pickens, Scott, Booker, Cris Williams. A few of these are going to stick and play well. Just don't know which ones it will be. I don't understand why we brought back Kramer while we count on Stromberg as our back up center. Maybe until Stromberg proves he can play healthy the back up backup plan.
  19. I agree with all of that which also means we won't be drafting a WR at 10.
  20. No matter who you draft at RB, Johnson is going to share the position. Atlanta drafted Robinson high and he hasn't been a different maker as far as wins. We aren't in the timeline to add a load back, to many other weaknesses right now.
  21. That would be a good draft, don't think we draft a S first but Poles is always going to surprise us.
  22. I always like your sensabilty. LB? That's never going to happen. We could upgrade at many positions but LB isn't a weakness. We are not into upgrading strengths in our process timeline. I totally believe DT is the spot to get a true difference maker. I would take any of those DTs, 3 of 4 should be there. Baun was a prove it LB last year for eagles, played great on the cheap and got some money now. We are going over the skis drafting to strengths. I still think we add a high profile multiple position OL in the second round to build the depth going forward. The only OL at 10 is Campbell and no one else. Simmons and Banks are the only true LTs and I don't think valued at 10. Now if we move back, anything is on the table because we also add picks. RB is very deep and a waste at 10 for a back that will fit in a 2 back system. Trenches still has to be the priority for the first few picks. If we draft a RB, TE, WR, I'll like it but it can't be the priority. Here's a video that touches on all of thoughts. Zimmerman and Brad Biggs. Very interesting
