Safeties still available Reshad Jones Tony Jefferson Eric Reid Morgan Burnett Clayton Geathers Damarcus Randall Vonn Bell John Cyprien DJ Swearinger I think Vonn Bell could be had at a cheap addition Clayton Geathers played for Pagano , I say he's the one.

These are players we could have had at Graham's salary. Ebron....Anthony Brown /CB......E. Ogbah...R. Wagner/ OT......Xavier Su'a-Fo/ OG.....Gurley/ RB......Adrian Phillips/S.....Jeff Heath/S......josh norman/CB......C. Lucas.....Klye Frackell/OLB....HaHa....john Miller/OG....Kevin Johnson/CB....KPL....Stefen Wisniewski/OG....Karl Joseph/S.... In a lot of cases at their prices you could pick up 2 for the money. Then this morning I was listening to Olin kruest on the score and he liked the signing., he liked it and he's right a lot.
-
Free agency just started they have plenty of time left. Plus one of their first picks will be OL.
-
I'm always hopeful everything works out but Graham was a low end TE that got top money. He clearly should have been a 1 yr 5 mil deal.
-
Anything helps, a lot of contracts now are on low deals. Lots to choose from so I am very confident we get a good one. I think every position of need will have a vet brought in so that leaves us open to our picks being a OL or WR will be best value in that area of the draft. I wouldn't have any problem with 2 OL either.
-
What I like is that other teams value the lower end of our roster. Pace did a good job at that. Before he came the NFL didn't even pur starters.
-
A safety is coming for sure. I would suspect that sign a couple and still draft one.
-
Ebron signed a 2 yr 12 mil deal. Pace should be fired right now for signing Graham.
-
At worst a good backup. Maybe will surprise but will have competition.
-
With all the TES we have, someone is going to step up or step out. Burton staying healthy or jesper stepping up. Remains to be seen.
-
You mean Gurley? He had injuries last year and there not going away in the future. Not worth anything more than a prove it deal. Lots of choices at safety, we can get one on the cheap.
-
At 13 million a year that's a salary you pay a pass rusher but still a good player. He got 10 mil
-
Being that cheap, I would think the bears didn't want to bring him back, or he would still be here.

Wwe have been condemning every thing the last few days , let me remind everyone a few things : This regime has got us a 12-4 and 8-8 season. We have ARob...Montgomery....Patterson....Cohen....Miller....Goldman....Hicks....Mack....Quinn....Smith....Trevathan....Fuller...EJAK. This is a good core to work from. We have a top 5 defense even with tolliver at CB. The big question pressing for me is SS. We will get 1 in FAgency and draft one. It doesn't matter if our backup ILB is bare. We can find another KLP cheaply. On O the biggest question is the Oline. We will be going with Massie and Leno, if they play at 2018 level that will be good enough. Either Bars or a draft pick will man the RG position. Daniel and Whitehair were not as good as 2018 but they are not bad players. If we can bring in a IOL and OT th either backup or take over , the oline will be fine. Don't forget we have a new OL coach, I think that will matter. We're going to add a WR and RB and that can be done cheaply. We are going to be good it's just whether 9-7 or 12-4 defines us and the QB play will determine that. We now 2 shots at getting that right.
-
I think there is still a strong possibility we trade both picks back and pick up 2 extra picks in the top 100. OL, WR, SS and TE. Does everybody think we could get 4 for Cohen? I don't think so. People who want a scat back could draft one in the 4th.
-
I seen this today, we need more backups at OLB too. Doubt he is a cheap addition. He made 6 mil last year.
-
I think he is our best option of who is available. Its nice if it wouldn't cost anything but it doesn't work that way. If all this means we get to the playoffs that is all I care about. I don't care how they do it. They will lose they job if they screw this up, not me.
-
If something is up it will come out. Being a team captain usually means well respected and well liked in the locker room. Maybe had a problem with a coach?
-
I think there is enough Ss out there that would be able to find one that we could get HaHa deal with. Also Detroit just released Devon Kennard a OLB that had 7 sacks last year and was a team captain. There is going to be many players released during this process, so we're going to get some players just not top tier.
-
We're dismissing players that already have on the team. What if they think Bars is good enough to be RG? What if they think tolliver or Tre Robinson is good to go at CB. they will be able to bring second tier players at ILB and S . Let's see what the moves they finish up with. Its very simple, if we don't make the playoffs, their all done anyway. Your job not on the relax a little and let play out. I'll try for an article about the Oline that someone wrote. It made a lot of sense with its opinion what needs to happen. The OTs were terrible last year but if they can play at the level on 2018 they were both listed in top 30 tackles in the league. Massie had to deal with an injury last year and Leno moved and had a child over that offseason. Maybe that affected them quit a bit. The guy made the point that moving Daniels and Whitehair back and forth screwed them up and used PFF stats to prove it. Your a smart guy, you can't have thought that we were going to be able replace the OTs this year no matter what we did.

Any way they went would have its criticism. I am just happy they made a move and not left this in MTs hands alone. The proof is in the pudding. If we succeed, everyone is a winner. If we lose Pace is gone anyway. I heard on Twitter , another team wanted him. If we lost the deal because we only offered a 5th , then what would anyone say. This is a much better move than the Graham move. If Pace hits on both 2s a surprise later pick , I will be happy with the draft. I see him aggressively trying to trade back with both our 2nd round picks so we may still end up with 4 in top 100. All of this is not over yet. There will be some gets at the end of the 2nd tier CB and S. Let's see who they end up with. Anybody complaining about getting KLP and Nick Williams last year at this time? We have to let this play out and look at it at training camp, not now when we don't even know how soon football will start this year. One good point is Foles has no learning to do , he played in it already. We don't the cost of Dalton or Cam would have been. Would anybody be complaining if we had to give up a 2 for oone of them? I am going to look at this as a positive move until it proves otherwise. I don't think anyone on here has the beer flu, we're all winners.
-
I agree Trevathan gets hurt a lot but you can't pay everyone. Its time for Iggy or Woods to step up.
-
The problem is we need those first few picks to fill needs we don't get in free agency. Unless they draft komet , I think he is most complete TE of the group. .

Heard on Twitter that the bears had a meeting with Karl Joseph, hope that's true.
