  1. I like this much better, but we are not going to get all of our needs in this draft. Allen would make our front 3 killer that will help the back of the D. King is a great pick and Jackson is a sneaky good pick. He was awesome before his injury this year and will get back to that form. We did not address TE or WR but the draft is strong in those spots, so maybe in the last two rounds we can grab a Austin Carr/WR and a Roberts/TE

    BPA

In free agency we have added depth at all positions of need. So if Pace truly takes BPA, I looked at 5 lists of top players and these names common in all: Garrett Thomas Allen Forunette Adams Garrett will be gone and with Howard, wer wont be taking Fournette. So our pick will be from these three: Thomas Allen Adams I would be happy with any of them, but think it will be Thomas. I think we grab a SS in the second or third round, the position of great depth. I think Allen having arthritis moves him back on our list.
  3. I think if we sign Shanchez , it indicates they dont see any of the top 3 qbs as franchise players. I think we delegate one of the 4th rounders to pick a prospect. Three that could be there are Peterman, Kaaya, or Kelly. I think they view Sanchez as a vet presence to help the draft prospect and also Glennon to develop. Prescott has stated many times how much he helped him last year.
  4. I seen where Ray RH has grown to 285 and had his number changed. Sounds like he is a 5T now
  5. he's a stud but dont see us drafting to a strength when others are there
  6. http://www.scout.com/nfl/bears/story/17643...-mock-draft-v20 here is a mock by Aaron Fleming , I would like this draft
  7. RJF left Seattle without a deal , hopefully that bodes well for us.
  8. That would be nice, a little known fact , he was in SF with fangio in 2011 and 2012. Maybe that matters. Between us and Seahawks, where does he think he will get more playing time? Here.
  9. Also bringing in Jean-Francois/5T, a rotation player while we wait for Bullard to get his shit together. For a visit
  10. Screw that, you want a name, bring in Jamal Charles and have him be our 3rd down back. That would keep him healthy and at prime level.
  11. I heard the bears are converting D. Hall to safety. That tells me , we may be drafting the top CB with one of our first two picks.
  12. The only way a tradecgets done is we are on the, clock so we and other teams know the first two picks. If Garrett is there ,we're not trading the pick.
  13. Its just a backup more fitting than Sutton at NT
  14. I think we would be still be in on thomas , he's flexible enough to play end ,olb and slide inside on 3rd downs .A versatile player , Fangio would love.
  15. I seen that but i was referring to picking a player over another player because of his combine results
  16. There is risk for any QB at #3, I would rather have a all pro type drafted than end up with a Jake Locker, or Christian Ponder at that stage. No matter how much you want a QB this is a bad year for QB. One may shine and a couple others end up back ups, but there is no cream of the crop in this draft.
  17. The combine results are interesting but if you draft a player because he has good combine results, you will lose more times than you win. Thomas is more of a edge rusher where Allen is more of a 5T. Both are needs in this offense, and would have no problem with either choose.
  18. Both Allen and Thomas will end up being good players and would not have a problem choosing either. I was wanting Adams, but think a stud on the line would have more of an impact and then take Baker in the second and still would be getting a difference maker in the back of the defense. So any of those three would be fine with me, but I more wish to move back in the draft and get more choices but that is out of our control.
  19. Pace the last two years chased high end free agents but would only go so high before it became to risky to pay big money. I personally dont think Gilmore or Bouye are worth their contracts but would still like to have seen one,but Pace is bend on building through the draft and has set values on free agents. I think once we are ready to make the leap and need a few players to get over the hump, he will pay the big money. we are just at least one ,probably two years away from that moment. Every good team has gotten there by drafting well, we are trying to become one of those teams. I think the jury is still out, but if White comes through this year, and we have another good draft, then I would say we are on our way to being one of those teams.
  20. The first 3 QB prospects are large question marks to be drafted at the front end of the draft. None will make it out of the first round, they will be over drafted. I look at Draftcoundown for some of my information on the draft. He has Kizer rated 18th Trubisky is 31th Watson is 36th Mahones is 41 Webb is 88 Kaaya is 93 Peterman is 142 Dont know about the rest but I think the first three are realistic So from what I read, Webb and Perterman has got some scouts thinking. So I propose we wait into the 3rd round and try to get Perterman or Webb and hope one develop. The frist 3 have more upside, but the their value does not match a high pick in one.
  21. The key is how White turns out, if he takes off, he is our #1 and everything falls in place. Health is always the equalizer. Another part of that combination is if Glennon is at least a 13-16 ranked QB type. For him to be successful our OLine needs to play well. On the positive: the Oline plays well Glennon does 3800 yards-26 TDs and 12 int. White becomes a #1 then Meredith is our possession receiver and Wheaton or speed component. Wright is successful at the slot and Sims steps up-Miller stays healthy. If you look at it that way could be pretty surprisingly good. Many things have to happen but I think its looking up. I think we add a WR in the draft and another TE. I think Brown ends up being a productive TE as Miller fades into the sunset.
  22. I would be good with that.
  23. We brought in Vance Walker today, he has had some injuries issues the last few years but he last time he played the whole season, he had 40 Ts and 3 Ss. You figure anybody we bring in knows Goldman is the starter so , it will be a backup role, may be a good pickup.
  24. I think by our FAs aquired , I think it pretty well tells us , he is going DL in the first. So if he takes BPA as far as second and third, that will be DBs since they are strong draft postions. Areas we need to upgrade besides the back of the D, is our OTs. If we trade back in the first round, anybody have a probably with taking a OT at 1?
  25. I read a article about why we had to make that offer, Miami was also in the bidding and had to go higher to get him. GASE wanted him, sounds like a plus to me. Watch some tape on him, like Grizzy said, may turn into a gem. Similar to Bennett.
