This QB class doesnt have a player that rates that high. Yes there may be drafted in the top 5 but there talent and upside is maybe first round status. There is potential 3 starters out of this class, Trubisky, Kizer, and Watson. They all have big question marks for that high of a pick, but the position merits over drafting. I dont think any are franchise type QBs but they could end up being good starters down the road. I think we draft the BPA with the first and 2nd then get a QB prospect in the 3rd or 4th. Someone like a Falk or Rudolph.

They simply need to draft the BPA at 3 and those are the two names that one should be there. If Cleveland draft Garrett with the first pick, does that set up a potential trade scenario for a trade at the 10 th pick? I think if we got one of there 2nd and there 3rd picks, I would do it. At 10 we still could get Adams/FS and all the extra bodies the trade would give us.

If Elliot wasnt in the league this year , you are possibly looking at the Rookie of the year. Elliot is playing behind the best OL in football and averaging 5.0 yards a carry. Howard is 5.1 and the best in league in yards after contact. If he was our first round pick we would be saying what a greet pick he was, but as a 5th round pick? That's amazing. We have two very low rated OTs, our all pro guard is soaking in a tub and we still have one of the best rookies of the draft excelling.. If Floyd continues to improve as he has done this year, he will become one of the better pass rushers in the league. Cody Whitehair is going to be an all pro center. Nick Kwiatkoski , Deon Bush, and Dee Hall all look like potential future starters or at least NFL player typer depth to our team. We have many things to criticize Pace for but this draft is not one of them. I think we should tag Jeffery for one more year, just because who ever we get as our future QB prospect will need as much help as can get and we have the money. Our front 7 (cross your fingers they stay healthy) will be one of our strengths next year. We get the back end of the defense figured out and the defense will be at the top end of the charts. Hopefully the Barkley train have come back to earth, but at least will add depth to our QB position for next year. Lots of things to be positive of this year but the record isnt one of them. (high draft pick our reward)

Fanspeak rating are a little dicey, I like Matt Miller, GBNreport and Draft Countdowns better.

Brandon Langley /CB/ Lamar Height: 6-2 Weight: 193 40-Time: 4.45

White still has to have a breakout season, he has yet to have much of anything.

I think we should throw money at LT and CB. We need a play making FS of which have more upside in the draft. Also we need to draft a OT, another CB and a TE. I think Brown, Miller being back , and draft a TE we will have a upgraded TE position. Of course a QB prospect, preferably not the first two rounds.

the difference is Griffin has a track record that Hicks has not. Another year and he will be recognized.

There is much debate on how good this QB class is, so if we dont have to reach and still get a QB prospect, I would say that would be out of the first two rounds.

I think spreading the ball around is more successful that one top flight #1, A. J. Green, Julio Jones, Beckhum havent won anything yet.

Here is what I would do using Draftsite draft. 1-trade down to Cleveland's spot at 10 and get an extra #2 round pick and 3 rd pick( based on Cleveland's need for a QB) 1-10- Humpheys/CB/Ala 2-1- Johnson/OT/Flo ST 2-2 Maye/FS/Flo 3-1 Kupp/WR/EWash 3-2 Jordon Leggett/TE/Clem 4-1 Replogle/DT/Prudue 4-2 Luke Falk/QB/WS

I like your names at need positions but I think a play making safety should be a high draft pick(1st or 2nd) 1-

Solely based on contract, if you cut Trevathan, your in to 7.25 dead money, Freeman is 1 mil. I think we should keep all three and have better depth, we have a ton of money next year.
-
He is the 20th ranked RB so that would be a late round pick and that would be a good spot for a backup RB.

Here is a article by Greg Gabriel, taking about the future and the players we have in place.I agree with his assessment of talent. http://chicago.cbslocal.com/2016/12/19/gab...s-from-success/

What he is doing is putting his name up for next year to compete for the job.I also think that with him and connor Shaw, we let go of Hoyer and let the drafted QB be in the mix. I think all of this means we draft a position player at 4 and then draft a prospect in the 2nd , 3rd or 4th depending on who they like. What we're finding out this year is we have some depth going forward. We got a stud RB, a soon to be all pro C, and some viable future starters with the young guys. I think we need a S(maybe two), a legitimate CB,(FA), add a couple of OTs(draft one and bring a FA in). Draft a QB prospect, and one more WR if Jeffery isnt back.

We will have a lot of money next year so you keep all three and rotate them, then in another year, decide if Freeman remains.

Mike Freeman Reporting Fox will be fired at the end of the season

The only way Fangio is going to leave is if he gets a HC job, remember he has a contract and those arent that easily broken unless the regime wants him gone. -

Fox will get one more year, there are things to like and dislike about him but changing coaches every two years will be getting us nowhere. First of all, Pace will choose the next coach not a BR writer. Cooter may be a good choice but he wont be our coach next year. -
First of all Hoyer was signed as an undrafted free agent, so he is a little hard to use as an example compared to a 2nd round pick. the point I was trying to make was he is farther along in his development instead of a rookie QB that may take 3 years to play well. So if we trade the pick, 1 st or 2nd , that we would have drafted a QB, we will be closer to good. There is no cant miss QBs in this draft. For every Dak that plays well, there are 3 that bombed out.

Different situations have different results. He wouldnt have played as well here, and we would be on the fence with him right now. Having said that would be a good prospect for the future, which we dont have right now. Im now thinking trying to trade for Jimmy G. from NE would be a better choice than that drafting one in the first round, only because you have tape on him in the NFL instead of projecting a rookie that probably wont be good for at least 2 to 3 years. I would hate to think the first round pick in a trade, but it may end up that way. What say you?

Robinson is not worth a top 10 pick let alone a top 5. I have yet seen a mock that had him in the top 10. reach reach reach but yes a need

Peppers is a top 5 player, and we need a play maker in the D backfield. Should never pass up a blue chip player.
