For me it is less risk than grabbing a guy high in the draft, he has been in the NFL learning under Brady and Bellick, seems like our best option. If he is good, it will show quicker, any of the draftees will take a couple of years even if you have a gem. Wentz and Zak didnt have franchise type years, just good for a rookie. Either would not have did as well if they were on our team for the whole year. I just looked at Zaks stats, 4 interceptions and 6 rushing TDs, I am quite impressed.

I dont serious think they draft a QB at 3. That is the best way to lose your job, make a mistake at the top of the draft. Draft the best player available and then look at whats left, reaching for a top QB that high is dumb. I have heard several people mention C.J. Beathard as a possible middle round prospect that could hit. His college career hasnt shined because of poor peers around him. Anybody know more about him?

Our options: not much in FAgency trade for one, Jimmy G. or Glennon? keep Cutler another year? ( that boat has sailed) draft one high? ( none rated for the third overall pick) draft one later and try to develop? probably our only option. Hoyer will be our bridge , but we have to have a prospect to develop Does anyone think Connor Shaw has a future?

we like mocks that follow our line of thinking, truth is, 95% of mocks are wrong I do not think I seen one mock last year that had us taking Floyd.
-
Actually Miller is good at what he does evaluating players , hes just throwing a bone out there. First of all the guy has said he is not coming out, secondly, he has all the measurable s but needs more experience.
-
With Cleveland and SF in front with both QB needs plus, Houston,Denver,Buffalo, Jets, all could try to trade up to get one, we are sitting pretty to get Garrett or Allen my preferred choice.
-
We get what we deserve, 1 playoff in 10 years
-
He woll get what the market bears, dont think he will big money since he hasn't been playing.
-
Peppers is supposed to be a stud but production didnt show that, more of a SS. I think FS would be a better game changer position

Garret, and Allen are the two best players in the draft, if either come to 3 its a no brainier. Here is GBNs big board I would probably take Humphrey next on the list. Now if they think one of those 3 QBs are worthy, just take him but by all reports there more late round valve or early second. Otherwise, I would prefer to trade back but not out of the top 10, where I would grab Jamal Adams or Cam Robinson. Also, I would consider talking for Jimmy G/QB but not really with the first round pick unless we trade back a bit. *Myles Garrett DE 6-5, 265 Texas A&M Jonathan Allen DE 6-3, 290 Alabama *Jabrill Peppers SS 6-0, 210 Michigan *Len Fournette RB 6-1, 230 LSU *Mitch Trubisky QB 6-3, 225 North Carolina *Marlon Humphrey CB 6-1, 200 Alabama *Malik McDowell DT 6-5, 285 Michigan State *Teez Tabor CB 6-0, 200 Florida *Deshaun Watson QB 6-2, 210 Clemson *Jamal Adams FS 6-0, 210 LSU *Dalvin Cook RB 5-11, 205 Florida State Reuben Foster LB 6-0, 240 Alabama *Mike Williams WR 6-2, 205 Clemson *Zach Cunningham LB 6-3, 230 Vanderbilt *Cam Robinson OT 6-6, 320 Alabama *Christian McCaffrey RB 6-0, 205 Stanford *John Ross WR 5-11, 190 Washington Tim Williams OLB 6-3, 255 Alabama (O) *DeShone Kizer QB 6-4, 230 Notre Dame *Derek Barnett DE 6-3, 265 Tennessee (X) OJ Howard TE 6-6, 250 Alabama *Sidney Jones CB 6-0, 180 Washington *JuJu Smith-Schuster WR 6-2, 215 Southern California *Carl Lawson DE 6-2, 255 Auburn (X) Desmond King CB 5-10, 200 Iowa Dan Feeney OG 6-4, 310 Indiana *Solomon Thomas DE 6-2, 275 Stanford *Bucky Hodges TE 6-6, 245 Virginia Tech *Lowell Lotulelei DT 6-2, 310 Utah *Malik Hooker FS 6-2, 205 Ohio State *Charles Harris DE 6-3, 255 Missouri *Adoree Jackson CB 5-11, 185 Southern California *Vita Vea DT 6-4, 330 Washington Dorian Johnson OG 6-5, 300 Pittsburgh *Brad Kaaya QB 6-4, 210 Miami *Marshon Lattimore CB 6-0, 195 Ohio State Dawaune Smoot DE 6-3, 255 Illinois *Raekwon McMillam LB 6-2, 240 Ohio State *Budda Baker FS 5-10, 195 Washington *Ryan Ramcyzk OT 6-5, 310 Wisconsin (X) Marcus Maye SS 6-0, 210 Florida (X) Evan Engram TE 6-3, 230 Mississippi Eddie Jackson SS 6-0, 195 Alabama *Caleb Brantley DT 6-2, 300 Florida *Rod Johnson OT 6-6, 310 Florida State Justin Evans FS 6-0, 205 Texas A&M Charles Walker DT 6-3, 305 Oklahoma (X/O) Jake Butt TE 6-5, 250 Michigan (X) *Isaiah Ford WR 6-2, 190 Virginia Tech *Cody O’Connell G/T 6-4, 355 Washington State *Samaje Perine RB 5-10, 230 Oklahoma (X) Cordrea Tankersly CB 6-0, 195 Clemson *Mason Rudolph QB 6-4, 235 Oklahoma State Carlos Watkins DT 6-2, 300 Clemson Corey Davis WR 6-2, 215 Western Michigan Ethan Pocic C 6-5, 310 LSU Bryan Cox DE 6-3, 260 Florida Jeremy Sprinkle TE 6-5, 255 Arkansas *Malachi Dupree WR 6-2, 190 LSU Demarcus Walker DE 6-2, 275 Florida State Seth Russell QB 6-3, 220 Baylor (X) Tre’Davious White CB 5-11, 195 LSU DeDe Westbrook WR 5-11, 170 Oklahoma Pat Elflein C/G 6-2, 300 Ohio State Devonte Fields OLB 6-3, 245 Louisville (O) *Travis Rudolph WR 6-2, 190 Florida State Jourdan Lewis CB 5-10, 180 Michigan Conor McDermott OT 6-7, 310 UCLA *Dominick Sanders FS 6-0, 190 Georgia *Wayne Gallman RB 6-0, 205 Clemson (X) Chris Wormly DT 6-3, 305 Michigan Chad Wheeler OT 6-5, 310 Southern California *Anthony Walker LB 6-1, 235 Northwestern Chad Kelly QB 6-2, 225 Mississippi Cameron Sutton CB 5-11, 190 Tennessee (X) *Darren Carrington WR 6-2, 195 Oregon (O) Kendell Beckwith LB 6-2, 255 LSU (X) Deatrich Wise DE 6-3, 290 Arkansas Mitch Leidner QB 6-3, 230 Minnesota Ike Rochell DE 6-3, 290 Notre Dame Johnny Caspers OG 6-3, 300 Stanford Daeshon Hall DE 6-5, 260 Texas A&M Greg Pyke OG 6-4, 315 Georgia *Elijah Qualls DT 6-1, 320 Washington Travin Dural WR 6-2, 195 LSU Corey Clement RB 5-11, 220 Wisconsin Jarron Jones DT 6-5, 315 Notre Dame Davis Webb QB 6-3, 230 California Montravious Adams DT 6-2, 310 Auburn Damontae Kazee CB 5-10, 195 San Diego State Adam Bisnowaty OT 6-5, 300 Pittsburgh Johnathan Ford SS 5-11, 205 Auburn Takkarist McKinley DE 6-2, 260 UCLA Hardy Nickerson LB 6-0, 235 Illinois Kareem Hunt RB 5-11, 225 Toledo Chidobe Awuzie CB 5-11, 205 Colorado Zay Jones WR 6-0, 200 East Carolina Ryan Anderson LB 6-2, 255 Alabama Julien Davenport OT 6-6, 315 Bucknell Jalen Reeves-Maybin LB 6-0, 230 Tennessee (X) *Marcus Williams FS 6-0, 195 Utah Josh Carraway DE 6-3, 250 TCU

My take on direction of the Bears. I accept Fox for stability but do not like all that he does. Motivates players but game day weaknesses. i agree McCoy would be a step up but still remains a question as to his availability to be a OC. I agree we need to add some better FAs and we have money. First we should resign Jeffery, no reason to let a talented player leave when we have the money to practically do what ever we want. I think we will spend money on one expensive FA. I would prefer someone in the backside of the defense our biggest weakness. We need a playmaker so Berry, T. Johnson some others to consider are A.J bouye/CB/Houston- Tony Jefferson/S/Ari-Gilmore/CB/Buf. All upgrades to our team. I think then we add middle valve players like last year as Hicks, Freeman,Travthen. Some names to consider to upgrade: As I mentioned in the back of the defense----Gilmore,Jefferson,Bouye are players in this category Campbell/DE his age will make him less expensive Ingram( as you have mentioned) K.Short/DT ( he may command to much money, but he can play inside or outside and is a play maker) D. Poe/DT ( he would be a ungrade but may be to expensive) T. Pryor/WR ( if we dont resign Ashton) I think Massie has improved his game enough to not make RT a big as a need. We need to upgrade the LT position and the draft is weak. Riley Rieff and Matt Kahil are available but not exactly the top of the food chain but could be a upgrade. I think at TE Brown, Baunecker, and will Miller back could be enough but may still need to draft a TE prospect, a strong draft for that position. The QB spot the sensitive spot. Cutler still may be our best option at QB but probably we just need to move on and start fresh. FAgency options at QB are slim: Maybe grab Glennon/TB or trade for Jimmy Garoppolo ( I think our best option) The draft can bring us one of three top prospects for the third pick, but I think for that spot they would be over drafted, but it they deem one to be a franchise QB, they should take him. Otherwise find a QB they like that would go in the 3rd or 4th round and try to develop him while Hoyer, Barkley and Shaw hold down the fort or emerge as a starring caliber option going forward. Lets say we get Trumain Johnson, Tony Jefferson, and K. Short in FAgency then draft: I would say draft Allen or Garret if there otherwise try to trade back ( in this senario) with Cleveland that grabs Garret and then trades up for QB. we get 10- 2nd round and 3rd round picks this year. 1-10 Cam Robinson/LT 2-1 Malik Hooker/FS 2-2 Bucky Hodges/TE 3-1 Brad Kayaa/QB 3-2 Kevin King/CB 4-1 Isiah Rocnell/DE 4-2 Derek Rivers/OLB I leave it there for now.

Some good points but no way were buying Campbell, Berry and Johnson. I see one from those names. Berry and Johnson are getting lots of money that we have but will not buy both. If we get one were doing good. O.J. Howard will not make it out of the first round. If we are desperate for a QB, I guess we could use the first round to pick him but I think the top 3 are lower first round quality that will be over drafted. I think take the BPA at one and grab a prospect in the next few rounds if they find one they like. We have to get at least one high draft pick with Safety and hopefully grab Johnson in FAgency.

I think the biggest thing to be concerned with is his only one year of production. No QB with only one year of success has ever been a difference maker at the next level. I got that information listening to Greg Gabriel on the SCORE. He is a former scout and does analyze with the SCORE, and pro football weekly.

Picking a QB at 3 when he rates out as a late first or second is what gets GMs fired. You will find a prospect worth the valve where you pick them. Last year it was Goff, Wentz, and lynch. They all may prove out to be good, but anybody see a franchise QB among them, probably not.
-
He's find and should play like a normal game. If you havent noticed they have not been giving him a huge load anyways. 18-17-18 in his last three games. Just play him and let him get something he can be proud of later in his career.
-
There are things I do not like about Fox but he aint going anywhere. There not going to keep doing a carousel of HCs and GMs. They need to stabilize the regime and at least give it another year to find its place. We have a shitty record but our team was bare of talent when they took over. The Bills had players in place for Ryan and he didnt produce, so they got rid of him. Different set of circumstances.
-
If they find someone they like and he is rated a 3rd round pick, we dont need to be picking him in the first round to appease history. There are question marks on all the top 3 but all have higher ceilings. We have to draft a QB this year to start the cycle. If they like one of the top 3 then they will have to take him up there otherwise they will all be gone by the second.
-
I think the first two QBs taken will be Tribisky and Watson and will be gone before pick 22. Kizer I think goes in the first round but is the third QB taken. We will have to grab a prospect later in the draft.

This is the nice thing about FF, you dont fare well and still can be in the money. I drafted with the idea of going heavy on WRs, Bechum, Jeffery and Nelson. As you can see that did not fare well for the season but they all kinda of got back to what was expected of them. There were many better teams than me in the league, but the charm of FF is you still get a shot. Thanks for the running the league , I know its a hassle sometimes, but you do a good job of keeping it real. This has been a bad year for me in fantasy, but I have been having success in Daily Fantasy Leagues. I usually win money in 3 of 6 leagues and this is the only won I did that in. There are a lot of smart people in this league, it is easily the most difficult to succeed in. Thanks to everybody for the competition.
-
You list some good names, but I dont think Watson will be there in the second round. Kizer, Tribisky, and Watson will all go in the first round. I think the trade scenario is realistic but then I already suggested that trade in the other post. I dont know anything about Baker, but will have to check him out. The DE Tanoh will never last until the 5th round, hes probably a 2nd rounder.

Allen just has the tools, is very inaccurate, but probably can get better. He is not coming out this year, but someone to think about in the future. He would benifit from another year of college ball. I dont think any QB is worthy of the #3 spot, so grab the best player available and then draft a prospect with 3 or one of the 4s. So far Im thinking Cooper Rush/CMU, he is accutate and has good size. I havent started to look at prospects yet, but he has some tools. Plus could be got with a 3 or 4th round pick.
-
We have to take the BPA, which will be Garret or Allen. I personally would like us to trade down a bit and grab Jamal Adams/FS. I would think Clev grabs Garret, but may want a QB of which we can get the 10th pick plus there 2nd and 3rd round picks. I know that may be a pipe dream.

This QB class doesnt have a player that rates that high. Yes there may be drafted in the top 5 but there talent and upside is maybe first round status. There is potential 3 starters out of this class, Trubisky, Kinzer, and Watson. They all have big question marks for that high of a pick, but the position merits over drafting. I dont think any are franchise type QBs but they could end up being good starters down the road. I think we draft the BPA with the first and 2nd then get a QB prospect in the 3rd or 4th. Someone like a Falk or Rudolph.
