  1. I think they will run the ball more but will be more of a balanced attack. Of the 4 you named, which one fails? which turns out to be average? and which two are studs? History tells us this will happen, I think Beasley is the one that fails, Gregory is average and the two studs are Ray and Fowler. What say you.
  2. They seem like they know what there doing, but if there plan doesnt work, we can chase them out of town too. Im hoping for the best.
  3. We have money to spend, and we need to add to our core with youth , draft is our future, but remaking the roster thru FA is also part of the plan. As long as we keep getting younger and spend money wisely, Im all in on the new regime. In FA we have to spend so much of our cap, so to think the draft is our only option thats not realistic , Im excited to see what Pace does.
  4. I couldnt help but dream a little, , we make one significant signing, I guess its who we think makes the most sense. Your draft order makes sense.(thought you liked Harold? you were the first to mention him)
  5. Re making the roster has started and what we know as of this day, my new plan: QB- one more year for Cutler and not a lot of choices. Claussen , nothing to get excited about, maybe a drafted QB in our future? Grayson/CSU-4th round-maybe can become something one day. WR-BM gone-Jeffery, a very good #2-Would want to get Cobb and then add Cooper/ with the first round(124 catches-2014) now we have something. RB- Will make the call of Forte being traded for a 4th round pick-bring in Mark Ingram and draft Duke Johnson as a CJ Spiller type of option in the 3rd. TE- We have a beast in Bennett- bring in Virgil Green for a #2. OL- Plan the future now and move Long to LT-Bushrod to RT and bring in Clint Boling as a mid priced FA to play RG-draft a center in the 6th round-BJ Finney DE- Houston coming off injury is the best fit to be a 3-4 DE-NT is filled with Ratliff and Ferguson-bring in a mid level signing Orlick/Miami-draft Harry Anderson/Stanford NT -see DE summary OLB- lots of options on the roster but are they any good? Bring in Skuta, a cheap addition to Fangio defense-draft Harold/Virg in the-2nd round- Young fills the other spot when heath returns. I think David Bass takes a step forward. ILB- Hope Jones and Bostic take a step forward-bring in Nate Irving an inexpensive option to add to the mix S-Bring in Searcy and Moore as mid level contracts to upgrade with Mundy and Vereen as the backups CB- Fuller takes a step forward and Jennings mans the slot corner spot- bring in Perish Cox to be the other corner. free agents:Ingram-Cobb-Green-Boling-Green on offense free agents: Orlick-Skuta-Irving-Searcy-Moore-Cox-Skuta on defense draft: #1 Cooper/WR #1 type WR #2 Harold/OLB could be a good one #3 Johnson/RB speed and quickness #4a Anderson/DE-DT versatile big man #4b Grayson/QB maybe some day a NFL QB #5 Ellis McCarthy /NT from UCLA fat guy NT #6 B J Finney center of the future #7 Robert Myers/OG Tenn ST
  6. It really is hard to say what mix would work the best for long term success. Im all in for bringing in better players and let the coaches make them a competitive team again.
  7. http://chicagofootball.com/2015/03/06/hub-...action/a360rmf/ more opinions to review.
  8. Then we are on the same page. You think we will make a big FA signing, I think we do a bunch of mid level and bargain shopping, we do differ on that.
  9. I find valve is what ever way someone lives their life that makes them happy. He also put his house up for sale. ( Does he know something we dont?)
  10. that would be the best scenario.
  11. So you honestly believe we can make a playoff run next year? Sure if we live in fantasy land, grab McCourty , Suh, Cobb, etc, and have an awesome draft, ta da, SB contender. We sucked last year and only have a handful of core players, it is going to take 2 to 3 years. That is reality you dont seem to be comfortable with.
  12. I trust Pace and Fox will make this a very good team, but there decisions are going to look to the future not next year. Lets find building blocks for the next couple of years and if that means next year sucks, so be it. They were 5-11 this year, and I think with some new players and good coaching staff, we should make that or beat that, but think we were that bad,we need to look do a complete rebuild and will take more than one year.
  13. Hey I dont think the team for 2015 is better without him,but I think if the plan is to rebuild this team into a year in year out playoff contender, the new regime is looking to the future and am preparing for being good 2 to 3 years from now not next year. I dont think Pace and Fox read all the media crap about Marshall and made their decision to move on with out him, I think they did there own investigation and made there decision of what is best for the future of the team. Fact is they traded him, that should go along way on suggesting what is real and what isnt.
  14. You have to say one thing about our new regime, that are quite tight lipped in there intentions of roster changes. They informed BMs agent a week and a half ago that they would not be bringing him back, and it all blew up yesterday.
  15. McCourty 68 Ts-6 PD-2 INT-1FF age-27 Moore 49 5 4 2 age-25 Searcy 65 5 3 1 age-26 McCourty is a very good player, but I dont see the big dropoffs for the other two names I mentioned. Moore was coming back from an injury from the year before and was not up to full speed yet, so I think he has the greatest upside of the 3. Searcy played FS but is said to be better if playing in the box. With the best DC in football, I see great upside for all three is they come here. I would absolutely rather have the 2 instead of McCourty.
  16. Im all in on the (burn the house down) line of thinking, but think with the signing of Claussen means we keep Cutler this year. I think if they planned to change QBs, we would have pursued a better option at QB.(bad year for that) Although I can see Forte gone with someone wanting him for like a 3rd, or 4th. We save lots of money and find our RB for the future all with one stroke.
  17. Here is an article that suggests reasons BM is gone. http://www.chicagotribune.com/sports/footb...0306-story.html

    2 for 1

One of our biggest needs are at safety. McCourty is the top rated and will go for 8-10 mil a year. From what I have read Moore will carry a 4-5 mil contract and another name I like is Searcy from Buffalo who will carry a 4-5 mil contract. So why not fix the safety position for years to come with 2 young upgrades instead of grabbing McCourty? I think someone already suggested this just couldnt find the thread it was in.
  19. OK thats 2, do you really think those that dont like him are going to go viral with their disdain for him? I work on a big job, our company has 16 men there. Ask those 16 if they like the foreman, not many voices in the crowd. if they would have a silent vote to get rid of him, 12 would vote him out. Point is, most people dont voice there opinion out loud, but would get rid of him if given the chance. BM doesnt have the support most of his teammates, that doesnt mean everybody doesnt like him. I read everything I can about the Bears, if you check it out, you will find from people( media) that have been in locker room and have relationship with players ,he doesnt carry much support. He is one of top 10 WRs in the league, yet 3 teams dumped him, you think that is because everybody likes him?
  20. I think there was a little more to it, like the leader of there defense.
  21. show you how I think, I thought it meant fu*k off
  22. He will get his shot, its a new regime that owes nothing to anybody, but you cant not bring in new players on the hope he turns out good. He may never be a good player, we need options.
  23. Last year the team need leaders and one we should have looked too was Lance, but what did he do? didnt give a shit, got out of shape, sneak out of the locker room when Marshall started his rants. He's done here and wont be playing anywhere, he just dont care enough to get his act together.
  24. I understand your points, but he was disliked in the lockerroom. Give me the list of those that supported him? All I have heard is the ones that didnt want him around. Seattle got rid of Harvin because he was destroying the harmony on the team. As soon as he left they started winning again and made it to the SB. He was a great WR but he dragged the team into chaos. One problem was a lack of leadership, from the players and also from the coaches. He took that role and you see the results of a nutjob being your leader,5-11.
