  1. ON such a happy day, I dont want to throw in the insane possibility he could be our next HC.

    Next Year

I dont think its really going to matter, this is a minimal 2 year if not 3 year fix. When we get some draft picks that matter and some of the big money free agents are done, then we can worry about the schedule. Let me repeat next year is a wash, nobody is going to come in here and work a miracle with this roster.
  3. After he got his big contract he had to much power and helped screw up the draft after the super bowl year.
  4. I guess as a GM but have final say on personal, let the coach hire his own assistants.
  5. We need someone whoever it is that has a presence in the locker room, make people be responsible for there actions. A strong personality. Ditka like, but hopefully not as insane.
  6. Hopefully Emery is gone, I prefer someone else making the picks.
  7. I loved Ditka when he was here, but he has turned into a bubbling idiot. He supported Ray Rice, Peterson, and says some of the stupidous comments in football today.
  8. I think we need to hire Shanahan as our chief, and have him hire a defensive minded coach. Bowles, Ryan or Del Rio would do me just fine.
  9. Phillips can keep his job as an account but have no say so on hires. The reason I want Emery gone is not his drafts but him choosing Trestman over Airians, paying Cutler, Marshall, Allen. Those 3 are guaranteed 38.5 mil. for next year. He has made some franchise killing decisions for the next few years. He hit on a few draft picks but has more bad that good.
  10. his leadership this year doesnt appear to have an effect on a lousy team. He needs to be gone, De La Puente is in place to take over, 5 years younger and already signed for next year.
  11. having everybody gone is only the first step, getting it right going forward is the key.
  12. I think Shanahan could come in an over see operations and hire a defensive head coach, Bowles is the first name to come to mind, then I would have to throw in Del Rio would be next on my list. He has previous experience some success and being in Denver may have given him a perspective on the balance of good defense and good offense.
  13. It was Bowles that runs the defense not taking away Arians present as a leader. Lovie was never a head coach before so if someone wants head coaching experience, that doesnt compare.
  14. So diod he park cars or was the washroom attend. Nothing you stated was a suprise.
  15. I agree, that had to come from Emery. We have a younger guy in place in De La Peunte, this is just so Bears of the current regime. Lame Lame Lame
  16. I think they clean house on all the coaches, and bring someone in to insert to over see football operations and keep Emery in a lesser power role. I prefer him gone, but probably wont happen. I think to key to all of this is to strike right away an hour after the game is over with. It they pussy foot around like usually the same kind of crap will happen again.
  17. I simply want someone running the football aspect of the Bears to make that decision, has to be new voices. There is not any options that could be better than Cutler, if the new football czar chooses to keep him around for one more year while we completely change the dynamic of this once proud franchise. Im all in on completely redoing everything, but that may not be the best way to do ala the new czsars decision to make not mine.
  18. I agree with that, he has sucked the last two years, had some good years, but kind of a pud outside of football, still a Bear to have memories with.
  19. Why would Trestman care, he knows he's gone. The worst case scenario for this awful year is Cut;er throws for 4 tds, 330 yards and gets hurt on the last play of the game but we still win. thusly going from #7 to #12 in the draft.
  20. He took over a team with a ton of talent, doesnt make him special as a coach. We need to get it right this time.

    Clausen 2.0

Claussen didnt do anything special, just didnt look terrible. I am off the Cutler bandwagon but there will be not much in options. We might find someone that wont turn the ball over as much, which would be better, but terrible choices is he leaves.
  22. your spot on, I dont care if they keep Phillips and make him the bookkeeper but take any power away from him for football operations. We need George to turn the franchise over to and not necessarily Holgrem (dont care if I spelled it right). In Phillips watch he doubled the worth of the Bear Dynasty but just isnt a football guy.
  23. To add fuel to the fire, just heard on the Score that that scenario is very possible but with a twist, just heard that part of the trade we would have to give a high draft pick ( a second) to a team taking Cutlers salary to offset the cost. So (this is my injection into the statements made) Lets say to Tenn we give a second and Cutler for a 4th rounder to make the deal work. Adam Schefter reported one football executive stated that for teams to take on Cutlers salary we have to give a high draft pick to boot. IF that is the case screw trading Cutler, why not just cut him , live with our mistake and get a football czar in here to clean up this trainwreck which is the Bears.
  24. thats not going to happen, Clausen isnt very good.
