your spot on, I dont care if they keep Phillips and make him the bookkeeper but take any power away from him for football operations. We need George to turn the franchise over to and not necessarily Holgrem (dont care if I spelled it right). In Phillips watch he doubled the worth of the Bear Dynasty but just isnt a football guy.

Rumor: Bears / Titans Reach Agreement on Cutler
Stinger226 replied to DABEARSDABOMB's topic in Bearstalk
To add fuel to the fire, just heard on the Score that that scenario is very possible but with a twist, just heard that part of the trade we would have to give a high draft pick ( a second) to a team taking Cutlers salary to offset the cost. So (this is my injection into the statements made) Lets say to Tenn we give a second and Cutler for a 4th rounder to make the deal work. Adam Schefter reported one football executive stated that for teams to take on Cutlers salary we have to give a high draft pick to boot. IF that is the case screw trading Cutler, why not just cut him , live with our mistake and get a football czar in here to clean up this trainwreck which is the Bears. -
thats not going to happen, Clausen isnt very good.

I like to hear people be honest

Mariotta will never be an elite Qb in the NFL. One stat will tell you his limit on success at the next level. On passes of over 15 yards he is 11 for 31. If you cant make accurate throws down field, he will end up being Ryan Fitzpatrick.

He is a sophomore can he be in this draft?
-
I dont think we need to worry about them winning, they could easily lose out. There that out of whack. As a present and future Bears fan, I want a high draft pick.

I havent been on here much during the season, am caught up i FF and Draftkings betting. Instead of going through all these threads to catch up, will just share my thoughts here. The Bears are just bad, all the optimist of last year and the offseason has took a nosedive. They still could make the playoffs if they win out, but odds are that are slim to none. Trestman has lost his team and the great offensive mind is coaching scared. Cutler is just a turnover prone QB with a great arm and questionable decisions. The one bright spot is Matt Forte, enough said there. Were no longer playing downfield, now in to the dink and dunk formation with a 25 million dollar QB. Defense has moments but have lousy LB play, a on again off again DL. The safeties are terrible, and all of the bad affects the play of ok CBs. Coaching has flown south, we need to lose out to at least get in better draft position, but will go 8-8, 7-9 and be forever mediocre. Emery has made some descent decisions but has plenty bad to go with it. It starts with who hired Emery(need to go), the coach, everything needs to be redone. Its not going to happen but we need a football czar type to be brought in and blow everything up. None of this will happen, so we will long suffer with mediocrity. We have some talent to start with but need 3 years of good drafts to right this ship, and I dont trust Emery to do that. I hate to align myself with the TTs and Grzzlies of this website, but Im agreeing with alot of the negative side of the Bears.

I dont find that to be true, listen to the score quite a bit and besides being entertained, I find some good insight. They have to fill hours of time everyday and do have some lame stuff come out of there mouth, but to blanket that all sports radio guys are idiots, says a lot about you.

We dont need retreads we need to let the young guys play and give us a future, no future with Benson.

I ve been playing DraftKings, very similar to Fanduel. Im ahead but had a bad week,Its a lot to do with Luck, actually played him- never went off.

This never a good thing when your LT comes up limping.

Just heard...2015 NFL draft going to Chicago
Stinger226 replied to madlithuanian's topic in Bearstalk
I actually announced that a few months ago, the problem was we didnt get it untill today. so much for paying attention. -
Yes that word works too. My point about BM is that with him not being healthy, the flow of the offense is disrupted. He is Cutlers safety net , when he doesnt get open, and other teams dont double him, it takes Culter out of his comfort zone. Bennett is having a better year but only because of the injury to Marshall.

For all the fans that the sky is falling, get your thumb out of your mouth and be real. The fact is were not a good team or a bad team. I thought from the beginning of the season we would be 7-9 to 9-7 and looking bad against the Packers havent changed that . Injuries have already affected us. Brandon Marshall is the catalyst to this offense, and until he is healthy we will sputter. Two OL out, the others have filled in well. Two DL out which has caused a lack of pass rush which put our DBs in jeopardy. We have filled Peanuts role but where the problem now is the nickelback spot . Our offense will give us victories and defense will take some away. If we can get healthier, we still could go 10-6, but not likely. We will go down to the wire, on a playoff spot, and hopefully we grab one. Relax

give him a break the great McCown got hurt.
-
It has to be over for him, hurt the last two years.
-
Are we the team that lost to Buffalo or the team that beat SF? I think somewhere in between. It will be a roller coaster ride all year, so enjoy the ride.
-
The fact this thread is running is quite lame. Why do some people always want something else. Cutler is a better QB but he has issues. McCown will not survive the starting row by the end of the year. He had an exceptional run last year, but is who he is. Lovie isnt looking so hot either. All of you past lovers need to let it go and like who we got instead of dreaming about what we dont have.
-
I listen to the score alot and I remember somebody saying that because of the lack of hitting in pre season, that some teams just arent ready to go the first game of the season. It appears to have happened to us.
-
Finally your starting to be more positive
-
I havent been on here for a while and havent read the full thread, but let me say, Cutler is who he is, once in awhile he will do the stupid stuff. He could be great on a talent level, but the brain doesnt allow him to do that. So what we have is a good QB that screws up once in the awhile. The key is to win more games that we lose and will have to see how he contributes to that, its just one game. Anybody on here that thinks McCown is a better QB is an idiot. I havent read the responses so that is intended to anybody in particular, he played his potential in the first game. He was a one year wonder.

its not even a thought, always play the better player, elderman

good and bad thats what rookies do
