  1. I am not speaking to here, I dont remember what everyone wanted, Im on X. Lots of people calling for Poles to trade Herbert because we werent using him. Poles trades him and now their complaning because they didnt get enough. He had no valve ,all these dreamers that thought someone was given us a 4th or 5th round pick was unrealistic. I think it comes down to some people just complain and are never satisfied. I wanted to keep him for a depth piece, more value for a team trying to win.
  2. Everyone has a right to be critized and we can guess on what the play call is, whether Caleb changed it. whether Kmet is the first read, 2nd, or 3rd. I would say he probably isnt the first read on all of those plays . Now also is the DCs taking away the middle of the field because CW struggles on outside plays a lot. OCs usually do game plans attacking defenses. Washington and Arizona both have lousy CBs. So did he develop the game plan to attack the outside? Execution is bad so hard to say who we blame for what.
  3. We actually dont know that, it could be CW looking for a big play. Is he envolved enough in the offense, absolutely not.
  4. I agree with that, players need to be accountable too. Its not all his fault but he is involved.
  5. Anyone can say what they want but realistically can we fix this? First a win this week could help a lot. Second injured players coming back wouldnt hurt. ( no control over that)/ Thrid, Flus aint leaving and I now think he should, how about Waldron? We have 2 options in the room Kerry Joseph and Tom Brown. Tom Brown has called plays in Carolina and was assitant HC with the Rams before that. I would say promote Tomas Brown to OC. 4th simplifly it for CW , he is talented but does he have too much on his plate for a rookie? According to his play, that would be a yes. 5th Flus turn over DC play calling to Williams and concentrate on being a HC. I think the biggest effect on this team would be to get injured players back. What say you
  6. I agree, the hangover from the Washington game has instilled a lack of cofidence and doubt. The savage media keeps up the chaos from that game. We have a snowball that is turning into an avalanche. How do we correct it?
  7. I wanted to make the playoffs this year and am disappointed. Was that asking too much in 2 and 1/2 yrs in a complete rebuild with a rookie QB? We probably have 3 top 50 picks, so reinforcements are coming but not now.
  8. If you watch the replays, Kmet is open many times and isnt getting the ball thrown to him. I get progression on routes but good QBs throw to open players and not into coverage. That's not on coaches. CW is making bad decisions, many times when rushed he didnt dump off to the outlet and held the ball to long. That is not by design. He is a rookie and deserves patience but everything is not always the coaches fault. Players need to be accountable too. Now we have injuries that effect everything offense. Wright is hurt, Jenkins is always hurt , Nate Davis is useless, we are down to 3rd string at LT. Billings, Sweat, Brisker, Gordon on defense eventually matters. We have a chance at home to go 5-4 but that is not a given. If we got bodies back can we go 4-4 the rest of the season? Unless CW actually starts playing well, I would say no.
  9. I was mad yesterday and bad mouthed everyone but the truth is our phenom QB is missing WRs, not throwing to open WRs, and holding the ball to long. Giving CW the whole playbook and letting him change plays was a bad idea. They should have did what they did in Washington, keep it simple. Moved the pocket with a beatup OL but instead they are developing the QB instead of worrying about winning . Watch replays of the game. Forcing development isnt working. That's what everyone wanted .
  10. We played bad that is on coaches and players. Listen to Olin Kreutz speak the truth on the SCORE on Audacy. At some point injuries come into play, 2 starters gone in the secondary, no Sweat(huge), Billings went out early. The OL affects everything on the offense. It is clear the blow up from the Washington game has lingered into this week. Flus has lost the team, he needs to be gone but as some suggested, CW development would not be benefited by throwing in a new coach. We just may be stuck with this until next year. We have to remember the most important need this year is to develop CW. Hopefully we picked the right QB. I have doubts now. We had the same talk last yr with Fields having a new play caller. Sometimes its the player.
  11. Im just pissed off right now, but he isnt playing well and that's not all on the coaching.
  12. Actually I am not being sarcastic. Im tired of this crap. I want all new. It takes me longer than you guys to get negative but I am now and its not pretty. We need to make everyone accountable , coaches coach(bad) and players play, we cant just blame this on coaches. Maybe tommorrow, I will think the other coaches can save CW but anyone saying he's playing well right now is lying to themselves.
  13. What I wanted to see is with the ClusterF last week, did it bring us closer together or they would quit on him. He needs to go , stated what I wanted in the game thread. Hoke/ HC Williams/DC Tom Brown/OC. Time to think about if we drafted the right QB, seems not to be the case to me. 2 bad games, missing WRs and holding the ball to long. Lets just have a fresh start next year, with new coaches and a new QB.
  14. I think the tean has given up on Flus, lackluster defense, another bad game by CW. I seen a commentator say that that Hail Mary can bring a team together or tear it apart. Guess what happened? Im all; in on letting him go now. Get rid of Waldron too. Tom Brown the QB coach has called plays in the NFL before. Make Williams the DC and have Jon Hoke be the new head coach. Also time to hold players accountable. CW has been bad in the last 2 games except for 8 minutes. He misses WRs and holds the ball to long. They say having a new coach going into his second year is tough on a young QB. Trade CW get some 1st round picks and have a new QB, new coach, new OC and start fresh next year with everyone on the same page. What say you?
  15. Andy Reid was passed up? Never heard that story before. Can I say if we win today we will have a 71% of being a wildcard. I think it was a ESPN guy said that. Not sure he looked at last 7 games.
  16. Yes never heard the rest of the story, WED and came back on the field. The bigger news is Sweat not playing, Brisker and Gordon out. The key to the game is CW actually having a complete game. If he plays like last week, late game hero wont always work. All that has been said this week it comes back to CW having a good game.
  17. I think anyone that has won that many SBs proabaly get more team friendly calls.
  18. On to other nonsense , i just heard that when Flus told Stevenson he was'nt starting, he left practice. I guess that would have been yesterday? Anybody else here that?
  19. You said it best when you said Flus doesnt give you a winning edge in a game. So if we won that game , you're saying everyone would still be talking about Flus game decisions? First of all the not calling a TO at the end of the game wont have been into play. He allowed Waldron to call the goaline play, that is on him but the team came right back and scored on their next series. Not sure that would be a large talking point. Now you always critisize Flus, Im saying that Bear fandom would not be obsessing with these plays in a negative way last last week was. Im not trying to make excuses for him, he still is our HC and just not calling for his job.
  20. Who is the best 5 that are able to play? Borom was bad last year but can get us thru a game. Just because we havent seen him we seem to forget. Had he not got hurt, I think he would have never made the 53 man roster. I think moving Pryor is our best option. Jenkins will start but thinking he doesnt play the whole game. If Bates isnt ready I think Kramer may take some snaps there. Hopefully Shelton stays healthy he has been more consistent than in his first few games. Unfortunitely Davis will need to play. If he wants to stay in the NFL, he needs to put good snaps on film. If Bates is ready, maybe here. Wright should be fine but the new roster Jack Curham will have to back him up or Borom if not starting on the left side. With all the negativity we went thru this week, we were one play away from hearing none of this. Fingers pointed every where but I think it was on Stevenson celebrating to early.( lost his focus), Heard one narrator say that had he been in the right position, ,Brown was his man, the ball would have been in front of him and he would have knocked it down. Instead of runnung from the side angle to the ball of which he tipped it up.
  21. I pulled off X, maybe it only shows if you have a X account. They are just the last two injury reports. 3 people ruled out for game are Kiran, Brisker, and Jones.
  22. If you're making the point he keeps making mistakes, yes, it comes down to winning. If we are winning, we over look mistakes, if we're losing every mistkae gets amplified. Time for a divorse, okay that probably wont happen until January. So lets be miserable for 2 months or try to fix it. If the team comes out flat, Flus will lose his job because clearly the players quit on him, no matter who you blame, that doesnt work. If we lose the next 2 games, I believe Poles may very well fire him, not sure who's next inline but it will be in house. I dont think he has lost the locker room, also that we will win and will can save this convesation for the next game.
  23. Actually they hired the Tennessee OL coach as his assistant. Don't remember the name. As far as putting Flus to bed, I'll use this example of a comparison. Let's say you and your wife went to a Halloween party and some drunk girl comes up puts her arms around you and gives you a kiss. Your wife sees it and the argument begins. You apologize and try to move on. The next week ( outside noise) friends keep bringing it up keeping the argument going all week. Does this help the relationship ( culture)? Does it divide you both ( team) or add to further turmoil? I just don't see what value it does to keep trying to demoralize the team?
  24. I've been a Bear fan since Butkus was drafted, felt the pain for so many years, i should have just changed teams but I'm loyal to a fault. Im just trying to find positive out of the anguish of watching week to week. i see what you guys see but he is the coach so I will try to be loyal. i did the same with Fields last year, dwell on the good but seen the bad. Once Fields was traded I bought in on CW. When Flus is gone I'll do the same thing. He's not gone yet.
