If Booker has 8 sacks this year, Im sure eveyone think that's a win. I think more important for anyone playing on that side is constant pressure, that will be a key on Sweat and the DTs creating chaos. In the two team practices we have 8 ints. Cosidering Gordon and JJ arent playing, that's great news as far as depth for the DB room. I dont think our questions on the DE spot and LT competition is going to be all out failures. I think BJ has raised the bar on the expected play at those positions. We have enough talent at other positions to absorb average play at those spots.

BJ expects better than he is getting from anyone. Is he wanting perfection? When you hear stories of other players playing well, you have no idea of the context of those statements. Does that look great compared to their competition? Like AZ said, lets see how they play week to week. It appears to be the problem for everyone not getting set quick enough to make their blocks. Can someone change that in two weeks? Average play is the floor (Braxton), so at least BJ expects better. We have 4 shots at the golden ring.

If they are considering playing Ozzy over Wright, that means they dont like what Wright is doing. No way they flip him. The new coaches dont look at where someone is drafted, just how they are playing at their spot. No one has grabbed their attention playing LT, so its choosing the least amount of mistakes. It appears they are giving Theo every chance to win the LT job. I would say Jones inconsistant play has him on his way out. They appear to not like the tape on Ozzy , he took no LT reps in practice yesterday. Could Theo be the LT and Ozzy the RT to start the season? That guess is as good as any.

If they dont like his play at RT, why would they flip him?

If no one has been singled out that means no one has been good enough. I think next week, he will pick someone and roll with it ,good or bad. How are you watching practice? Or just videos after the practice?

I have already bet 100 on draftkings website that was 8.5 line for wins. I am actually more confident now that I have seen what kind of coach BJ is. Will it have a rough start, yes, will it be rolling the second half of the season. I believe so. 10 oe 11 could be the ceiling. Gambling is always a risk, each game bets will be determined by how we progress thru the season. Now is not the time to bet games. Injuries always come into play through out a full season. Our team or our opponent. We will have a few disappointments and a few surprises over our schedule but you have to take in consideration, we are only going to get better as we go forward. IMO

We were a 5 win team last year with terrible coaching, a rookie QB, and dysfunctional OL. At some point the players quit on Flus. There was a few more wins we could have had .( Hail Mary) This year we have a 100% upgrade in coaching, 3 new starters on the OL, a QB with talent and added talent upgrade. To think we will win the same number of games as we did last year doesnt seem very logical. I think our floor is 9 and celing of 12?

Some good coaches play their players a lot in the preseason and some do not. I would prefer lots of reps but Im just a fan. This is BJs first year and we have to wait and see how it all turns out. I think it will be rough in the begining but by our bye week we should start to show progress. Week 5 is the bye week.

I to hope they play at least a half for starters. We need to start seeing what training camp has accomplished on both D and O. BJ is taking a lot of crap for not players starters, and I to wish they would have played but I trust him as he executes what his plans are. Its all about playing better in Sept now winning some preseason games.

Poles was on the SCORE today and didnt define the LT position but said Theo earned the chance to compete at LT. I think with this move and Ozzy taking snaps at RT, is just trying to motivate Braxton and Ozzy. Whoever wins out needs to get with the first team and get some continuity with the starters. Thuney will help with the LT position and they come scheme chip help if the LT spot is a problem. We have one of the starting LTs in the SB last year(Thuney) and the other starter was a 7th round pick by Philly in 2018. A former Rugby player that the Eagles developed into a LT. So as much as LT is important, the best in the league did not get their team to the SB. I think we now have a good OL coach and that we will see improvement at the LT spot. Poles has assembled a lot of talent on this team but unfortunately he waited until this year to take it seriously. I think they will settle on a LT (dont care who) and it will work out. I think depth was a big problem last year and it looks a lot better going forward. PFF has us rated as the 4th best OL, I hope they are right for a change.

If you can get past his ego and (Im the smartest guy in the room attitude), Phil does make some good points. BJ was always planning to play the starters in the second game. I had to turn it off when they say BJ corrected his mistakes by playing the starters this week.

I havent seen the tape on Theo from yesterday but respect your opinion. The fact they tried him there tells the story. They are still looking for more consistency from the LT,

Back to football. Clearly the Bears are not happy with the play of our first game. They are trying different players at LT. Theo Benedet took some snaps at LT yesterday. Kiran is healthy now so I expect him to take some snaps there. They are going to play the best player they have to choose from. I think this game will go a long way to who starts the first game of the season. Every rep counts, hopefully someone stands out. I think if no one does, Braxton will be put there .( a 3 yr starter) I dont care who it is as long as he plays well.

I was going to stay out of this and let someone else butt egos with you but since you brought my name up several times, you opened the door. You clearly always have to be right, how many times in our arguments did you throw in my face how right you were with Justin, Flus, so many to mention. I dont know how many times you stated how good you were at watching tape and how stupid I was for having a different opinion. You complain that Mongo got personal with the phycological stuff when you do it all the time with your personal insults. You are right it ok to have different opinions, but just like this argument you expose yourself . You make statements like (If im wrong, so be it) and (Im being super patient and respectful.) (And to the psychological stuff, I think it's enough of that -) You have to always try to control all arguments. I didnt play OL in college or am great at watching tape but have opinions based on what I notice. Every time I posted a former player , a former coach, or a football pundit, you always down played their difference of opinion, by saying ( how great you are at watching tape). Its ok to have difference of opinions but If you dont like it, you have to turn it into a 500 word essay on why you're right. It would be easier to just say I disagree and keep it civil on here.

I think they may have him be the swing tackle and will get snaps at both spots. I don't think Wright has competition. I think they may like Theo Benedet a lot to give him some time at LT. Also Kiran is back on the field.

I understand, and agree in both contexts and cant wait for his 500 word essay explaining why you dont understand what he is trying to say. Never read his long replays to answering anything , it is just repeated words he already used. My notation of Adam was just sarcasm on him having both positive and negative on the same subject. I try to fit humor in some of my responses but it doesnt always get noticed as humor.
