  1. That is a tv remote through the tv worthy draft right there. Also, we have a 6th rounder (swapped with the Bucs) and 3 7th round picks.

    Tate?

Tate was never considered a 1st rounder. However, he was rising up boards throughout the whole year, and before his injury, he was considered possibly the best SENIOR wideout. This was his breakout year, and he is a very good prospect. But with the injury, he's probably at best a 4th rounder.
  3. There isn't a chance in hell we trade all of our draft picks this year to move up 15 slots. Any trade involving us moving up would have us departing with a future pick or perhaps even a player.
  4. Cardinals, Steelers, Packers (x2), Vikings (x2), Eagles, 49ers, Seahawks, Ravens, and Falcons are mostly gonna be tougher games and far from sure things. If we lose to anyone, it better be a team on this list. That's 11 games, so if we can go at least 6-5 against these opponents, and win the games we should, we can go 11-5. We don't have the toughest schedule, but is is far from an easy one.
  5. Still, the Cardinals are a very dangerous team, and with their offense and our D not improving much, this game is far from an easy one. So, they are still much more improved and they have the draft to add more players. They played a lot better with Singletary calling the shots. A couple of points... it doesn't really matter who is the better team in these games, it's always a dog fight. Last year the Packers beat the shit out of twice, and in fact, I'm still trying to figure out how we won that 2nd game. We got our dicks kicked in. Also, the Packers aren't a whole lot different now then the Packers of 07. The switch to the 34 can't hurt and if anything, it will improve their offense, and they have an early draft pick. They are a threat next year, and it is being naive to think they aren't.
  6. We most assuredly have the ammo to move up into the early 2nd, but not much higher. It'd take our 2nd this year, a 3rd next year, and our 4th or 5th this year. However, I'd only like to see that if someone who should have gone much earlier falls, or if Nicks or Britt is there. And personally, I would not be in favor of trading up for Nicks or drafting Robiskie at all in the 2nd. If we sign Holt, and if we decided not to trade up for Britt or someone that feel, and Nicks or someone else we're targeting isn't there at 49 or would be a reach, I would love a trade down.
  7. Are you forgetting Arizona was the best team in the NFC last year? San Francisco will be much improved, and at Seattle is always tough, especially now if Jones and Hasselback are healthy. Then both Green Bay and Vikings games will be tough no matter what the records are. Plus, we have to face the Ravens and Steelers. We have far from an easy schedule.
  8. I'd love to get him. He's certainly not a long term answer, but he can be a solid stop gap while Hester develops learning from Holt, and we hopefully find our no. 1 within the next 2 years (whether it be a UFA next year or a draft pick this or next year).
  9. Maybe, if he'd sign for a really cheap 1 year incentive deal and stayed in line. I wouldn't hate it for a 1 year stop gap until we find our future no. 1.
  10. If Marshall wasn't such a POS of the field, I'd love to have him. I love the way he plays. But he is too much of a POS to be risking a huge contract on.
  11. I'm hoping Kenny Britt falls to our 2nd round pick for some reason. I doubt it happens, but that would be ideal. I should say him or Nicks actually. Robiskie and Iglesias are nice, but neither are anything special and I'd rather focus on something else with 49 then bring in a WR without much upside. I'd love to sign Holt, but that doesn't look like it's happening.
  12. Iglesias, Shaughnessy, and Vollmer are all bad to terrible picks. I love Vaughn and Francis, and would be ecstatic if we get them both in the 5th, but I highly doubt either of them make it past the 3rd round of the draft, especially Francis. The rest is just a crap shoot.

    Orton

I'll miss KO, and I wish him the best of luck in Denver. He might also be somewhat successful in McDaniels spread passing system. But Cutler is so much better, and a better fit for our offense.
  14. Ummm, cause Jay Cutler is far superior than Cassell.
  15. Also, I don't know if it has been mentioned, but Cutler grew up a big time Bears fan and of all the teams interested in him, he has said Chicago (and Tennessee, but they aren't interested) is his first choice (this is coming from an article a couple weeks ago).
  16. I want Pace and I want him to play LT, but I'd prefer to see Williams then play LG.
  17. What I'd offer: Our 1st and 3rd round pick this year, Kyle Orton, Corey Graham, and a conditional pick in 2010 that is for sure a 2nd rounder that can become a 1st rounder depending on how Cutler does. I wonder if that would interest the Broncos at all. Orton would just be a stop gap/competition, and Corey Graham is a decent man cover guy (probably the best CB we have in man coverage), and it'd most likely be 2 1st's and a 3rd as well. Hell, I wouldn't be surprised if they'd prefer Hanie over Orton. Also, it'd give us a leg up on Shanny if we do fire Lovie after this year.
  18. whoa whoa whoa, where is this coming from? Where in the world did I ever say Lovie is a racist? I know he is married to a white woman, so what? But that doesn't mean he can't think black people are still being "oppressed." Also, where did I ever refer to Lovie as a "brotha" or ever strictly refer to him by only his skin color? He's black, we get it. I really don't care, as long as he gets the job done. However, historically, minorities have been known to look after each other, and I just feel if Vick was white, he wouldn't be getting all the endorsements by Lovie. He is in no way an Al Sharpton, but that doesn't mean he doesn't share some similar trains of thought. However, this is getting pretty ridiculous and I regret bringing it up. It was a simple observation by me, and now I'm a racist and race baiter, which is complete bull. Lets just go back to the Bears and why or why not Vick would make sense.
  19. T.J. Lang is a guy to look out for in anywhere between the 3rd and 5th. Bears seem to really like him, and he seems like a solid prospect. He's a real good video by some pretty good draft analysts:
  20. I'll ignore the part about you calling me a racist, even if it was "tongue in cheek." As for the race part, I get the feeling that Lovie is one of those people who feel blacks and minorities need extra help in life, etc. I don't know, I could be wrong. I'm not saying he's racist or even if that's bad for him to look out for people of his race. Personally, I don't care what color you are as long as you are a decent human being. Also, I like how you are calling me a race baiter. That's just funny. If you want to see some real race baiters, why don't you look at Jessie Jackson or Al Sharpton? As for Vick paying his dues, puh-lease. Anyone else would have gotten a much longer jail term, but because he's Michael Vick, he was able to get a deal for practically 1 year. However, he does deserve a second chance, but first he has to prove that he has turned his life around. Just because he spent some time in jail doesn't mean he's a new person. Personally, for me, to allow him back in the NFL, he would have to spend 2 years out proving he is worty of being reinstated. He can spend those two years in the UFL with no incidents, and NFL Teams getting reviews from teammates and coaches, as well as him doing plenty of voluntery charity work and donations. Also, please don't compare me to PETA. I hate those idiots with a passion. They have the right idea, but just have no idea how to spread it. However, all this don't eat meat, and no testing on animals is just stupid. First, meat is delishous, part of the food chain, and I doubt any Peta people get upset about wolves in the wild killing little bunnies and eating them. Also, for the slaughtering part, it should be done the quickest way possible, no matter how nasty it may look. Also, testing on small animals is unfortunate, but it is a necessary thing to do to find out if new important products are safe. A human life is ALWAYS more important than an animals... Well, I guess depending on the human.
  21. I'd possibly prefer to see Pace at LT and Chris Williams shifted inside to Guard to develop before he takes over, arguably, the most important position on the field. Something like this would be solid: LT - Pace (backed up by Williams) LG - Williams (backed up by Beekman or Buenning) C - Kreutz (backed up by Beekman) RG - Omiyale (backed up by Garza or Buenning) RT - Shaffer (backed up by Omiyale) Still not as good as anyone of us would like it to be, but I'd feel a whole lot more solid then the line we've had the past two years. OR, if we feel Pace can't play LT anymore (I think he can though, only 2 sacks last year in 14 games!!!): LT - Williams (backed up by Shaffer or Omiyale) LG - Omiyale (backed up by Beekman or Buenning) C - Kreutz (backed up by Beekman) RG - Shaffer/Garza/Buenning RT - Pace (backed up by Shaffer)
  22. I personally feel Lovie's endorsement of Vick comes from the fact they both share the same skin color. Vick is a horrible human being. And until he proves otherwise, he doesn't deserve to be anywhere near the NFL. This guy pretty much killed dogs and raised more dogs to hate, just for money and fun... FOR MANY YEARS! He has a far way to go before he makes ammends for what he has done. A year in prison is laughable considering anyone who isn't very famous and a millionaire would get a whole lot more time.
  23. When is our private workout with him? If it's in two weeks or more, and he's back in shape, this is no concern. Also, he hasn't had a history of weight concerns that anyone knows about.
  24. I don't know why people always combine Byrd with FS. If we drafted Byrd, in this scheme at least, he would be a CB.
