  2. From your good friend db54. hehe linky linky2 The thing about Adam is that he never shows any work and he's putting out all 32 teams numbers. I trust someone whom I know, who concentrates on one team, and whom I know is quite familiar with the rules and does a lot of work to do his math.
  3. but, but, but... He's just another poster on a message board.
  4. Just to let you guys know. We have $2.9MM left after all the cuts.
  5. and like I said, it's sad that some people can't think for themselves and do a little bit of research.
  6. Guess what. I have the math worked out to prove it. All they have a single number that is very wrong. Again, it doesn't take a genius or someone "in the loop" (PFT in the loop, ahahahahahaha) to read the CBA, look at the contract numbers that are made available to anyone who wants them and is capable of doing a little 5th grade math. Apparently, you have to be an attorney, agent or even better, a media member (or glorified sports blog; congrats every decent one has broken some sort of news these days) to get it right though. So much for "seeing is believing," I guess we've moved onto "crappy sports sites with horrible contributors are verified media outlets, and I can't rely on widely available information to figure something out for myself."
  7. The contract numbers are made widely available to the public, as are the CBA and NFLPA contract rules and guidelines. Like I said, it's not rocket science if you do a little reading and research. BTW, PFT blows.
  8. No math shown=garbage. Probably missing the dead cap space or unamortized bonuses. I'm telling you, just read through those two links I gave you and you'll see the math is quite clear. It doesn't take a rocket scientist to go through step-by-step and see we have nowhere near 9MM left.
  9. Well, all accounts have some horrible math skills. Here's mine... linky The guy is off here and there with some of his calculations, but he has it very close. Some put us at about 200k under, I have it at closer to 700k. This one has us at 1.9 LINKY
  10. 1. We're not 9.2mm under the cap. We're less than 1MM under the cap. 2. Max being an overweight underachiever with poor work ethic is a well-known, well-documented fact. Go check it out for yourself. Just check out how he came into TC and the PS this year, being completely outplayed at his position (lost his spot to Colon) and the lack of effort he has put forth every day in camp. That is fat, lazy, and indifference (bad attitude) right there.
  11. Fat, lazy, bad attitude... Yet, still probably better than St.Clair. He won't fit under the cap though, so no point in speculating

    Usain Bolt

That's because it was a sport most thought was a waste of time and money for them to compete in. It was something no one knew about or even cared to learn about for that matter. Track is king in Jamaica, and he may be the best ever in the sport. You don't have to believe me, do some research on how the guy is treated like a god down there. Plus the bobsledders sucked, so the comparison is quite flawed when you look at history of the events in each country as well as success in each case.

    Usain Bolt

Prize money, endorsements, and the sheer worth of all the gold he has won/will win. Plus the guy's a national freaking treasure to Jamaica, and gets anything he wants. He'll never have to work a day in his life, and though the Jamaican market and subsequent endorsements don't equal what he could get in America, it is the perks of being worshiped in your home country that makes the money add up. Seriously, guys like Bolt in countries like Jamaica don't ever have to worry about money. If he signs with an NFL team, I very much doubt he gets a big money deal, and will have to earn his way onto a squad by putting his body on the line every day. Why go through that when there is millions to be earned doing what you are already doing better than anyone else has ever done, with exponentially less concerns for health? Dix just signed a 4 year, 6mm deal with Nike and all he came home with were two bronzes. When his contract with Puma is up, just imagine the deal he is going to get regardless of what market he lives in.
  14. You know, other than that one play where he got murdered by Tapp, Tait has actually been pretty solid if you actually bother going over the two games. It makes sense though that people will let the one gosh awful play stand out while the solid ones go unnoticed even if it is the exception and not the rule.
  15. It's really not. It's a recommendation from the NFL as to how much a team should spend given it's picks, and an attempt to control rookie contracts by giving NFL teams some backing for negotiation by using the slotting system and calculated escalation of rookie salaries. Like I said, it's not a hard cap or even a cap really, that's why it's called the rookie pool, and not the rookie hard cap.
  16. The rookie pool is a soft cap. It is more of an advisement than anything. Teams go over it all the time in bonuses/escalators and the like, but tend to stay close to it more often than not.
  17. Him getting more than the first overall selection last year, while playing the same position is utterly stupid. Retarded isn't a word I use frequently, but Atlanta's management deserves this rare use of it.

    Greg Olsen

The fact that we took it really slow with him early on because of the knee injury didn't help his numbers much either, but it was the smart/only way to go with a guy like him. That's basically 4 games of missed production right there.
  19. Well, it's an EXTENSION, so it really should be looked at as a 6 year $15MM contract, which is much more reasonable. Plus it says "[t]he $15.5 million includes performance incentives," so not all of that money is guaranteed, but rather total possible sum, and I wouldn't doubt it if the deal is worth closer to 2 per with another mil worth of incentives that if reached, just proves it was a contract well-earned, and not a rip.
  20. Under Tackle. Used in the C2 in reference to the penetrating 3-technique tackle like Tommie (prototype 3 tech).
  21. QB- KO RB- Forte WR- Booker WR- Bradley TE- Clark RT-Tait RG-Garza C- Olin LG- ST. Clair LT- Williams TE- Olsen --2 TE because McKie is worthless, and our TEs should be a focal point and huge weapon on offense. LE- Oguns NT- Dusty UT- Tommie RE- Brown WLB-Briggs MLB-Urlacher SLB-Hx2 LCB- Peanut RCB- Vasher NB- McBride--Trade Manning Jr. for a FB or OG. FS- D. Manning--He has looked as good as anyone when playing next to Mike, and I honestly think he is by far our best option at FS. SS- Brown--Needs to stick at SS.
  22. If he gets another DUI, or in any big trouble for that matter, eight games will be the low-side of his suspension.
  23. To answer the original question. No, it means we are doing what every team should... bringing as many warm bodies at RB into camp as possible.
