  1. i predict the Bears will lose by 10 as the season will officially slip away. With one playoff spot open, it looks like Detroit is in the driver seat with New York hanging tough. The Bears are nothing but an after thought at this point.
  2. As smart as that may sound, management would never do that. Apparently they are very interested in picking up Josh McCown. Honestly, we need to go at worst 3-3 and i believe Hanie is capable of accomplishing that. @ Oakland (loss) vs KC (win) @ Denver (win) vs Seattle (win) @ Green Bay (loss) @ Minny (win) The Oakland, Minny games can go either way but I truly believe this team is still capable of going 11-5. This Oakland game will dictate how the rest of the season goes. If they win and go 8-3, they all but clinched a wildcard IMO.
  3. They just said on the score that he will have surgery on it tomorrow in Colorado.
  4. Didn't Bennett have issues with running routes last year? ANd i'm almost positive Hester will be the premier punt returner this year. You can never have so much depth at WR (ask GB). I say we add Jones and continue to improve our offense.
  5. Why don't we take a chance? He did a great job with GB when given the opportunity and he has a huge upside. He would look good next to Knox and Williams.

    So

Perhaps go to the gym and work out? Might as well be productive during the offseason! Because we all know. . its going to be a very looooooonnng one! Maybe even start being FAN GM and come up with ways to improve the team. For instance, help on the O-line and an ACTUAL wide reciever. None of this fake "Johnny Knox is a #1 recieiver" crap. We only have 1 true receiver and that is Earl Bennett. And on most teams- he would be a 3rd option at best. And we seriously got away with a super-glued Offensive Line. I am very surprised Cutler didn't tear his MCL earlier in the year, let alone is still alive.
  7. I'm calling it now. Dallas will beat Philly next week and Jason Garrett remains the Cowboys headcoach going into the 2011 season. Da Bears will then have the 2nd seed and bye locked up. That GB game will be tough and we can't expect Minny to help us tomorrow night. However, that would be sensational knocking them out of the playoff picture
  8. I predict Forte is going to run and catch for 150+ yards and the Bears will win 17-13.
  9. Im guessing he goes to SF with the 49th pick. NO WAY he falls to 75
  10. We still need to address our offensive line? Who is out there? Use our 3rd round pick on this? Will they trade Olsen for a higher pick to address the O-line? Why didn't they go after Bolden? Is someone else out there? I'm still not confident with our lack of a go-to recieiver. Knox has the highest cieling of them all, i think once defenses figure Aromashadu out, he won't be as good as people think, and Hester should just go back to returning kicks and punts. As far as the addressing the Defensive Back situation- I would LOVE bringing in Sharper. He wont be that expensive and we saw last year how much game he still has left in him. I'm excited, but we still have many holes to address. .
  11. The Bears could come home with 3 of the top free agents today. They are waisting little time!
  12. BREAKING NEWS: Manumaleuna signed with the Bears this morning according to Brad Biggs on 670thescore. He also mentioned that Peppers AND Chester Taylor are coming to town and WILL likely sign by this afternoon. Now what about defensive back situation?
  13. yep its a win-win situation with Martz. Cutler and our recievers are going to love this guy- our defense is going HATE this guy. Since we no longer have that top ranked defense, you might as well go into a high powered offensive system and attempt to win as many shootouts as you can. If it fails- so long Lovey and so long angelo and let the Cowher era begin!
  14. At this point you might as well go after a HUGE risk such as Martz. If it works out- great and the offense will be fun to watch, if it doesn't the Lovey-Angelo regime finally goes away and we start fresh in 2011 with a new coach, new system and new hope! Bring in Martz, lets have fun!
  15. Angelo has only drafted 5 offensive starters and 2 defensive starters over the last 3 drafts. . . pathetic! The whole Gaines Adams fiir our 2nd round pick was the final nail in the coffin IMO. As Boers and Bernstein AND HUB ARKISH have mentioned- they know a guy on the 'Inside' that wants them BOTH gone and they have 'already' reached out to Cowher and now perhaps Shanahan being the 'new secret team involved. . .' Tommorow- 2pm we will all know for good! If Turner is the sacrificial lamb- I'll be PISSED!
  16. How many seasons in a row have we played Philly? Wow. .

  18. Ditka was technically an 'assistant coach' for Dallas. He wasn't a sexy name, but I was implying he was the last cheap coach who worked. They need to go out and bring in a big name guy like Cowher- but like i said- they are too cheap. Unfortantatley Papa Bear isn't around to bring in the 'right cheap guy'.
  19. The Bears are way too cheap to eat 11 million. They also would never hire a new head coach that would require $10 mil/season such as Cowher. If look at all of their recent hirerings: all were defensive coordinators and were cheap. The last time somebody got it right was Papa Bear Halas. He fired Neill Armstrong when he was 86 years old to bring in Coach Ditka. Speaking of which Mike Imrem has a facinating article about that story and how he relates it to the Lovie Smith situation here. . . Its a Must Read!
  20. Lovie will stay. Bring in another O-cordinator, they will suck again. Lovie will get fired after the 2010 season. New coach will come in with a high pick, new scheme and eventually clean house. Thats my prediction.
  21. What is the record for most interceptions in a season! I think our guy may have a shot at it this year
  22. Vikings 38 Bears 20 It will be close at half- by then all hell will break loose. A typical Bear loss. The secondary will be picked apart, they'll have no running game and cutler will force more throws into interceptions.
  23. Normally 3 straight years at missing the playoffs gets a coach fired. I really hope this happens. . we need to head in a different direction. Cowher would be my #1 choice if this occurs. My second choice would be Shanahan- the dude knows how to run an offense with an elite QB (Elway, Cutler). Cowher knows how to run a team period.
  24. Cutler absolutely sucks in the redzone. . . Pathetic. Hopefully everyone will stop praising this dude. He was the main reason we lost this game. He has all the tools, but in the crunch, you can't really count on him. He had 3 opportunities to have a winning drive vs GB, ATL and now SF and he is 0-3. Our O-line does suck, but when is he going to come through?!? The thought of no draft picks is becoming scarier each day.. . This team is going to suck for awhile.
