I just don't think Poles is going to pay a below average RT 15 mil a year.

All of them are flawed but  Taylor has the biggest upside and Youngest. Maybe O Brown at 22 is a better value and is a quality OT.

I don't see him throwing away the growth of Jones after a good first year. Maybe he sticks Brown at RT. The cheap money for Jones can justify overpaying in FA.

I think its Taylor. Maybe Andrew Wylie and drafts a future starter. 8-9 mil ?

Bobby Okereke is a done deal.

I think he's not getting in a bidding war for Dremont Jones, so goes after a 8 to 10  mil Zach Allen. young with upside.

I think he sticks with Patrick and drafts a OC .Or maybe thinks a Evan Brown works and surprise us.

I tink the CB acquisition is a Rock Ya-Sin at 4-5  mil.

I think maybe a 1 year 10 mil deal for a 30 year old Frank Clark.

T.J. Edwards and Jack Sanborn were teammates at Wisconsin.

Ian Cunningham connection too. Great signing. LB room looks a lot better now.

They got 3 years of Edwards for less than 1 year of Roquan. Insane deal for the Bears.

Hometown kid, from Lake Villa, only 26.

159 total tackles (7th in NFL), 99 Solo (7th in NFL), 10 TFL (38th-T in NFL), 7 PD, 2 sacks, 5 QB Hits, and 1 FR in 2022.

Seems like McGlinchey is guy they are very focused in on closing. Doesn't look as promising on the DT out of Denver who seems like he wants to go to Cleveland (and Cleveland just created a ton of cap space).

...and both went undrafted and both wear #57.

Year one didn't prove much for Edwards with Eagles (4 GS with 30 combined tkls and 15 solo)...then in year 2:

2020:  12 GS/ 1 INT / 2 sacks / 70 comb tackles - 37 solo

Whereas Sanborn did this his rookie year:

2022:  6 GS / 0 INT / 2 sacks / 64 combined tackles - 50 solo

Sounds like McG is coming to Chicago, got that wrong. Trench warfare soured me on McG.

Edwards signing does not take them out of Bobby Okereke market. They view him as the weakside, Sanborn would be the potential strong side with Edwards in that scenario.

Seperately - one of the better interior FA olinemen is off the market - Ben Powers headed to Denver.

Go read Trench Warfare on Larry Borom and you'll feel better.

Saw a rumor, no link,  that Bears are interested in Eagle G Isaac Seumalo.

McGlinchey to Denver.

He signed a massive deal...

5 year 87.5 mil - 50 guaranteed.

Not bad regardless what trench warfare said.

McGlinchey getting 5/87.5M, over $50M guaranteed. Hard pass.

Yikes, I was thinking he was worth  3 / $45M.  Of course I'm always low relative to the market but this kind of a deal for that type of player is what you have to avoid in FA.  I don't know what the fall-back option will be.

With that said - Broncos have Sean Payton, total offensive guru, and just landed 2 strong olinemen in first 90 minutes.

They had $32M and no 1st rounder (due to Wilson trade), so McGlinchey and Powers seems like all they can do unless they restructure or trade someone.

That's being all-in on Russell Wilson.  We need to get people on base before we swing for the fences.
