I am a nosey bastard. I not everyone is from Chicago and was wondering what other teams in the major sports you guys like. Me: MLB- White Sox. I hate the Cubs NHL- Blackhawks. Much hate for the Wings and Blues NBA- Bulls. Still hate Pistons and Knicks. I grew up on the north side, went to St Pat's and have a gaggle of kids. Four little crumb snatchers belong to me. Sons 15 and 8 and daughters 13 and 9. Like I said just a little nosey.

http://bleacherreport.com/articles/209154-...ng-with-america I read this article and itt got me thinking. It could generate some good discussion. Should athletes speak out on touchy/political issues? Sure they can bring attention to the matter, but is it their place? Should we value their opinion? Also should the USA be the big brother to all countries?

Well we decided our draft order today by drawing names from a hat. I wound up with the 1st overall pick in a 15 round 10 team PPR league. While I like the idea of having the #1 overall, the drawback is that it's an eternity till my next pick since the draft order will snake. But it also means when I do pick I get to pick twice on all my next remaining picks. My first thought is AP #1 but I have looked at various different ppr rankings for RB and I see AP anywhere from 1st to 3rd often behind Foster and Ray Rice. I can kind of see the arguments for Rice and Foster. Foster worries me because of the hamstring which does seem minor and he's making good progre…

No matter what your personal politics are, I think it's very iportant to stay informed and see how these 2 major candidates handle some non-softball questions. I encourage everyone to watch and be part of the process.

You can find the calculator here: http://taxcut.barackobama.com/ For 95% of Americans, their taxes will go down under Obama; if you make over $250,000, you'll pay more. Don't believe Obama? Well, as Parade Magazine points out, if you're really, really, really, rich, John McCain will save you hundreds of thousands of dollars in taxes. If you're really really rich, vote McCain! If not, you'll lose money going with Johnny Square-Jaw.

A new 30-second spot on Barack Obama's Web site is urging voters to "talk to your boss" or professor and then take the day off from work or school to volunteer for his campaign on Election Day. The "Take the Day" campaign suggests voters sign up to go to battleground states or work in phone banks closer to home on Nov. 4, when they would normally be at work or in class. "We can't win this election unless every Obama supporter gets out and votes on November 4th. To do that, we need a massive team of volunteers helping us. Can you take next Tuesday off from work, join the final push, and make sure that everyone who supports Barack turns out to vote?" asks the Web …

  16. It feels like it was ages ago that game 6 started.... This has been a hell of a series. There has been a total of 35 min of OT played. Four games going to OT. I would totally LMAO of the Bulls were to blow out game 7 lol. Just once can the Bulls win one in some kind of normal conventional fashion... like I don't know... regulation? I'm in my early thirties and not quite the picture of health, my heart can't take much more of this. I do want to survive to see the Bears play this year. Take away the game three Boston blowout win, every game has come down to the last play... often times coming down to the last play several times in the same game... lol. Go Bulls. …

  17. I'll be in Chicago December 28th/29th in the Grant Park Area what are some fun things to do and see. How close would we be to the Hard Rock Cafe (gotta buy a shirt). Dad and I will be checking in early on Monday then going to the game. Tuesday we'll be checking out and at some point taking the train back to South Bend. We'll have some time to kill before the game and the next morning.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0HNNADGCyI4 Nobody on the McCain side really believes Obama is a radical Muslim with real ties to terrorism. On election night, if McCain wins, we all know he'll get up there and talk about Obama like he's his favorite person in the world. Some of his most racist followers parrot these lines because they're ignorant. But really, McCain and his team are just playing politics, right? But then we get to within 10 days of the election and things still aren't going well. Joe the Plumber just isn't getting you any traction... What do you need as a campaign? A real game-changer. Something so ugly you could tie to your opponent it m…

Da Coach is on the McCain-Palin Team Watch video at link Mike Ditka uses locker room flair at Pennsylvania rally Updated 3:04 PM CST, Fri, Oct 31, 2008 Mike Ditka steps up for the McCain/Palin ticket at a campaign stop in Pennsylvania. Da Coach showed his passion. He had his usual flair. It was something right out of a 1985 locker room speech to the Chicago Bears. "Don't talk about what you're going to do," Mike Ditka told the crowd at a Pennsylvania rally Friday. "Prove you can do something." As Ditka stood on stage with presidential candidate John McCain and his running mate, Sarah Palin, he looked almost Presidential himself...or at least Senato…
