Here is my mock draft scenario, and based on all mock drafts, none of my picks will be correct, however, it would be nice to address these positions: 1. Bears trade #20 to SF for #31, #74 (Rd3), and #157 (Rd5) so SF can draft Kenny Vaccaro at #20. 2. Bears trade #31 and #188 to Philly for #35 (Rd2) and #101 (Rd4) who were looking to move into the late first. 35 (2) - Arthur Brown, LB 50 (2) - Kyle Long, OT (Original Pick: David Amerson, CB) 74 (3) - Brian Schwenke, OC 101 (4) - Marquise Goodwin, WR 117 (4) - Logan Ryan, CB (Original Pick: Brennan Williams, OT) 153 (5) - Zac Dysert, QB 157 (5) - Bennie Logan, DT

With the latest issue with LJ and the Chiefs it is highly possible that he could be avaiable and a change of senery could do him well. I think LJ and Forte would make a nice rotation. Would you trade Harris for LJ?.

Maybe a decent signing? Injury troubles and aging...but a vet presence.

The Path to the Draft episode today on NFL Network had a Bears War Room feature where they talk about the roster and picks in the first few rounds that they think would make sense. They've been doing these for all the teams leading up to the draft. It will probably be rebroadcast a few times in the next 24 hours, but I'm not sure about availability after that.

I said it and a lot of others said it, the Bears were way to predictable last year. I remember being at the games calling out plays before the snap. HOPEFULLY, Orton will be healthier and better able to plant come next week against the Vikings - the true/actual "make or break" game on the Bears schedule. The Rams are a mess, yet Orton and the Bear passing game has been getting worse as the game has worn on - not unlike the Packer game. Orton can't plant and has been inaccurate on many downfield throws. Additionally, the receivers, look pretty pedestrian. This is fine against the Rams, but the Vikings will score repeatedly next week, the only shot the Bears have is a pre-injury type performance from Orton.

Looks like Denver is screwed up front and may be ready to entertain trying to pry some linemen away from other team. Quite frankly I believe there are too many DTs on the team. I think we need to act quick and send the big Toe over that way, even if its not an exhilarating haul in terms of draft picks. Between Melton and Okoye and Adams, you have a 3 man rotation. That doesnt even include Paea. On that note - if we knew Melton was going to be ready to start and that we would be picking up Okoye....we would have been much better off with OL in rounds 2 and 3 would we not? Ug.
