I like what Poles has done. Stuck to BPA ( good teams do that) , not what I wanted but what's best. He hasn't bogged the team down with high priced contracts like Pace did. Traded Mack for cap relief. Mack hasn't been Mack for a few years, so that was a good decision. He has rebuilt the roster but I think with the possibility of winning this year. DEFENSE: This defense will be better than last year. Our first two picks should start and I think they bring Ogunjobi back. DE: Q Mohammed- Quinn-Gipson-Snowden- Robinson. ( with Mack hurt) better than last yr. DT: Ogunjobi?-Jones-Edwards- Tonga-Blackson (Hicks was hurt , Goldman sucked) better LB:…

What are the thoughts on Brandon Tate? I read Brad Biggs piece on him and he sounds like a Desean JAckson or Eddie Royal type of player. Will we be able to get him?

  6. Bears are currently 6.5 dogs in Las Vegas. The line seems about right unless you watched MNF. The Raiders looked terrible with only 213 yards on offense, most coming on 2x TD drives (159 yds) in the 3rd quarter. For the other 3 quarters, nothing. They looked like the Bears playing the Browns. Their first 7 drives (the entire first half) consisted of the following: 3 and out, punt 3 and out, punt 3 and out, punt 4 and out, turnover on downs 6 plays, punt 3 and out, punt 2 plays, end of half 26 total yards in the first half, down 21-0 On their only first down in the first half, a 21 yard gain to Waller, Waller got a 15-yard penalty for taunting lol. …

The original mock draft for 2017 produced the following: 2017 EVERYONE AGREES MOCK - VER 2.0 1. Jonathan Allen, DE, Alabama - Nearly half the board is upset, regardless of the pick 2. Pat Mahomes, QB, Texas Tech - Assures Barkley doesn't start 3. Budda Baker, S, Washington - Gives the Bears a solid back-end 4. Chad Wheeler, OT, USC - Potential for either side 4. Kevin King, CB, Washington - Good size/speed combo, cohesion with Baker 5. Fabian Moreau, CB, UCLA - Rising draft boards, could be a steal 7. Pharaoh Brown, TE, Oregon - Skilled pass-catcher with injury history Yes Votes for QB in RD1 - 10 Alaska - RD1 QB=Y Ashkum - RD1 QB=Y AZ54 - RD…

Kyle Long is already injured and could miss training camp. I make the call he doesn't play this year. Bryd, Mooney, Goodwin, along with Cohen and D. Williams gives us one of the speediest groups in the NFL, plus add 4.44 Justin Fields everyone under 4.45, and 3 WRs under 4.38. I like!!! Also I read where 4.6 David Montgomery cut 1.5 seconds off his time with a speed coach. What to see that.

Am I literally the only one who thinks giving up Orton was a mistake? I don't think Joe Montana could have done more with the hodge-podge set of tools Orton had available to him, eg Rashied "Arena-Hands" Davis and Marty Booker. I would not be surprised if Orton is a top tier quarterback next year under the coaching staff in Denver.

  12. A whole lot of Jay Cutler’s ex-coaches are ripping him, anonymously http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2015/...im-anonymously/ http://espn.go.com/blog/chicago/bears/post...with-jay-cutler Posted by Michael David Smith on March 4, 2015, 2:29 PM EST Jay Cutler AP Bears quarterback Jay Cutler has rubbed a lot of his coaches the wrong way during his time in Chicago, and now they’re ripping him in the media — but not putting their names behind their criticism. ESPN cites “at least 10 former Chicago Bears staffers from the Lovie Smith and Marc Trestman regimes” who say they don’t think the Bears can contend for a title with Cutler as the quarterback.…

Among the MANY things that come to mind once the shock settles in was the value Denver placed on Orton. Watching NFL Network, I think they were talking w/ Charlie Casserly. Pretty sure that's who it was. Anyway, he said there were several other teams very serious in the mix, but at the end, it came down to Orton. NYJ - They were willing to match picks, but Denver didn't care for their young, unproven QB prospects. Wash - Simply put. Casserly said Denver preferred Orton over Campbell, and by some measure. The feeling was Campbell was more similar (in terms of style) to Cutler, while Orton is more similar to Cassell, who he wanted all along. Minn…

Found this on another forum - a list of starting offensive linemen around the league and the number of sacks they allowed. Linemen get assessed 0.5 either for allowing an assisted sack on a solo block or allowing a solo sack as half of a double-team block. They get assessed 0.25 for allowing an assisted sack as half of a double-team. 2008 Bears players are in bold. New players for 2009 are in italics, although Chris Williams and Frank Omiyale are omitted, since neither had enough starts in 2008 to make the list. LT 1. Ryan Clady (Broncos) 0.5 sacks allowed (16 starts) 2. Michael Roos (Titans) 1.0 sacks allowed (16 starts) *PRO-BOWL* 3. Tra Thomas (Eagles) 2…

Post your dream draft. Don't make it completely unrealistic, but allow yourself to dream about the what-ifs that happen every year in the NFL draft. Here's my dream draft: 1-16: Duke Robinson, OG, OU (I don't mix words. The Bears need OL, and with an improved OL the rest of the offensive players will be better, including the WRs that everyone seems to hate.) 2-48: Phil Loadholt, OT, OU (With the OG position taken care of, the Bears still need at the very least a OT, if not another OG. Getting Duke's teammate would be huge.) 3-81: Mark Sanchez, QB, USC (Projected as a 2nd to 3rd rounder, this would be perfect for the Bears. If Bradford, Stafford, Tebow, a…
