Post your dream draft. Don't make it completely unrealistic, but allow yourself to dream about the what-ifs that happen every year in the NFL draft. Here's my dream draft: 1-16: Duke Robinson, OG, OU (I don't mix words. The Bears need OL, and with an improved OL the rest of the offensive players will be better, including the WRs that everyone seems to hate.) 2-48: Phil Loadholt, OT, OU (With the OG position taken care of, the Bears still need at the very least a OT, if not another OG. With the latest issue with LJ and the Chiefs it is highly possible that he could be avaiable and a change of senery could do him well. I think LJ and Forte would make a nice rotation. Would you trade Harris for LJ?.

Not that this is something new, but it is interesting to see how the media reacts to two different losses this week. KC and CHI. So we lose to OAK in London with our backup QB and several other injuries to the same team that beat the Colts in Indy the week before. Those same Colts just beat the Chiefs in KC. So you would think, things like Power Rankings would reflect a similar outcome for the Bears and Chiefs. If this happends I would seriously consider offering him a big deal to land a top tier WR, who still has alot of good years left in him and can be a game changer.

Have been reading around and hearing about some folks that "could" fit into the Bears plans. Nothing solid mind you just rumors. Names on the list: Berrian ( ), Carolina's Steve Smith ( ), NE's Logan Mankins ( ) , Alphonso Boone (this one actually is more true than not) and I even heard someone mention Jeff Garcia ( Any others out there? This year, our passing game outlook is simply so different, it is hard to grasp. We have a franchise, top 5 potential QB. We have an upgraded OL which may not be great, but looks pretty good. While we do not have "elite" WR talent (proven) we have considerable potential and quantity, more than I believe I can recall in some time. I have been playing w/ the numbers, and just have a hard time rationing out the stats. IMHO, looking at Cutler, I think 4,000 yards on 340 completions is not out of the question. I touched on this in another thread, but wanted to throw it out there. I think most here (though not all) would like to see us consider OL in the 1st round of the draft, particularly if one of the key OT prospects fall to us. But this is what is bothering me. If our two key FA signings before the draft are both OL (Omiyale & St. Clair) how likely is Angelo to then take an OT in the 1st round of the draft? IMHO, signing Omiyale and St. Clair does nothing to take away from our needs on the OL. Here are the Bears Free Agents heading into the offseason. Counting Special Teams, the Bears have 5 starters that are UFAs. Daly and Duvernay are low salaries guys that can be brought back with little cap considerations. So that leaves Brisker, Byard, and Wright. Out of those 3, I would bring back Byard, he should be the cheapest of the 3 and gives you the most in terms of performance and leadership. Brisker played a great game against the Rams but is too big of an injury risk with his concussion history. Wright started out on fire, then got burnt for the back half of the season.
