http://www.nationalfootballpost.com/2009/0...-diner-news-93/ CHICAGO BEARS — At some point, the Bears will have to address their quarterback situation. There were times last season when Kyle Orton appeared to have a good handle on things, but after sustaining an ankle injury, he was not the same productive player he was earlier in the year. The Bears need a marquee player on offense, someone they can build around and make all the other pieces fit. They need someone they do not have to manage but who can run a complete offense. The need is there, but I doubt the Bears will be serious players. They have the 18th pick in the first round, but they hate to part with p…

We the Bears are missing a player here and there to make it back to the SuperBowl. I for one would sign Moss since he says that he doesn't need to be the NO #1 WR. If we could sign Jackson or Bowe, sign Moss and then draft Floyd........Cutler will have an orgasim!! Not to mention how other teams defenses will have nightmares on how to stop the Bears passing game with these three plus Hester and Bennett & Knox. Maybe Tice can talk him into coming here! http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/category/rumor-mill Randy Moss says he’s “coming to tear somebody’s heads off, man” Posted by Mike Florio on February 13, 2012, 11:29 PM EST ReutersIn 1998, …

Looks like the offense we ran with Shane Matthews at QB. Only with more turnovers. Not going to get too down on them after PS Game 1 but this team, on offense, wasn't ready to play tonight. Come on Nerdman, impress me!

Jeff Garcia just got cut. Wouldn't it be a good security blanket to have him in Chicago? The guy has proven himself in the NFL, and I'm not all that impressed with the Bears' backup QBs. What could it hurt? Thoughts?

Im wondering if its ever been done. We have requisite playmaking ability along the line and it seems to me we could drop 1-2 guys into zone as needed...but really put the heat on pass rush and pound gaps in the run game. What if our starting D line was Brown, Dvoracek, Harris, Ogun and Anderson. Leave Hunter and Urlacher at the second level...and try something different. Just brainstorming. Flamesuit is on. And where do I send my resume for the potentially available D Coordinator job?

I think he is. No way, at his age, he should heal so fast from injuries and all of a sudden his career takes a big swing up. That stuff wouldn't naturally happen at his age IMO Oh, and I have absolutely no facts to back up my accusation.

Not really ESPN breaking news stuff. More speculation but thought it was worth bringing up. His only year that he was productive was with Cutler when he caught 91 passes for 980 yards. I don't see how it couldn't hurt to offer up a 7th round draft pick for the guy. I'd rather us go aggressively after Brandon Marshall but Eddie Royal would be an okay move imo. Thoughts?

Useless butthole

Peanut was on the SCORE tonight at 8 pm. Some highlights: - Had a Flag Football challenge for charity last week. Evidentally, Rod Wilson was a all american QB in high school and tore it up on the field. - Was very happy with his play last yr. Felt he dropped some easy picks, however, and this kept him from making the pro-bowl. - Felt that rookie salaries may be unfair in that they get money based on their play in college. I hope the NFLPA is open to addressing this during the next contract negotiations. Overall, a very good interview. One final note. He was in his car with his daughter and she kept saying she was hungry - evidentally they were on their…

Pats ended up getting the win, but the Dolphins blew a late lead as Troy Smith led the Ravens down for the game tying field goal. Stover to attempt a FG in OT for a Ravens win. Come on, make it, I want those stinking fins to go 0-16 with the Pats going 16-0 just to shove it to that old Dolphin team.

All I can say

Cornerbacks available when the Bears pick in the draft. https://www.nbcchicago.com/news/sports/nbcsports/nfl-draft-2022-10-cornerbacks-bears-may-target-with-their-picks/2796509/

Seems like the NFL players union this board has taken a dump. I know there is not anything to write about, But it seems like everytime I come here nobody is even browsing. Oh well, my 2 cents for the moment.

Bears QB Kyle Orton spoke with the media on Wednesday, and made two things very clear — he feels fortunate his right ankle injury wasn’t more severe, and he’s not ruling himself out against the undefeated Titans on Sunday. Orton said he will not practice today as he continues rehab. Beyond that, he considers the injury day to day.
