Chester Taylor to the Texans might make sense for the Bears: http://www.suntimes.com/sports/football/be...-for-bears.html This is by Sean Jenson. The Texans have their 4 top running backs hurt so they might be interested in giving up a late round draft pick for Taylor who is due 1.25 million this year. He also mentions that Khalil Bell is a core special teams player and looked good Saturday. Meanwhile, Taylor carried the ball 3 times for 3 yards. I can't remember ever seeing Taylor with the Bears and thinking anything but, "He might be a servicable running back who blocks well." Marion looked like a freaking beast. On a side note, Unga rush…

@Adam_Schefter: Taylor reaches agreement w/Bears on a 4-year, $12.5 million deal that includes $7 million gtd in year 1

Long time fan of his. Sorry to see someone my age die from something tragic as a car wreck. Had not heard of him for years since leaving the midwest over 30 years ago but did enjoy him when I heard him. Funny and sad how one can hear someones voice in their head. Kinda like the mouth. Morton Downey. Don't know where that came from. But both aird in Chicago at one time or another. Oh and another Dick Beondie. WLS. "The way women skirts are going they are going to have to part their hair in two places soon." Will that get me banned here like it got Beondie from WLS a long time ago. For those of you who never lived in the Chicago area I'm sorry for my old man ra…

http://espn.go.com/blog/chicago/bears/post...aive-de-ozougwu Austen Lane remains, for now.

Halfway through the 1st quarter and Bears are down 0-7. Why? Cutler throws his SECOND INT for a pick six!!!! WTF?!?!?!?!!??! Maybe Jay is taking Jason's advice in purposely tanking. Geeez!!!!

A win keeps slim playoff hopes alive, a loss basically eliminates the team from the post season.

Here we go, our only route to the playoffs is through Detroit with GB beating MIN. Since we can only draft in 2 spots, the draft position is irrelevant. They have also moved the GB/MIN game to a 3:25 pm start time with the flex scheduling. With the SF loss, GB is now the #2 seed; so in order to get a Bye, they need to win against MIN with SF playing ARZ.

We are in the quiet period of Bears talk since most beat writers are taking vacations while coaches and players are doing the same before camp. It is a good time to make your predictions on players who surprise or emerge in this new DA scheme. Let your imagination out and lets hear who your player is and some reasons why.

Last chance at a roster spot everyone!

Ladies and gentlemen...it's on.

Barber and Louis are out, Chris Harris, Roy Williams are game time decisions, Meriweather has gotten most of the 1st team D reps this week in practice. Growl.

I found an article on WindyCityGridiron.com: Chicago Bears 10 Positions of Need in 2024, non QB edition It lists 10 positions of need, not including QB in the argument. These all have been discussed on the forum by our posters, but it is a nice breakdown with reasons behind the selections. Good arguments were made for each position listed. If Poles could fill all of these with quality starters, we will be a playoff team. (Assuming we have the Coaching Staff to maximize the roster's ability.) 10. Back-up Safety 9. Interior Offensive Line Depth 8. Back-up Tight End 7. Wide Receiver 3 6. Punt Returner 5. Safety 4. Edge 3. Cen…

http://bleacherreport.com/articles/212882-...rs-2009-preview Preview on the Bears for 2009. I think we upgraded at every position except for WR I hope that Cutler and better offensive line can hopefully make up for the lack of a true #1 WR

Interesting how people couldn't understand why he never got a HC job, now he's down to a RB coach..

http://maddenlist.com/2008/07/23/3232-chicago-bears/ Devin Hester is going to dominate and our defense is sick nasty. We are a top 10 team in madden easily.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=W7-rVcQ4F8M I just made this, what do you guys think? Outside of the fact that the Bears dominate in Madden. Song is "Drivin' down the block" by Kidz in the Hall.

Since this works so well at Soxtalk, i figured i would start a thread here for the same purpose. If you feel that something is discussion-worthy, but dont feel like starting a new thread, post it here. Maybe a Mod can sticky this at the top of the page. The reason i started the thread is because I heard Moose on the Score yesterday during an update, and he didnt sound like he thought he was coming back to the Bears. The one quote that jumped out at me was when he said: "If the Bears want to sign someone younger and go in a different direction, Im sure I can get another job somewhere else" (not verbatim) Good riddance, the guy thinks way too highly …
