Especially not when the DT talent in this draft is so good throughout the first two rounds. If that's the Bronco's offer then we'd have to go well above that to get him to sign since his preference is to stay in Denver. Elway knows keeping that defense together is the only way they'll get back. But still that's getting crazy IMO and he's probably got to pay Von Miller $17-20mil/yr.

Little bored this Saturday playing mock drafts and reading. My question is what two players or positions do you think will be best for the Bears going into 2020 and beyond to draft in Round 2 if we cannot trade back? My two with some luck: OT- Austin Jackson OT USC - there seem to be a decent amount in this draft, one could fall? I could live with a Prince Tego-Whanago also OLB- Terrell Lewis OLB ALA- also a player I see late RD1 early Rd 2. We did sign Quinn, but rotation and freshness keeps the pressure on. If he is available, the Bears need another body. Let's see what two players could boosts our chances.

I'm not blaming the media, like a desperate politician. However, is it me, or no matter what, the Bears (and I'm just talking ownership, management, and coaches)look like morons in the press. Much of it I believe is deserved, however there's some of it that just seems like it's prepetuating a non-existant myth. The only good thing you hear about the organization is Hester. Emery mentioned about adding playmakers to the team. I think Forte was not used properly last year and I think Trestman will do a better job of that. I think Bennett adds a lot to our offense. Jefferys gets better and you cant beat Marshall(he s a stud) Were not going to grab a RB in the draft, and I doubt very much if we draft a TE, so if we find a playmaker if will be at WR. I think the only 3 WRs that will turn into impact playmakers will be Austin, Patterson, and Woods. My first choice would be Austin, which could possibly be there for us in the first. Otherwise Woods could be there in the second, if we choose to go that way. SO WHAT DO YOU GUY…

I heard today on the Score that one team has offered a 6th round pick for Olsen. If someones scouits think he is only worth a #6, I dont see anybody offering a #2 for him, except maybe from the Canadian League.

I had an interesting conversation from a person that spent some time with the team. I'm not naming my source, but... On Trestman: Knows offense like crazy. Runs an ultra soft camp. Players were actually lobbying to hit more. Some pleading to the staff that they needed contact. Practices lacked intensity. Offense completely dominated the defense. On talent: Cutler is a stud. Of all the QB's he's played with, Cutler was the best at running practice and making sure players were in the right position and accountable. Just listened to it on the score. Said everyone on offense should be held accountable, even if it meant jobs. Said he's trying his hardest not to let this affect him, but it's affecting him more than it should. This could get ugly if we don't make the playoffs. He got so angry he had to leave the podium.

I was reading some interesting info on Garza. Garza graded out as the second best lineman on the team this year. He is a team leader and has been relatively healthy. I was wanting to move on from him, but have changed my mind and want him for one more year. We still need to add a eventual replacement, maybe find someone in the later rounds.

What got into him? He was awful in Chicago and he goes on to Tennessee and is contributing like a real WR. He ended the season last year on a hot streak of several games and is having a decent year so far this year with Kerry "Im drunked" Collins. I always hate when a player leaves the Bears and goes elsewhere and contributes more than he did in Chicago.
