I keep seeing mocks and discussion that list OJ Howard as a possible pick. I just can't see it. In fact, it borderline pisses me off. As far as I'm aware, #3 would be the highest drafted TE ever. On top of that, many are saying this is the deepest TE class ever. A top-5 pick on OJ Howard makes so little sense it's baffling. So please, anyone, convince me why it's remotely a smart idea.

I was wondering with all the Sherman trade talk; What are they asking for him? I'm thinking too much. At 29, he still has many years left. I also think once he loses a step that he would be a phenomenal FS. He's probably one of the smartest players I've seen. Then there's the mouth... Let it rip fellas!

He's still rumored to be available and after the Tim Jernigan trade there is speculation that he would cost a mid-round pick. He's had issues in the past and is in the last year of his deal, but the Bears have plenty of cap room to absorb his deal and even extend him. He would make the line potentially scary. What about #3 to the Jets for #6 and Richardson? The Bears wouldn't need Allen/Thomas anyway and at #6 could still go QB/Adams/Hooker.

No one knows how the Bears view the top players, there are so many so called draft experts that it can be confusing to actually figure out the actual value. He ran a 4.52 forty at the combine and it shows on the field where he is quick to get open and can threaten defenses deep down field. He is an aggressive inline blocker, not the strongest and often gets himself overextended. That's correctable and at least his heart is in it. Since we do not know Paces evaluation of the current roster, where do we go with the pick considering the talent on the team at this time. At QB- Glennon starts and could be the long range answer but no one has the answer to that question right now. I think him and Sanchez being added guarantees we dont go there in the first. At WR- Will Ashton gone now, it leaves us banking on White as being the player we drafted but still a big question mark. With adding Wright and Wheaton, I see us not going with a WR in the first. At TE- we added a blocking TE with catching upside, Miller will get less playing time and should help him stay healthier. I think they like B…

I have always said a team should have an identity. Teams usually win with a dominant side of the ball. Rarely does a team win a championship without either. That being said, the brass wants our identity to be a dominant defensive team with a ball control offense winning the time of possession battle. The more I gain information on this draft the more I see there being a run on QBs early. With that said, if SF does not take a QB at 2, I totally see Cleveland moving up to 3 to grab Trubisky So here is the scenario: Cleveland gives us the 12th pick, #33-#67 and a fifth rounder-175 for our third spot.
