http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/2010/writ...-week-13/1.html Predictions 1. Falcons 13-3 (4-1) 2. Packers 12-4 (5-0) 3. Giants 11-5 (4-1) 4. Seahawks 7-9 (2-3) 5. Saints 13-3 (5-0) 6. Bears 10-6 (2-3) has us beating the Lions and Jets Out: Eagles 10-6 (3-2) loses tie-breaker to Bears Bucs 9-7 (2-3) Rams 7-9 (2-3) loses tie-breaker to Seahawks I just don't see us winning only 1 vs NE, NYJ, MIN, and GB. Also, I doubt the Giants go 4-1, and both NO and GB both win out. That would be 9 straight for NO. Its amazing how they talk about the Bears easy schedule. I believe NO's only win vs a winning team was vs PIT at home. We have beat the P…

Lions WR Nate Burleson is guaranteeing a victory over the 8-3 Bears this Sunday. Starting QB Shaun Hill is not playing...and in favor of him will be 3rd stringer Drew Stanton. What do you guys think? Does Burleson wind up looking like an idiot for guaranteeing this win? Story : http://www.chicitysports.com/2010/12/01/li...ory-over-bears/

Looking ahead slightly, this is a real blow to that Jets defense.

Ill Take it, this was definately a dangerous game for the Bears. With New Englnad looming next week it woulda been very easy to be upset this game. Detroit is definately a dangerous team and the result was win, but it was ugly. ILL take it anyday. Go Bears.

...this was a good win. Why you ask? The Bears LOST the turnover battle. They seemingly never win when they lose that. Detroit averages 31 ppg at home which is pretty damn good. They have a great redzone efficiency rate. The Lions are great in the last 2 minutes of a half. Don't look to Sunday and get down. The Bears play well at home and the Patriots were tied with Detroit after 3 quarters on Thanksgiving. Bear Down

Again it seems the big story from national publications is that the roughing call against Suh is what won the game for the bears. Like if Suh doesn't commit that penalty then the bears offense was helpless.

Remember the ridiculous Seattle and Washington games in which the Bears or their coaching staff did something completely foolish and cost the game? Each of those games should have been guaranteed wins, but something didn't work. It's hard to believe that this team could be sitting in the same spot with only one loss. It's even more difficult to believe that if they had taken care of business with those two games they would probably already have a playoff spot locked up.

Was listening a little to the "Herd" this morning. And of course Trent Dilfer made an appearance. (Colin is a big fan). They got to discussing the Bears. First thing Colin said is he thought the Bears were a "fraud". Asked Dilfer what he thought. Dilfer's reply was basically that he didn't believe in them. He did make one note that I found ironic. He felt the only real way that the Bears could even hope to make it into and through the playoffs (let alone Super Bowl) were if the Defense began to play off the chart. He felt that it mostly fell into the hands of Cutler being consistent and thusly why the team could not maintain it's momentum. They reviewed the rema…

I may be in the minority but I like our schedule going forward. It's tough, that won't change but the sequence is what I like. New England--at chicago and after a blowout win I have the optimism that the pats will not be as sharp than if they had just been blown out. My concern is that what they beat the Jets with is what we used to beat the lions with. Over the middle routs in the zone. We have Urlacher to help that middle part of the cover two but if we don't tackle better than we are doomed. I still objectively feel like we have a great chance given that the bears have recently been playing at the level of their opponent. At Minnesota--we'll see if we are…

They picked him up off the Cardinals' practice squad, cut Barry Turner to make room for him. When Johnson declared for the draft, some scouts he might end up as a right tackle in the long term, and others thought he'd have to stay put at guard. He's listed as a guard, but he'd be one of the biggest guards in the league - he goes 6'7" 360 pounds (or more.) Either way, it'll be interesting to see if Tice can turn him into anything, although I don't think he'll make any contribution this season. Johnson may be another long-term developmental guy like Webb, but at least it means the brass recognizes that there are problems up front. And if their strategy is to take…
