Just curious on your thoughts about Lovie's continous effort to go for it, and fail, on 4th & goal from the 1. I'm in the middle. They were down by 3 at the end of the 3rd and should've taken the points and tied it. They didn't and while the throw wasn't great, it was a ball Clark has to catch. Against the Lions they had 4 plays to get 20 inches and couldn't. Again I take the points but Lovie trusts his team can get such a short gain in 4 plays. On top of this, Forte needs to get his pads lower at the goal line. He's running too upright and is down at first contact by a player.

JJ Stankevitz did a good job breaking down our 4th quarter TD drive. I didn't even realize we never had a 3rd down on that drive. With that, a few of these guys should be available with the 7th pick in the round. If they are not sold on Petty or Hundley, I would go Smith/Shaw/Ekpre and pray for Ryan in the 5th. So it would either be CB-LB-S or S-LB-Other in the last 3 rounds.

In total the ‘23 draft yielded 3 WR in DJ Moore, Chase Claypool, and Tyler Scott. Collectively that’s a pretty good haul for a single draft. I definitely believe Scott was best available when we took him. He hedges things a bit with resigning Mooney and to a lesser extent Claypool. I dont think they keep Foles, as much as they have to pay him, they will need the roster spot. They show us keeping Nall, but why? Lots of talent in this group , they will need the roster spot. I think they dont keep Joel Iggy and instead keep Josh Woods, a better ST player. The extra two roster spots go to S Jordon Lucas and another CB in Duke Shelly. Both play STs and Shelly could be starting at NB with Vidor or Trufant starting at the other CB spot opposite Johnson.

Some people are upset over the Bears about the lack of FA involvement, but with almost everybody locked up long term, we only have so much room before we have to start cutting guys and taking cap hits. I have 45 players I feel are locks for the 53 man, at least 5 draft picks will be on the roster, and I have some tweeners that could go either roster, practice squad, or cut.
