I finally completed a review of the win over the Vikings with main focus on the line play, both sides. DLine: Solid play inside in this game mainly from Hicks. Either the coaches or McPhee are getting to him (likely both) because he's starting to play more violently. On his sack near the goal line he just clubbed the lineman with his right arm knocking him off balance and then just ran right past him. After some solid but unspectacular first few games his arrow is now pointing up. Unrein is still unable to get any movement in the pass rush. He's still a solid depth-type player but he's not what we need as a starter. OTOH Bullard is making progress in his pas…

If you like Oline play check out this screenshot of a Jordan Howard run late in the 4th quarter that helped win the game over the Vikings. This is inside 4min, Vikings know we're going to run and the box is stacked with 8 defenders and everyone else keyed into what Howard does at the snap. Our Oline blocks it well, Howard reads it well, and we gain 11yds for a 1st down. We have to start giving more credit to our TEs as well because both Paulsen and Miller are doing a good job blocking. The rest of the PFW analysis is excellent as well. http://www.profootballweekly.com/lists/201...e6c1ee/?page=14

Things will continue to change but Trubisky has moved into the top ranked QB spot in this years draft on CBS. http://draftbreakdown.com/video/mitch-trub...ittsburgh-2016/ There is a lot to like about his game and there are some question marks. It's already clear there will be question marks about each of the top QB in this years draft. http://www.cbssports.com/nfl/draft/prospec...&school=All

Initial reports indicate that the Bears have hired an outside consultant to evaluate the franchise due to them being extremely unhappy (essentially looking into everything). Not a lot of substance behind who / what / why they hired. Many seem to think Fox and maybe even Pace are truly on the hot seat (presumably everyone would be if this is truly a full organizational review. That said, Hub is speculating that the consultant is more looking at things from a valuation perspective as the family might be getting ready to sell the franchise.

http://sportsmockery.com/2016/10/alshon-je...s-to-this-club/ It's early, but worth talking about. The likelihood of Jeffrey being tagged again isn't high. Pace likes building through the draft. As it stands we are the third pick. Philly has two first rounders. Jefferey is healthy now. Are the bears willing to pay 14+ million/year for a receiver that has history of injuries. These are all decent reasons to consider it.

I remember when he first went out they said he had a strained thumb and then recently I heard someone say ligament damage. When is this guy going to be playing again? I don't see us being able to develop any of the talent with Barkley at QB. Peace

Very surprised there is not a thread on Leonard Floyd's performance last night. I was at work so I have yet to watch the game but I've seen highlights of his play. Both sacks, and even his "hurry" on Rodgers in the 1st quarter were excellent plays. Most impressive was seeing him cross the face of the OT and then fight through the double team right up the middle to take Rodgers down.

Fudge Pack favored by 10? Lacy out. QB comparison (Guess who): 109-181, 1170 yards, 6.46 AVG, 10 TD, 4 INT, 5 FUM, 88.4 Rating 130-189, 1396 yards, 7.29 AVG, 6 TD, 0 INT, 3 FUM, 100.8 Rating Just thinking of postgame implications. Is Fox on the hot seat if we go to 1-6 with Minnesota and a bye looming? If we go to 1-7, does he get axed? How about Loggains? Do the Bears make any coaching changes if we lose against GB or MIN or both? We are 2-9 in out last 11 games dating back to last season (or 3-10 in our last 13).
