In the second round we could go many different ways. At TE we may get the chance to grab the best TE in the draft Hunter Henry( not a blocking TE but the best available) Vannett and Morgan are the two best blocking TEs left in the draft and could be gotten in 3 or 4. I think we wait on TE RB) Henry is still out there and we valve Running in this offense. In latter rounds we have choices at RB Howard Collins Prossie Booker …

I've thought all along round #2 was the perfect spot for a 5 technique. We struck gold their with Goldman last year and the draft is much deeper. On a side note, Atlanta and Oakland both made deep reaches at safety in Neal and Joseph. i don't know what to think of that, but it helps the Bears in solidifying the defensive front.

Goff & Wentz officially off the board @ 1 & 2, respectively. I think something crazy happens and we end up with Bosa or Lynch. Realistically, I think we'll take the Dlineman from Louisville.

http://www.chicagobears.com/multimedia/vid...d5-70189b6de3f0 Figured everyone would like this video as we have debated BPA vs drafting a player of need. If Pace loves a guy and he is there, it looks like they will take BPA. Would love to see their draft board! Also said if the guys that are left when they pick are all close they would probably go with a need player. The best situation would be either Bosa or Buckner dropping. low chance The second best scenario would be us to trade back with Tenn (looking for a OT) which would get us an extra 3rd round pick by TVC. so we trade back with Tenn and get 15th pick (choice of Reed,Lawson,Jackson III) and there 76th pick 15th pick---Lawson / I think we valve pass rushers and he has the body of McPhee and the pass rush skills of Chandler Jones. 41th pick--Cris Jones/DT is still here so we grab a starter for the DL 72nd pick-C J Prossie we definitly grab a RB and he will fit in well with our RBC 76th pick(Tenn trade) Sean Davis can play both CB or S and will start as a …

After months of intense studying of prospects and (sometimes intense) beer drinking I am ready to proclaim who I think we'll draft today. 1st Rd) CB Vernon Hargreaves III. We've stayed away from any signs we like him. I see signs of a 2nd DE/Edge rusher taken ahead of us and possibly someone like Conklin. If that happens someone has to fall and right now it appears to be Hargreaves. He's not my first choice because I don't see him as a shutdown CB but he is elite in his quickness and can cover anyone for the first 20 yards. He'll start at NB while he learns the NFL. 2nd Rd) DE Chris Jones. He's been rated as far back as the 3rd round and later …

I saw 3 different mock drafts today from 3 different places and they all have Shaq Lawson going to the Bears at #11. The 3 have nothing in common so I gotta think where there is smoke there is fire. The 3 sources were an ESPN countable, Peter King, and Dan Pompei. ESPN was broadcast but here's what King and Pompei had to say: Peter King: 11. Chicago: Shaq Lawson, DE/OLB, Clemson. Keep hearing the Bears will go defense here, and if this scenario holds, I guarantee either GM Ryan Pace or coach John Fox, or both, will say post-first-round: “We never thought he’d be sitting there at our pick.” So many people I spoke with love Lawson’s effort, and think his first-step…

What are your thoughts on Kearse. I have looked at him on You Tube and feel he is an athletic with good size who seemed to play better in 2014 than 2015 but may have been holding something back because he wanted to enter the NFL without an injury. His uncle is Javon Kearse and his cousin is Philip Buchanon so the pedigree is there. My only concern is although he gets into a good position he doesn't finish plays i.e. if the running back gets to the line of scrimmage and he is in the box he doesn't drive into the back to make a big play, he looks like he is holding back wanting to make sure the back doesn't break a big one but I suppose being a safety is you have to m…

Brady's suspension reinstated. The players collectively bargained Goodell to have these powers and I am glad that this decision was made. In my opinion whether or not I believed in the ball deflation argument Brady and the Patriots should have cooperated with the league. If my boss feels I have done something wrong and as requested something to aid the investigation then I know what would happen to me if I didn't provide. I felt Brady destroying his phone was sticking the finger up to the league and if you can't have discipline then it gives a free rein for the players to do what they choose

Who's planning on going? Saturday was a blast last year. No pressure if you miss a 6th or 7th round pick, well a little, but being there is awesome. Great weather, downtown, nfl buzz. If anyone plans to go and want to meet for a bit, I am in.

I have seen several draft trade scenarios and was going to give a post to list them. Everybody has viewed the trade for Wilkinson option. (which we wont be bringing in a 15 mil player) (not Paces style) Here is one I seen on ESPN; 5. Jaguars trade 1-5, Luke Joeckel to Bears for 1-11, 2-41, 4-104. The Bears are another team that could at least theoretically have an interest in trading up for Tunsil, given that their left tackle is currently 2014 seventh-rounder Charles Leno, but this is a deal where the Bears get to trade up and come away with a veteran left tackle, too. Joeckel has failed to develop in Jacksonville, but he was worth the No. 2 pick three ye…

I am not saying I like this draft for the Bears. I do find it interesting as it is a recent 7 round draft with selections for the Bears that do not seem rubber stamped from the numerous mock drafts that have been posted. Hell, I do not even know half of the players on this list, LOL Reuter mock draft 7.0: Projecting all seven rounds The Bears Projected Selections: RD 1 - Ronnie Stanley - OT, Notre Dame RD 2 - Hunter Henry, TE, Arkansas RD 3 - C.J. Prosise, RB, Notre Dame RD 4 - Yannik Ngakoue, OLB, Maryland RD 4 - Willie Henry, DE, Michigan RD 5 - Cody Kessler, QB, USC RD 6 - Briean Boddy-Calhoun, CB, Minnesota RD 6 - Antwaun Woods, DT, USC …

  18. Today on my facebook I've had an article talking about 5th round draft pick Johnny Knox and one about 6th round Patrick Mannelly. The point of what was posted was their rounds. I love them both as Bears, but they are both exceptions to the rule. I know the Bears have a lot of lower picks, but I mean really.... Are they going for a we got rid of of the Black Unicorn but you may get one of these guys kind of thing?
