He was an undrafted free agent that signed with the bears this year. I can't find any articles that show his age. Anyone know is age? Interesting prospect, 6-4 310 LG from Yale. Was an Olympic weightlifter from South Africa and started all 4 years at Yale. Also an all star rugby player. Watched some tape on him and every play he put someone on his back. He is addicted to watching film which should allow him to assimilate to the NFL quicker. He loves football, smart ( Yale degree) and hard worker. Sounds like player that could stick.

Was listening a little to the "Herd" this morning. And of course Trent Dilfer made an appearance. (Colin is a big fan). They got to discussing the Bears. First thing Colin said is he thought the Bears were a "fraud". Asked Dilfer what he thought. Dilfer's reply was basically that he didn't believe in them. He did make one note that I found ironic. He felt the only real way that the Bears could even hope to make it into and through the playoffs (let alone Super Bowl) were if the Defense began to play off the chart. Film review by Tom Thayer. I for one am stoked about Sims' potential. Saw some other highlight films and thought this guy is a good catch. I love how he catches with his hands and he's big and strong (no, I don't have a man crush).

Per Tribune Dirk is gone. Looks like the Bears may have to change their minds about Jeremy Bates, if he would even consider the position now.

As per multiple sources. One year deal. Considering none of the quarterbacks in the draft are ready to play now--I think this means we'll draft a guy in round 2 or 3 and we have no intention of playing him this year.

Maybe I'm in a minority here, but the longer this CBA dispute goes on, the more disinterested I'm becoming in the upcoming season. I'm sure I'll change my tune once a deal is in place and everything gears up. But in a casual poll among my NFL fan friends, we're all kind of liking and enjoying the time off from thinking about the NFL. This doesn't bode well for the league. We got a taste of our own medicine tonight. Our offense against a legit D and we show how bad we are. Did Tice even realize what the weather was going to be like? Say what you want about the officiating it sucked in general but I would say sucked for both teams. My hats off to the Bears D as they fought all game kept us in this game... We lost 13-6.... Heard Ditka last night, and basically said win/win situation. Denver got a lot, and Chicago got a franchise QB. So I guess DJ Chark visited the Bears, and there is some interest in signing him. Chark is over 30, and he has had great seasons and not so great ones. One big advantage is that he has played in Ben Johnson's system before. I dont expect anything fast or soon, but it makes me wonder if DJ Moore might be in trouble int he next couple of years. It's interesting that the three players who mouthed off this year have all been addressed with depth. Cole Kmet and then Coltson Loveland DJ Moore and then Luther Burden, and possible Chark as a stop gap measure while Burden (who is a lot like Moore) comes up to speed Jaylon Johnson sitting out right now…

So after limited targets, they finally got Moore going. He now has 301 receiving yards (14th) and is on pace for 81 receptions, 1,279 yards and 9 TDs. This includes a game where Fields only passed for 99 yards. 15 of his 19 receptions have gone for 1st downs. He is trending in the right direction, which is nice to see considering the season.
