We still have some decent names out there to sign but the reality is there still hunting for good money. I think Hicks, Freeman, and Gersham leave town without contracts. I dont think going forward we will be over paying for FAs. We knew they were after Tev but Massie was a surprise pick. He is average but improves our OL never the less. DL- names left to chase Hicks Fairly Crick Knighton Jerkins ( heard that deal is not done yet) OLB …

Edit post. Seen a trade on twitter were Bears got Wilkerson for Bennett and the 2nd.

We just signed McMannis to a two year deal, I suspect for his ST play

RIP Bill Wade. Another member of the 63 champs. Remember watching him pass to Ditka.

Marc Mariani - WR - Bears At least four teams have shown interest in free agent WR Marc Mariani. Chicago is one of those teams. Mariani was forced into a bigger role last year because of injuries to Alshon Jeffery and Eddie Royal. He managed 22 catches for 300 yards over the course of 535 offensive snaps. Even in a thin wide receiver market, it shouldn't cost the Bears much to keep him.

Aaron Leming is pretty confident (on the radio right now) that Zach Miller will be re-signed.

With 7 career starts......... Proven zero in the NFL. Does that make everyone rethink the hated Cutler contract? It just shows you how hard it is to find a QB and how much you have to pay to get one.

Massie is getting 6 mil per, Trevathan 7-8, and Tracy porter 5, that means we have about 26 million to spend. DE is still a priority and we need to figure something out with the TE position. How the hell we going to spend 26 million?

Ian Rapoport on Twitter: "The #Bears are re-signing CB Tracy Porter, source said. They rejuvenated his career there.

Where does the NFL get this timeline? Last year between 3 and 5 pm is was announced the Bears signed Eddie Royal and Pernell. What I expect at 3:00 tomorrow: 1. We trade Martellus Bennett. It's probably a done deal but at 3:00 we can make it official. Jimmy Graham would be awesome. But probably a 6th rounder . . . 2. Danny Trevathan becomes official--we have the money and the scheme he wants. 3. Akiem Hicks--I think it's happening 4. Mid level players we haven't considered Between the Bears and Illinois playing at 4:30, I'm going to have a busy afternoon.
