http://www.chicagobears.com/multimedia/ I was watching his highlight tape on the Bears' site (above link) and I have to admit he has one of the most impressive plays I've seen from an offensive player without the ball. On one TD play at the 37sec mark he gets three blocks, falling down on the last one but gets right up and goes after a 4th block but can't quite get there. I am guessing this is what the Bears saw from him, not so much his inline blocking but his open field blocking. Forte should love this and again, it's one more reason to put the contract difference into an incentive because it is now more likely to be earned. I like what Clutts did for us…

For the last couple years there has been a split on this board about what the Bears offense needed. One side said big WR, the other side said OL. Well, I know it's early, and this may be a bit premature, but I believe the question appears to have been answered. The Bears have the WR talent that some were alredy saying was potentially one of the best in the league. Most would say the WR talent is top ten. What did top ten WR talent and franchise QB do yesterday with horrible OL play? It doesn't matter how many toys you give Jay Cutler if you can't protect him. This is true for any QB, but it's particularly true with Cutler.

Frustrating. For the second week in a row we've turned victory into defeat. This one was worse because you can't pin it specifically on one guy fumbling away his only two catches. This game came down to a few things: * Bad play calling and/or execution. We can't seem to gain those few yards we need on third down to extend our offensive series. Leaving just enough time on the clock for Griese to lead them down for the tying score. * Bad luck. There were a few opportunities we had on tipped balls where we were inches from making yet another pick. We have three decent DEs who have all shown flashes but this team hasnt had a pass rusher that can take over a game in a long time. The closest thing I can think of isnt even a DE, its Colvin. If this team could get a guy who can actually make a team gameplan for him our defense would dominate. Our d line has been ok the past few years and this year looks good against the run but if we could get pressure on the qb I think our defense could generate ridiculous amounts of turnovers. Well, this guy has shown that he can tackle. However, he is FAAAR from replacing Vasher in the lineup. The dude has no ball skills and cannot make the simplest of interceptions. Ryan made several looping throws that should have been easily picked off if the CB made a better adjustment to the ball. It was very frustrating to watch. We need our boys back. As much as we've been hearing from Lovie about our backup CBs, these dudes didn't impress at all.

Cedric Benson told reporters he would have 1,800 yards right now if he was running through the holes that Matt Forte has been running through in Chicago. He has a better chance at 1,800 DWIs. Wherever he goes, the holes seem to close much more quickly. Using his career 3.6 yards per carry, it would take the delusional Benson exactly 500 carries to reach his lofty projections.

ok, yes i am a Patriot homer, but here is how i would at least attemp to turn our beloved Bears around (although it would never happen) Fire GM and coaches. It seems that the coaching staff has decided that Olsen is a mismatch in certain situations, and those are the situations in which he'll be used. However, they have yet to explore the type of routes I saw Owen Daniels use against the Bears today. Like a person first learning how to play chess, Turner sticks with what has worked before, seemingly never learning from his mistakes. Below are the figures for the four teams: Detroit: $26.8 million Minnesota: $20.4 million Green Bay: $19.09 million Chicago: $17.4 million These numbers do not reflect cap credits each team will get, including as much as $9m we are due to receive in credit for CB Marcus Hamilton. $9m for Hamilton?
